He saw that the muslim were in a desperate state, he took up the banner and rallied his comrades, thus saving his army from complete destruction. After the battle ibn Aqram took the banner, before telling ibn waleed to take the lead. So Khalid ibn Waleed deceived the Romans so that they can retreat and with no casualties. Ibn Waleed won because he had less casualties.

By the Mercy of Allah, I knew there was no way a man in possession of such martial ability, both personally and whilst in command of others, could humble himself to anyone other than Allah Almighty and his Messenger, Muhammad, Peace and Blessings be Upon Him. May all the non-muslims be called to the True Way, Islam. Allahuma Ameen.

Khalid Ibn Walid’s story of military campaigns are what brought me close to Islam at first. The impossibility of the battles fought and again and again breaking what we know to be possible by all knowledge of military science.

Even prophet Isa (PBUH) used the Aramaic translation of Allah, Elah. The reason islam sticks to arabic language is so that the word of god could not be corrupted again by faulty translations, as all the messages of previous prophets was.

They were all defeated one after the other, this is when the Muslims gave command to Khalid and as soon as he was given command he was successful in saving the rest of the Muslims, which was his goal. Subsequent sources say both sides stopped attacking and returned, with the Muslims suffering minimal losses.
