I applaud your persistency & mental toughness with these breakdowns. A mere mortal like myself would have had a breakdown from these breakdowns. Keep at it clutch, you’ll win in the end.
If the doser valve went bad your DEF may be contaminated, you may need to replace your DEF clean the tank. I commented on an earlier post that the temperature may not be high enough to burn off the soot. The doser valve is what performs that function. They should have been connected to the ECU to ensure that the temp is at the correct temp after they replaced that unit. Make sure your DEF is clear and not cloudy and free of contaminants. Run a scope to the bottom of the tank to look for settlement.
Well Jimminy Crickets, Clutch. That's just fricken unreal. And you stopped at my town, Guthrie !!!! Dang, I coulda bought you and Rusty lunch or something. Glad it's fixed again and your back on the road.
We absolutely could not believe it when this popped up! It's just unreal! Wishing really hard that this is the end of your problems with your new ride! G&L
So sorry to hear about your struggles clutch, those after treatment systems can be an absolute nightmare sometimes from what I’ve heard. I’ve never owned one and I hope I never do. Maybe if this continues you might be able to file for the lemon law thing and turn this truck back in and, one more reliable
Same thing happened to us. Both DPF filters are bad. If you have warranty it covers everything. You must fix it immediately because it can break up and damage the wom box
Clutch , you’re more patient than I am maybe that’s the Taurus in me but I would be having a face to face with Salesman Boss to make it right .. if that means a new truck ( newer ) they need to do that or cut you some break on payments for your lost $$$ loads .. Hope it all works out ..
Sad day, sorry for your troubles. I was told years ago that a guy modified the O2 Sensor somehow by connecting a wire on it and it solved his problem. Prayers for your sanity.
Since you're already at the dealership, please demand a (full) ECM report. And have them print it out for you, It'll tell you how many times this has been going on in the past, if they give you a hard time about coughing up the info, slip em a $20 bill, it'll be worth it
The reason why it's going wrong because after 500000 miles you have to replace 2 exhaust filters. If you don't replace them they'll break apart and destroy the wom box. I had exact same problem, so the second truck I bought I already knew that after 500000 miles there will be a problem so I bought a warranty and a month after it did happen, but the warranty paid for everything. Check your DPF filters
It's like your new truck got diagnosed with COVID. So sorry about the crap you're dealing with. One time I bought a used Ford Taurus and 2 weeks later I had to get the engine replaced. Told the dealer you sold me a 🍋.
Two tips. 1st - Idle a DEF truck as little as possible. Idling slow murders DEF systems. 2nd - If you do idle, then run a high idle (minimum 900 rpms) to keep the Turbo from puking oil into the aftertreatment system.
Isn't there a lemon law for big rigs? 😢So so sorry!!! Glad you aren't just taking their word without checking..rechecking Stay safe Mr Clutch and Rusty ❤️
Sure am sorry that all of these troubles are occurring Clutch. If by chance you left OKC headed for DFW and have had issues yet again, I could potentially be of help in DFW regarding a ride, etc.
Damn Clutch. I been watching and I thought the last vid you posted was going to be all ok. Honestly I would be trying to get out of that truck. I would check with a lawyer. Its not going to end well for you with this truck. I really wish I could help but legal advice I think is your best option. Im praying for you bud.
Your fault code is caused by one of the following… - Contaminated DEF - Incorrect concentration of urea in the DEF - Biased NOx sensor - Excessive DEF build-up in the exhaust - Failed 1-Box
At least they seem to have the parts now. Covid era parts were hard to get, my friend was down two weeks waiting on some sensor for a new company truck he was driving.
