Yeah it’s pretty different from the game we’re Charles just goes insane and you see him later in the prison a completely broken man who can’t even speak coherent sentences and only sings that down among the deadman song, it’s actually pretty sad to see him like that a former ally (almost friend even) reduced to nothing he then just gets executed offscreen which is sad but it’s historically accurate

Also, I just noticed that this game has a knack for making us mourn the deaths of people we never thought we’d feel bad for, Rackham was a surly coward, Thatch was a boundless madman, Vane was a paranoid scumbag, so on and so forth.
Wouldn't really call Thatch a boundless madman. If anything, he's more of a daring strategist. He successfully created a persona of a ruthless pirate through theatrics and cunning, while at the same time always trying to avoid unnecessary violence.

Perfectlly resumes both characters XDD Sparrows history is similar even; in this case, he was voted captain but then he got marooned some time after; yet he was made famous. Fun fact in the original pirates of the Caribbean when Jack Sparrow tips his hat at the dead pirates hanging the one to the far left (I believe) is suppose to be Jack Rackham.
I do, although this one is more historically accurate if we are to believe the records. In Black Sails, he is way too intelligent and competent, although in AC4 he is there mostly for the comedic effect and they may have pushed it a bit too far with that he was known to be a drunkard and not the most competent captain.
