I'm an early adopter and have been using it since it was first released. I use it professionally and gig several days a week with it and the Beatbuddy. It's an awesome combination that allows me to be a one man band. There's nothing out there that even comes close. I've upgraded both of mine to the gold edition for the silent switches, big difference! Good video, thanks.

I have had the Aeros, with Beat Buddy and Midi Mastro for more than a year. I moved away from the Aeros because the inputs I found were limiting. I was never able to get the Mic input levels right, the mic audio level is always quieter on the output side... After seeing what you had done with RC505, I purchased a Boss RC-505 MK2 and set it up with Nektar thanks to the help from your course on RC505 (worth every penny). Boss has a superior audio mixer, and that's why I put the Aeros away. In addition, I also find Aeros was glitchy at times and decided that it is not a pro equipment for live situations, glitches were brutal. I can't remember what the glitches were at this very point, I do remember it needed restarts to get it back to doing what it was supposed to do. All my firmware is up to date, perhaps those glitches have mostly gone away now with the later FW updates... Perhaps it was the combination of Beat Buddy and the Midi Mastro that was creating problems... Also dropped BB after getting the RC505 and midi sync it with an MPC Live and works well with RC-505. I haven't configured it fully to do everything I want it to do, but the RC 505 is so customizable you can set it up in any way you can imagine. Hence a true Pro Gear. Your issues with the midi Synced Ableton Live are different though and must be annoying, I wonder why you have glitches on the midi clock, but no glitches for me so far with it Sync to MPC live via USB, RC505 being the Master. Recently I also acquired the Quad Cortex, which works perfectly as an audio mixer/router, and more... I wonder if I should take the Aeros back out use it with QC cortex, and give it another chance. I am reluctant but I am willing to try figuring it out. Just want reliable pro stuff, looping is complicated enough without glitches. Do you suffer any volume loss or mixing issues? I am so excited you got your hands on this. I look forward to seeing what kind of pointers I can extract from your videos to help me in my looping endeavors. Keep up the stellar work! I am following your channel since I think it is the pinnacle of youtube looping lessons and setups.
I had the same problem but the solution is buy more gear,!? Not what I wanted to do but I had the gear already, I just wanted it to be portable w/o having to haul my whole studio with me. The problems stem from the midi maestro, that I could never get working right or ability to recognize my HX stomp only thing I could do is sync the tempo,and it suffered from going out of sync after recording next part, but I'm pretty sure that was user error, I believe I found a midi clock step made by JMK Audio that syncs everything perfectly, in videos anyways it only a hundo for it, worth a try I'm not giving up so easily!

So, between Boss RC- 600 and Aeros Loop Studio wich would you recommend? it would be for multiple instruments such as flute, guitar, harp and vocals... maybe more ... Got the Aeros a year ago and love the full color wave form and visual confirmation of the begin/end and subdivision of the loop, but it took an external Midi controller for it to comfortably compare or replace the Boomerang III I have been using for years. I've set mine up in 2x2 freestyle (no click or predetermined BPM) so I can freely play an initial loop to create the tempo and the template of the song, then stack on that loop or record another one with a length made of multiples of track1. Another button allows that initial rhythm track to be "locked" copying it over to the next page of loops (think verse/chorus) to keep everything in sync and not have to record two rhythm tracks. Besides Record/Play/Overdub buttons for each of the tracks, I've added individual mutes for each channel to strip down a stack of sounds for a bridge or transition. Instead of the default Stop at end of loop, I've added an "Oh shit, Stop Immediately" as well as a quick, silent, undo/redo button. The last Midi programmed button stacks the "Play All" with "Unmute All" to quickly transition from the aforementioned bridge back to a full chorus. Looking forward to the new musical possibilities I now have have completely hands free at my disposal, while maintaining separate stereo chains so my magnetic guitar signal is within the Kemper to change up electric sounds, while keeping the Piezo/octave bass/Midi Pads in their own channel to the FOH board. ☮❤🎶

Wanna play a guitar loop freely so its lenght is determined solely on when i click the button and from there impose that tempo onto drum machines or other time based device. From what i understood this is possible? Was that not possible on the Boomerang? Cheers
Actually, that is EXACTLY how the Boomerang III works. It has been my looper of choice for the last 5 or 6 years. The settings I use on the Aeros are to make it as similar as possible. I do appreciate the graphic screen on the Aeros as opposed to simply a pulsating light for when the loop is changing over, but otherwise they are very comparable. @@marcinwieczorek485
What midi controller did you get because I've had nothing but problems with the midi maestro as the master midi controller. Trying to run HX Stomp as guitar FX, but found I could use my Helix rack foot controller as midi controller instead of the maestro and its easier to program that's for sure!
I got the Midi Captain from Paint Audio. In some ways it's kinda crude as it doesn't use a computer or phone app to set up, just a small color screen... but the big plusses are assignable color LED rings around each switch (great for dark stages and keeping straight what the functions are). Also you can stack commands on the same button. I stacked "unmute" on my "Stop All" button so if I mute one track for a bridge, I can stop all then start all for a chorus and that track won't still be muted. @@fabianvasquezjr8852 ☮❤🎶