Very sorry for all your troubles. Trying to save is hard when you get a lemon. I had a few cars like your simi. I will never buy a used car from a dealership when they claim they inspected everything. I will buy from people. Less headaches but when something's breaks down no warranty . I'm sorry to hear that again hope that sensor was the one
Poor clutch if wasn't for bad luck you have any at all 😞 I know you are pissed and I fully understand I hope and pray you can get it straightened out you and rusty stay safe and forget Rusty's begging strips 😊
Wyoming lemon law. First, a consumer must notify the manufacturer or dealer within one year of taking delivery of the car. Once this notification occurs, the dealer or the manufacturer has a “reasonable number of attempts” to repair the defect. Wyoming law defines this as more than three attempts or else a total of 30 days where the car is out of service to fix the problem. If they still can’t fix the problem and if it “substantially impairs the use and fair market value” of your car, then you have a right to either a replacement or a refund. The manufacturer gets to choose which one.
I left you information on the i r pissed segment so follow those steps what im adding to is that there is a diesel doser valve & there is the def doser valve the deisel one makes heat if it becomes clogged it will not make the. Cattilist hot enough to cook off the soot definitely get your fuel @ loves sometimes you get a bad batch of def but anyways my point is this the freshest def fluid is @ the pump not the shelf make shure you get hot shot secret diesel extreme and do the treatment twice over to clean the deisel doser valve the other point is that there is not enough heat to keep the knock sensor or soot sensor cleaned off doing this treatment should remmedy the problem sometimes the truck needs to be reset i dont know if you have a master switch to disconnect the batteries if not the way to do it is to turn off everything in the truck unplug everything from the power points turn off the ignition switch wait for everything on the dash to shut down after this the truck should be reset the check engine light should go out if the mil light is still on wait till you get to fill the def tank and then the mil light should go out reson is bad batch of def fluid makes the mil light turn on to
Damn it D. If you didn't have bad luck with this truck you wouldn't have any luck at all. It's as if this truck was born under a bad sign. I think Rusty wants back in to CT1. Freightshaker needs to get their shit together considering they are owned by Daimler/Benz.. Stay safe.
Unfortunately, they probably knew it had all these problems. That's why they try to get rid of the truck because it kept breaking down so much and then you ended up being the sucker that bought the truck and you're the one that's ending up paying for all this stuff. I've been the sucker before too. And I've gotten taken for a ride. And that's exactly what it sounds like. It sounds like the problem persisted before you even bought the truck. They knew it had a problem and they just tried to get rid of it by selling it . I'm having the same kind of issue right now.I know your frustrated and I know you're frustrated beyond beyond control. But just hold on, hold on, it'll get better. Good luck
Warranty issues are always cheap parts shotgun targets. Soon enough somebody will tell you its not a sensor but the DEF filter that need changing. Along with the stuff you need for the filter, gaskets, maybe a hanger, yada yada.
Let Clutch Trucker's misfortune be a lesson to anyone thinking of buying an emission truck. Reliability is NON existent. Fuel milage ISN'T your first priority. Reliability IS. Can't make a dime if the damn thing won't run.
I hope they finally found the problem so you don't have any more breakdowns..Good Luck!! It has to get better. DEF System has to be almost brand new now.
Clutch you should have went to Elliots and took a chance on a older truck with the kitchen sink in it. Bet u would have made more money with one of those yeah u may have had a few problems but i bet not what your have with new one.
Too many systems to keep track of! A Doser Valve you say? So, it obviously regulates the amount of CowPiss being injected? Glad you have a scanner to double-check the Apprentice Mechanics! What more can I say my friend!
Your ability to deal with real life's challenges still takes a serious toll on your health. Companies have built trucks that have passed all the environmental tests without the def system. A private company rebuilds the main computer control board solving many of the systems control problems. I'm betting the particles Def system collects isn't safely disposed of so not convinced anything is gained sadly. At 72 I'm frustrated and I'm no longer part of the workforce that still provides me with a living standard. Take care of yourself first it's not a selfish thing it's about survival for the family. I guess my long rambling comment shows my level of frustration,HA !!! You two have a most wonderful day
Another breakdown would warrant a buyback and compensation. I would definitely be pursuing all avenues for compensation. You have lost out not only on income but reputability and potential fines from brokers. Sorry to see this happening to you
I'd be calling a lawyer, thats nuts
What can a lawyer do for you....
Most likely CT bought his used truck "As Is" with whatever the manufacturer warranty was left on it.
