  • Hey! We've got some Truth Burgers for ya! Want some?!
The last few years Hollywood has prided itself on pretending to be advocates for diversity and representation. However, if you look past the phony facade you'll find that their attempts at accurate representation are insincere. Just take a look at how many black men are portrayed on the big and small screen. How many times have we seen the stereotypical role of the goofy sidekick character? Whatever happened to black masculinity? Characters like Blade, Apollo Creed, or Jules Winnfield? This video will explore how Hollywood promotes false diversity & representation via stereotypes. And how past movies and shows, while they didn't always do it better, managed to create more intriguing black male characters than the many stereotypes we see today. So grab yourself a Truth Burger and come join us!

You guys are awesome! Thank you for covering this topic. As a black man, I'm sick and tired of seeing the emasculation of not only black men, but men, period! But, yeah, the stereotypical role for black men in today's Hollywood is sickening to say the least.

Even worse for my Asian brethren. All we got is Bruce Lee. Most depictions are of effeminate, submissive little Asian boys. It's all by design, so as an aspiring Artist, do not degrade yourself by seeking the validation of any entity that is trying to secretly humiliate your people.

I’m half white and half hispanic. I’m brown enough to where people recognize I’m Hispanic but I’ve never felt like I had to be “represented” in terms of race in movies and games. If there’s representation I really want, it’s masculine men, which is a crime nowadays. It seems to impact white characters a lot more but it’s happening more and more to black men too smh.

“If there’s anything Black Actors should be angry about - it’s not the lack of representation, It’s the lack of Accurate Representation.”
    - That sums it up very well!
Thank you for making this video.
You thinking enough about this greatly needed subject to put it out there is very much appreciated. 😊

We need a real Black Hollywood. We have the star power and spending power. We can present all images of our community. Not just the agenda of Hollywood.

It really was. For once in a long while, I got to see a man be unapologically a man with no agenda. I wish this for men of all ethnicities and races.

no it's not. It's uncle remus with a gun. He only saves caucasoids and only kills other males. He's a tool for the caucazoid feminist. You have to read between the lines.

Hijack on Apple TV was a let down because Idris character stumbled into coming out on top.
Meanwhile there were several white saviors throughout the season. Big letdown.
He also was the “hero” but didn’t end up with the girl. White men get it all

I liked the Woman King. I don't like them taking existing characters and making them black or female. I would rather see original stuff.