In some ways it's crude as it's programmed by the small display instead of an app... but the plusses are programmable colored LED rings around the buttons (easy to identify function on dark stage) and you can stack multiple commands per button. I have "unmute" stacked on my "stop all" for certain songs where I mute a track for a bridge... then stop all for held vocal note... then start all for chorus and I don't have to separately remember to unmute anything. ☮❤🎶

Hey there, the 1/4" TRS Stereo Aux OUT found on the Aeros Loop Studio can be used with headphones, yes! Just make sure you have the Loop Blayback Routing set to Aux Out and the Main Input Routing set to Aux Out in the Routing settings.
The Aeros has its own Auto-Quantize song gride mode, where you can record your first track, and the BPM will be automatically set based on the length of the recording!

I got mine at the same time that came out with the "gold" version I was livid to say the least! But it's got the same processor and function only difference is silent foot switches and color I got over it I don't do to many acoustic gigs so it didn't bother me while no one in my audience gives a crap if they hear a foot switch now and then and it's no big deal!
Only thing new on the Aeros is gold, silent foot switches. That’s it. Same firmware on the original and new “Gold” version. It’s a great looper and very different from everything else. Yes, there is a learning curve and the Midi Maestro is really a necessity to get the most out of it. The latest firmware vastly improves the performance with more updates to come. Finally, the sound quality is amazing. Keep in mind: 1. Cannot pan the stereo tracks L or R. 2. It’s a bit slow loading songs. 3. Still missing some key midi command.
Thank you for that. I have the original and was wondering if the firmware was different. It'd be upsetting to have one of the originals and be missing out on features. The silent knobs are nice but I don't think I absolutely need to upgrade.

Hey there, yep! you can easily mute a specific track using the slide out menu while a song in playing. Just hold down the bottom left button, then scroll down to mute track. You can also fade to mute.
In a live looping performance situation, I just don’t get this “part” logic. So you spend time building up your song, then you switch “parts” and everything stops, is blank. That just disrupts all your momentum for the audience, then you have to build that one up from scratch. I see you can lock a track so something remains, but that’s getting too complicated at that point. I can’t see using Parts live.

But, I’ve always enjoyed your videos. In fact I just bought the Aeros Loop Studio and the Midi Maestro mostly on your recommendation. I have a lot of respect for your opinion when it comes to looping. Your experience looping from such an early age makes you a valuable resource. Thank you for what you contribute to the looping community.
The Aeros looks good, but zero XLR mic inputs? For the price, it doesn’t make sense at the price point that one can’t input a good mic, and provide phantom power without having an external mixer. C’mon Aeros people. Face it, Ben, for all the faults of the 505’s, the UI of both the mk1 and mk2 in performance in still the best.
I got a headrush looperboard at over $900, because of your videos and at the time I needed a all in one looper pedal but I could never get it to do what I wanted it to do! And glitchy as Hell! Tryed to love it but it's unsupported, very little updates and just bad design, sold it for 1/3 of what I paid for it and got the loop studio, not as many inputs but I have a entire studio to be able to have everything hooked up that I'm gonna use in my loops at the ready. Sure it has its problems but singular sound has great support even talked directly to the CEO, Owner Dave Pacowitz in a Sunday when their support staff was off for the weekend! Now that's support that the headrush couldn't touch. I'm now not that great at making loops but it certainly is a whole lot easier to do on the loop studio and the playback is great sounding in true stereo w/o taking up 2 tracks to do it in and with 6 stereo tracks to boot!
Wireless products (and especially wireless routers) are a bad idea for numerous health reasons, however this small looper is still an interesting concept to have multiple loops withing each loop, but I'd rather have an 8-channel "8x1" looper with 8 single channels, than a "6x6" channel looper with 6 tracks on each of the 6 loops. (for people who don't want to change sections (+lose access to all previously recorded material) this unit U just reviewed is still basically a 6 channel looper. Someone please produce an 8 channel looper that can be controlled (+overlapped, tweaked, +played) at the same time rather than 36 channels that cannot all be played at once..

