1957 MGA Coupe Restoration 14 Body Ready for Primer

- All major paint and rust stripping is complete, minus a few spots here and there that I want to re-do. I'll wipe/blow down everything, apply rust preventative, and then epoxy prime the body. From there, I'll transition to the fenders and such. Conceivably, I could actually paint the whole thing by the 4th of July, easily. Guess I need to start seriously thinking about the engine...

Great progress!
I'm thinking of purchasing a Coupe but I'm worried about the heat inside the cab. I love my '58 roadster. I love the look of the MGA Coupe.
They're probably as hot as any other car from the 50s. I'll be adding air conditioning to mine in time
@@christos7440 I've got a '54 Nash Healey Coupe and will add AC as well.
@@therestorationshop Very nice!, especially in silver
Have been following along and I have a question ------ I got my eye on a '58 Coupe ----- and would like to do what you are doing to yours ---- I only have pictures of the car ---- and I was looking to see what parts I may need ---- and looking at the front and the rear window seals ---- they both a really cracked ----- so in trying to get an idea of parts cost ----- I see the window seals are not out there ------ So ------ here's the question did you already pick up a set? ------ Do you have a source for buying them? ------ Thank You for sharing your work on the Coupe ------ Let me know ----- Rodney
I don't know of a source for the seals ... it never occurred to me that they're hard to find. I usually go with Moss Motors first, and then branch out.
I decided to call Moss and spoke to them --- and they -- DO -- have them both --- front and rear ---- One has to get them in a Bundle Package and they are on back order --- Makes me feel a lot better --- for I have a chance at getting a Coupe also ---- I wouldn't want to get the glass out and not have a source for the seals
