Serum Ferritin test || It's role in inflammation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 чер 2021
- Serum Ferritin levels may be elevated in few of the inflammatory conditions where it acts as a marker for ongoing inflammation. Elevated levels of ferritin may also be observed in chronic liver disease and leukemias. Low levels of ferritin can also be found in iron deficiency anemia and related disorders.

Great explanation (of what I can hear and understand) and illustrations. However, captioning is needed in order to understand fully all that is spoken. It would be extremely helpful if this video can be revised by adding captioning. It would reach a greater audience as they would like it and share it.. I will also return to it and click "like it" after the captioning is added. Thanks in advance.
Sure, captions will be added shortly. Thank you !!

Ho do we differentiate between the Serum ferritin.... due to Inflammation? oversus excess iron stores? Has it something to do with the % of bound iron:? ie iron saturation?

Do u have high numbers. What is your symptomps ?
My husband s ferritin is still high post covid .he is otherwise doing well.what to do for that ??
How is he doing now? My dad's the same, he got out of the hospital and he doesn't need oxygen anymore but his ferritin levels are still really high although he feels and looks fine
@@rottenapples14 did your father's ferritin reduce now?
@@sumonsumon3121 honestly he never got tested again because we were told its normal that his level would still be abnormally high after being so sick. However hes ok now, it took him a couple months but hes getting back to normal so i would assume his ferritin must be within the normal ranges now
@@rottenapples14 My question is, does Ferritin really elevate in Covid-19 infection? How was his Serum Ferritin value? And test him again please.
@@sumonsumon3121 no need to test him anymore, he's already beat the disease entirely, this all happened in October but it 100% elevates the ferritin. At least the variant that he got elevated it, if i remember correctly his ferritin value was around 1800 at some point and i think the normal max value should be less than 350
Why ferritin can be 695.3 after COVID. And how to bring it down?
Same question
So far what I’ve heard is to give blood.
Giving blood once a month
@@007Ag after covid?
@@chikac8717 How are you now? Did your Ferritin come back to normal range?
