As much as I love Brad Wilk, one of my drumming idols, I feel so bad for Bill Ward not being there and not being mentioned at all. Such a shame.... It is a great album overall, great playing and production, no doubt about that but you just cannot talk about original lineup without Bill...
Yeah, but new Sab w/o Bill is still better than no new Sab!!! Besides, they really wanted him, but he flatly refused from what I hear.

the album doesn't sound the same without Bill. The drums aren't even prominent in comparison to the classics

Literally probably a million genres made after them hell even Soft Cell the new wave group have a synth-wave electronic cover of paranoid, you should check it out it's wicked weird and cool!
Even if Black Sabbath is one of my most favorites band ever, the most influential band in history is obviously hands down The Beatles. I really dont like them, but anyone with at least a single neuron in their brain would acknowledge they are the most influential ever.
Too bad Bill can't be a part of this , he was my inspiration to become a drummer and be on his level to be great !!! 👍
"God is Dead?", "Live Forever", and "Damaged Soul" were our favorite tracks from the listening party this week. Good to see those guys still showing youngsters how it's done.
My Dad used to fuss; "boy, stop that wam-bamming & play some REAL music!"...40 sum odd years later & I turn it up as loud as I want to!
Blak Sab roxxx! I have probably bought every album, tape, cd @ least twice over the years! Their music never wears out!
Music tapes wear out but the Sabbath on them remains timeless, never gets old and never wears out.
I love the fact that brad was all excited and like a priest in preschool. Cannot wait to hear this album. Sabbath was the first band I ever heard and I've been a fan ever since.

What pisses me off is that all the footage they showed of the band had Bill Ward missing. As though he was never a part of the band. His drumming was so unique and legendary. Kills me that he's not on this. It was 4 of them that started the band in 1968. They are ALL still alive. They should ALL be on this album.
The greatest heavy metal band of all time . PERIOD ! Music has evolved for better and worse , and there have been MANY great bands
, and all were influenced and/or owe a debt to the shit these guys laid down . Glad Ozzy got back with the guys for 13 , wish Bill Ward was there . Whether together or separate the 4 Sabbs MAY have been "equaled" , but never surpassed . THEY put the HEAVY , AND THE METAL , into RocknRoll !

That riff at the one-minute mark is... WOW! Very much as hummable as any early Sabbath song. My excitement can't even be expressed with a smile, that's how damn amazing everything sounds.
This was a very nice continuation of the studio documentary. I saw the last in- studio Black Sabbath video for the making of this album and it was awesome too..I am so excited about this "13" album. I have seen them at least 15 times in concert and have been collecting all of their albums all of my life...and all of the spin-off bands and solo projects of Sabbath members, but I am really very excited about this!!! Awesome!!!

Bill didn’t come back because he was only in it for the money. Ozzy, Tony, and Geezer are in it to play.
cassady41 I think Bill is great and best Sabbath drummer but he can no longer do what Brad Wilk can do. Sadly Tommy Clufetos can not do what Bill or Brad can but for some reason he ended up on The End tour.
Better hurry up and do it as he's got a lot of problems and Tony can't leave England going to be hard to do

As a kid i always listened to them after midnight! Lol! After my parents where in bed,.I'd smoke sum bud,headphones on, in the dark. What a fuckin eerire vibe. Scary yet so Addicting. Those were the days.Been hooked ever since.......

For whatever reason it didnt work out for Bill and Sabbath, it is very sad, but IMHO I would rather see them record and perform again, with a drummer they are happy with, than not bother at all. I can't wait, personally...

It's true they managed to do a lot of great material (especially with Dio) after the Ozzy years but for me the TRUE Sabbath will always be the original line up. That's the line-up with the most chemistry (musically) & that's the one where they really got their reputation. Especially the 1st six albums. I can listen to every one of those albums back to back & not feel inclined to skip a single song.

Black Sabbath… wow, when they first released albums we were afraid to play them after mid-night because we thought they were real deal satan-ists and it would conjure an evil spirit!
Sounds about right for a back to the future fan.

Love the sound Tony & Geezer make together. Rubin has produced some of my favourite albums over the past 20 years. Ozzy sounds good. The track released on iTunes is classically doomy. I have high hopes for the album!
