The painting is beautiful, but I thought we were going to learn more about painting the flowers in the foreground. It went from stick-like grass to suddenly leaves and detailed daisies! Where did the leaves come from?! How do we paint those?! I feel like that's such a crucial thing to just skip. I wish I could have learned that in this video because your technique is lovely.
Kevin! You've taken up the torch, and pushed the envelope even further! Thank you for both teaching and *showing* your processes and techniques. I grew up with Bob Ross; without a clue that I'd pursue art any more than drawing comics. Now I sit here with a sizable oil collection, with a few pieces I can be proud of. Funny how things progress. Anyhow, you are quite simply the modern master of oils teaching -at least to me. After watching your videos, I took a few Community College painting classes... I learned so much from watching you that there wasn't much I gained from the classes! Thank you, thank you, and again, thank you. Keep being passionate, and I hope you never stop teaching. You are a natural, and I can only imagine how many interested souls you've helped progress through the wide and varied world of art.
Very lovely Kevin. Beautiful details in flowers without looking over done. The soft blur of the background does draw ones eye to focus on the foreground. Your tips on painting are great. Thank you so much.
I am always impressed by how some people are capable of painting what they want on their first try. I have to make so many layers of paint before actually reaching the result I want (or kind of)...
As a first time painter / artist I really enjoyed watching you paint and the piece is gorgeous. As a tutorial for a first timer I wouldn't be able to follow through, however; I understand that you are also a man who needs provision, as we all do. I'm sure your materials for purchase (tutorials) are very detailed and informative. I pray your business is blessed. :)
Wow! I love the composition! That fencepost on the right is so nice with little color variations. The flowers are very relaxing with the view of the distant mountains.
Kevin you rock! I LOVE your teaching style! With being an "outside artist" who is currently selling her work I can use all the detailed lessons I can get. Thank you! Blessings...
After seeing bottom of the painting is darker like dark green-grayish it make completly sense. I was struggling how to break through with flower on the field. So it is the way. Bottom of the painting is dark so grass and flower need to be light the contrast make it look more realistic. I was practicing this but my field is light peach color and flowers yellow. It looks lovely. Thank u for sharing ur skills
This image has an insane depth because the foreground is extremely detailed with flowers and grass and the background shows mountains which lie in the far distance. You have done very well. I've looked at the picture several times.
All artists have in common the experience of the unfathomable distance that exists between the work of their hands, however successful, and the blazing perfection of the beauty perceived in the fervor of the creative moment: what they manage of artists such as Paul Gauguin, Guillermo Jiménez Sáen, Gabino amaya cacho, Edna Andrade, Paul Cézanne, Sérvulo Gutiérrez, Alvaro Suárez Vértiz among others to express in what they paint, sculpt or create is only a faint reflection.
I don't believe Kevin used liquid white. It appears that it's dry canvas. If he was using liquid white, there would be a lot more blending occurring. That being said, I don't think he ever uses it. If he does use a medium, it's generally a clear medium.
very well described! I've tried so many of UA-cam tutorial to painting but never came out this fine! It would have been better if there was description about the grass too though😅
Hes skipping over so many parts that alot of us wanted to see! I appreciate a painting tutorial done from start all the way to finish 💛 I LOVE this painting!!! However though he went from painting the trees to painting the flowers with all the in between steps cut out...and I NEEDED those steps 😭 Im new to art so I wanted to learn how to do the field and the grass ect ...but he completely skipped over all of that...and that was so important to lay the scene for the flowers! And then he skipped over doing the majority of the flowers 🤦🏽♀️ I hope he does this painting again and puts every single step in the video for us to learn from! Because i would love to do this painting!
Bjr les jrs passe et grâce plaisir à voyager ou m'évader un peu avec vos peinture je kif vraiment vos toiles et la rapidité avec lequel vous les réalisez, Whoua, dommage je ne comprends pas vos discours je parle français
I like how in every painting he shows not very useful details but he doesnt show the details of the related title video and keeps cutting the useful stuff
Yes, many of the same techniques can be used in acrylic. However, because of the difference in drying time, some of the techniques will have to be adjusted. But a nice effect can be achieved in both mediums.

Wow that was quite a jump from doing the background trees to starting on the fence!

Kind of useless for me as I wanted to see how to paint the grass.
Me too. I wanted to see how to paint the grass and the flowers.
same...
It's as if God is creating nature all over again through your hands, keep up the great work!
This was frustrating for us because we followed you all along, and then BAM you were at fence posts...more detail please on the grass.
Seriously....

I love your work
I like how the detail comes to the front and soft in the distance. I am working to acheive that in my paintings.
Kevin super .......i like ur every paintings
It would have been great to see how you went from the trees to the fence and the grass magically appearing :\
your voice is so soothing imma need a nap now
Kevin I love the fact that you stretch in your mountains, they look more real. do you still use the knife with mountain making?
Hello Kevin,
in one word Perfect!!!
One question? Do you used a liquid white ore something like That on your canvas.
Gr, Danny
From THE Netherlands
I don't believe Kevin used liquid white. It appears that it's dry canvas. If he was using liquid white, there would be a lot more blending occurring. That being said, I don't think he ever uses it. If he does use a medium, it's generally a clear medium.
Danny Buchmeyer he use a clear gel medium mixed with titanium white about 60-40 mix more white them gel
very well described! I've tried so many of UA-cam tutorial to painting but never came out this fine! It would have been better if there was description about the grass too though😅
