The Indigo Girls are the pride of Decatur, GA. I live in neighboring Atlanta. Their lyrics, their harmonizing, their being out in the 80's just add to their lovability. Wishing you happy holidays!

That's so cool that you picked up that copy of Patti Smith's "Horses" from the Voice of America collection. And she's an excellent choice as the answer to that particular question.

Katie, good response for this tag. I saw the Indigo Girls once, what a great concert. You highlighted some really good channels, especially Janes Buttery. Thanks, Chris

New to your channel. Automatically subbed on your first question when you showed Split Enz! Great find. Just love that band! The InGroove is my favorite record store. I go there all the time! The Blue Jodi Mitchell Test pressing is amazing! Great video! I chose The Beatles too in my vinyltag!

Nicely done! I concur with that release of The Indigo Girls. That's one of those records that came at the right time in my life. When people talk about solid records where every song is solid, this release always comes to mind.

Saturday Night Fever is a great answer for genre defining album. The Carpenters were from Downey California. I lived in the LA suburb, Downey, for years. I used to see Richard Carpenter in Middle Earth Records. Horses is one of the most important albums in the development of my musical taste. Maybe only behind Meet The Beatles.

If you're looking for more women to follow, you may really enjoy Abigail Devoe's Vinyl Monday series! She goes in depth and just seems like the sweetest person.

    I enjoyed your list.
    I, too, miss Karen Carpenter.
.....and I despise Ted Nugent's vulgarity.