Wouldn't this all be covered by the Lemon Law? I don't know if Wyoming has that or how it's worded in Wyoming law.
@@326th - 🤦🏻♂️
Lemon Law is for new trucks.
The truck is not a new truck.
@jaeinnmoon3279 There has to be some way to get all the time and money recovered.
@@326th - right, recover in your next life…. Good luck with that
I applaud your persistency & mental toughness with these breakdowns. A mere mortal like myself would have had a breakdown from these breakdowns. Keep at it clutch, you’ll win in the end.
The good thing is that your truck has warranty
Yeah. Only good for not costing more money on top of lost revenue.
Basically not insult to injury.
You've had better luck with the Coronado
If the doser valve went bad your DEF may be contaminated, you may need to replace your DEF clean the tank. Could be,, if truck sat for longer before it got sold,, DEF fluid can go bad.DEF expiration shell life about one year from manufacture (google)
I got a bad feeling about this truck. You need to get out of it.Its going to Break 💔 you.Sending Love CT.
Keep hammering the dealer group..seems like social media makes big impact on companies..
It’s been helping
Well Jimminy Crickets, Clutch. That's just fricken unreal. And you stopped at my town, Guthrie !!!! Dang, I coulda bought you and Rusty lunch or something. Glad it's fixed again and your back on the road.
I am Praying for you Clutch.
Noooooooooooo!! Now we know why the truck was for sale
You should ask Freightliner for a FULL REPAIR HISTORY......they should have it by VIN number.
Can you still get the Coronado back. Have it rebuilt.
@@peterkeifer5018 Plenty of good trucks there in USA.
I still have the Coronado
Definitely understand your frustration. Hope everything gets resolved to your satisfaction.
Doser is an easy change. Hope you can get rolling as normal now, finally. God bless.
Rusty is in cahoots with Freightliner. He told the techs that every time you break down, he gets a treat.
😂
If you're losing all that money on the load, caterpillar must look pretty good right now.
Yep
We absolutely could not believe it when this popped up! It's just unreal! Wishing really hard that this is the end of your problems with your new ride! G&L
I hope so too!
Been through this myself. It's incredibly hard mentally. Praying for you!
So sorry to hear about your troubles. I pray the issue can Board identified and corrected.
I am praying for you. Please stay well. Trucking is a headache sometimes. Be positive, my friend.
Thank you, I will
Good luck Clutch, praying for you.

Sorry sir, I feel your pain. This tells me this truck sat long time that is why these sensors going out.
Was running just a few weeks before I bought it
Wish you the very best. Hopefully this will take care of you Def issues.
They have a Dartboard on the wall , Darts for Parts !
Yep
Same thing happened to us.
Both DPF filters are bad. If you have warranty it covers everything. You must fix it immediately because it can break up and damage the wom box
Hopefully they will be able to find all the issues and get you back on the road. Don’t forget to add your lost to your taxes.
The issue is about 10k to fix. Both filters must be replaced
Agree... the DPF filter replacement seems to be the right way to go. Now the warranty does not cover that.
@jaeinnmoon3279
It does cover. We bumped into this issue 1 time but the 2nd time got the warranty and it covered everything
Of course
wow! Praying for you
Long time viewer..love videos..
Lemon law? Seems like you’ve got grounds.
Hang in there..
I agree. But does the lemon law cover trucks? And does the state he purchased the truck, have a lemon law?
AFAIK lemon laws only apply to new vehicle purchases. They may also only be for noncommercial but prolly depends on locality.
That really sucks. I wish you all the best with the truck. God Bless you.
Ya, God bless him!
Sorry to hear that .

When I worked for Ryder, we called Freightliners "Freightshakers" for a reason.

I feel for you. Stay positive and do your best. I would stay after the selling dealer though to make you whole.
That's the plan!
Mine is the other way around i replace a doser valve twice the same problem and last week replaced nox sensor so far so good.

It's the dpf filters. After they run you around, they will eventually solve the problem, DPF filter.
Doser valve seems to have been the issue
Clutch, hopefully this is the correct fix.
