This is my absolute most favorite truck and will get one once I go O/O!! Only thing I will do is build a shower/toilet in the bunk area. I HATE truck stop showers!
Nice tractor love the black cherry when you do these you should take your time on learning how to properly work things and open n close cabinets n droors but nice truck
Last KW I dove was a 1980s 600 with a 3406 Cat, 13 speed, and a VIT double bunk. Drove from Vermont to Los Angeles and back a few times. I'd love to drive a 900 but only if it has one of the older engines like the a big cam 400 Cummins or better yet.... a 625hp Cat.
What a beautiful truck. Would love to drive one again but the future is here. You lease a truck & then you get rid of it when the warranty is not there. Good truck for a young road warrior, but I would be scared to park this rig at most places with the donuts driving these days. No one looks at my pos truck, but with all the money I got for other things? I can live with that.
What is the cost savings of buying a glider ? I looked at a new W9 and with the options I wanted, I ended up at $190,000 and that was with a generator What is the cost of the same truck and full options with a glider cat motor ?
You are looking at $220,000+. It's 2021 now. You can't build gliders after December this year. Hope you got one, twi years after your original comment.
thanks a tricky question. with gliders, you have less downtime because of the emissions problems. crazy there are still so many problems but there are many many other benefits to having a glider. too bad glider builders are now outlawed.
How much longer do you believe we will be able to get this kind of Kenworth gliders? I love paccar in general but especially Kenworth. I have thought about a CAT 3408E. Or 3406e or m doesnt matter.
@@TheAdventureState thanks so if i get a glider i do not have to deal with that DEF crap and regine shit i have spent more time in the shop since that crap came out and i do not care what brand of truck it is that is a darn headache thats what has kept me from purchasing a truck thank you
@@martingreen5613 I ordered a 2019 peterbilt 389 long hood, 78" raised roof, Cat c15, 2ws rated at 550 hp and 1850 torque. 18 speed, 3'36 rears on 24.5 low profile tires. Disk brakes all around. Total came out at $181k and it will be ready by the end of march. I placed my order on April 7th, 2018 from THOMSON CAT. That's 1 year wait for me but in a long run, well worth it.
sorry for the delay. we arent selling these. these are company trucks, but it's Cody Keys Trucking, LLC out of Terre Haute, Indiana. I've done some more (and much better LOL) videos on my channel if you want to check them out
Cody Keys Trucking has I think 40 trucks, all long noses including W9's, Peterbuilt 389's a handful and Western Stars and a few others. He has a number of different engines, but this truck was the 3406E
Nice to see somebody NOT converting their fleet to automatics! I hate the autos, but it seems that's the way most companies are going these days. And in the debate over the old vs new/emissions engines, in addition to being more reliable and cheaper/faster to repair, aren't the older non-emissions motors more fuel efficient as well? BTW, super nice truck!!
thanks. and it wasnt the phone. when i did this video, i did it on facebook live, then downloaded the live file. i'm actually working with Cody Keys Trucking to probably do a whole bunch of these type of videos this year, but much better quality and less boring.
A GREAT MOTOR AND VERY VERY RARE INDEED...GLAD I GOT ME ONE IF YOU ARE LUCKY TO GET THIS ENGINE YOU REALLY WOULD NOT WANT ANY OTHER .LONG LIVE THE LAST 3406 E
I wouldn't let you drive my lawn mower. You bent the closet door opening it, you slammed the steering wheel down and you closed the drivers door to hard.
Simplemente perfecto...hablamos de un señor Kenworth.. y solo el nombre merece respeto
Huh?
Beautiful truck, I could die a happy man if I owned that one.
I me too
heck yeah! one of my favorites!
Kenworth W9... A Real man's truck. Nothing else will do!
BINGO!
I love that truck man! I love the old school styling on the outside combined with a very modern looking interior. Gotta get me a W9 man!!
one of my favorites!
Sweet rig Chris. Love the color and the make. Kenworth lover here🤗🤗

The Torque alone would pull your teeth out .!!
well, i see that i'm late to comment and i'm sure you already know this lol but i think 2019 was the last year they were permitted to be built
