I was having a TON of issues with my balls lately, so I spent 8 hours completely resurfacing 4 balls by hand from 500 grit on up and compound and/or polish where needed. Perfect Mindset, Theorem, Rhino, and Venom Black. WOW! Was that an improvement! Went from 90-140s to 180-200s. Needless to say that I am very happy with my balls now! Great video, Val! I am loving the Mesmerize.
Great comparison! There has been a lot of discussion about HK22 being put on everything. This comparison seems to show that not all HK22 covers are the same. The numbers on these balls are very similar. With them all having the same layout, the cover is the biggest differentiating factor.
I have the Hammer Offset 3D Attack with the HK22, and it's not nearly as strong as I expected given its numbers. It performs more like a sym than an asym. However, I do like it and it's become my benchmark ball.

Thanks for the insight Val! I have the Radical and was on the fence with both New Brunswick balls. I believe now that I will go with the Vaporize and move right with the Conspiracy to start the fall season. 😊

Came back to this video to rewatch the comparison to the Mesmerize and 3.0. Took the latter out for practice. Hit it with surface, and sure enough, the Widow is definitely the ball I need out of the bag first. All it needed was me to break the surface. Such a small thing, but such a huge change in ball motion. I'm kicking myself for not playing with surface for all this time since I've been back bowling league these past three years.

Love this! It is so good to see the difference between the balls going down lane. you can really see where they start to pick up and go. The Mesmerize does seem a lot slower than the Widow, but also a lot more smooth. For another comparison it would be great if you could go to the budget end of the spectrum. How does the new Messenger Power Core stack to to the Cuda?

I moved to 14 lb. I really like the way the Mesmerize looks, but I'm uncertain for my game if the rg is higher than I'd want for my big solid assym (rg 2.533 by the way; I know alot of people out for something about 2.48 or so out of this type of ball)

@@bowlwithVALue My biggest ball is still a pearl (Emerge). I'm still interested in the Mesmerize, but I may seek out a lower rg matte solid assym if I have an intention of bowling some tournaments. On house, I generally don't need anything bigger than a higher diff symmetrical or a mid-level assym
I know this is a ball comparison for house bowlers, But i personally never believe big solid Asyms are good on the house shot, They burn up and leaves a lot of flat 10s! and even pocket 8-10s.

Another good one. A suggestion for a future comp, Effect v Wicked Collision. Their similar in numbers, similar hk but different cores.

They work for me. Everyone is different. Symmetricals and pearls leave splits constantly for me on our house shot.
That makes sense!! some house patterns are higher volume, so the mesmerize would be perfect, especially for the first game or so.