It's Singular Sound, not Singularity Sound. And it's the Aeros Loop Studio, not the Arios Loop Studio. These repeated errors distract from an otherwise decent video. It's not much harder to get the names right than it is to get them wrong.
The Boss RC 500 is Full of bugs. I am returning mine. Just got it a week ago. Yes it has the latest firmware. Setting changes keep changing back to the factory default settings. I was not expecting this from Boss. Many others are having the same issues. Just one example....I set Track 1 to come out of "A" and after a while it changes to ALL "A&B". Buyer be ware. I have been using a Boss Jam Man for 10 years. It has never had any problem. The drums are horrible and just wanted to upgrade to a looper with better drums. I only use a looper for a practice tool. I just have no need to use it in a live situation. I do not understand what happened to BOSS as I have had a lot of their gear with no issues. The RC 500 is a disaster. I am still looking to replace the Jam Man. Just something simple that works with better drums to learn from.
I too tried the RC500. It just had too many glitches which led me to try something else. For 2 years now I've been using the boomerang 3 for live performance, the workflow is so co much better and it integrates with drum machines via midi perfectly. Many use the beatbuddy, I use the alesis SR-16. It provides me with everything I need, after 300 performances it has never glitched or let me down in any situation.
I had the SR-16 for like 20 years. I did change out the volume pot. was easy as I mess around with electronics. Fantastic drum machine. I gave it to my wifes son and got a Boss DR-880. I love it. I ended up getting the RC-10R looper. Works for my needs. I just make rythm loops to practice soloing over in the studio.
Ethics much? No? Some people would sell out their best friend for some free gear and not care how many people they mislead with some poorly done presentations. Show us all you doing a gig with this looper. Shouldn't be a problem since you love it so much over those ever so problematic other pedals from brand x....Yeah right Ben!

Once tuned in to mic woofing it’s impossible to grasp the words due to distraction. The mind wanders to, if this guy can’t relate to what is and what isn’t annoying audibly how can they talk about making music. Stuff like that.

Absolutely! Just make sure the song is saved to your SD card then you can download the song to your DAW by plugging your SD card into your computer.

It's a compact looper pedal with 4 audio inputs. Don't understand your criticism about not having enough inputs...
Not a problem with count, but you can't connect a mic without a pre-amp or outboard mixer.

I have a lot of respect for your opinion when it comes to looping. Your experience looping from such an early age makes you a valuable resource. Given boss gear so many chances but I just can’t deal with their nightmare menu diving style of UI. Aeros is intuitive and logical

The Aeros looks good, but zero XLR mic inputs? For the price, it doesn’t make sense at the price point that one can’t input a good mic, and provide phantom power without having an external mixer. C’mon Aeros people.
Face it, Ben, for all the faults of the 505’s, the UI of both the mk1 and mk2 in performance in still the best.

I got a headrush looperboard at over $900, because of your videos and at the time I needed a all in one looper pedal but I could never get it to do what I wanted it to do! And glitchy as Hell! Tryed to love it but it's unsupported, very little updates and just bad design, sold it for 1/3 of what I paid for it and got the loop studio, not as many inputs but I have a entire studio to be able to have everything hooked up that I'm gonna use in my loops at the ready. Sure it has its problems but singular sound has great support even talked directly to the CEO, Owner Dave Pacowitz in a Sunday when their support staff was off for the weekend! Now that's support that the headrush couldn't touch. I'm now not that great at making loops but it certainly is a whole lot easier to do on the loop studio and the playback is great sounding in true stereo w/o taking up 2 tracks to do it in and with 6 stereo tracks to boot!
Wireless products (and especially wireless routers) are a bad idea for numerous health reasons, however this small looper is still an interesting concept to have multiple loops withing each loop, but I'd rather have an 8-channel "8x1" looper with 8 single channels, than a "6x6" channel looper with 6 tracks on each of the 6 loops. (for people who don't want to change sections (+lose access to all previously recorded material) this unit U just reviewed is still basically a 6 channel looper. Someone please produce an 8 channel looper that can be controlled (+overlapped, tweaked, +played) at the same time rather than 36 channels that cannot all be played at once..
there is absolutely no health issues with wireless.

not so long ago you was raving about the rc 500 now you are say the opposite about them crashing , now you are raving about the aeros and trashing rc , maybe cause you getting for free , not a unbias review you think

It's Singular Sound, not Singularity Sound. And it's the Aeros Loop Studio, not the Arios Loop Studio. These repeated errors distract from an otherwise decent video. It's not much harder to get the names right than it is to get them wrong.

The Boss RC 500 is Full of bugs. I am returning mine. Just got it a week ago. Yes it has the latest firmware. Setting changes keep changing back to the factory default settings. I was not expecting this from Boss. Many others are having the same issues. Just one example....I set Track 1 to come out of "A" and after a while it changes to ALL "A&B". Buyer be ware. I have been using a Boss Jam Man for 10 years. It has never had any problem. The drums are horrible and just wanted to upgrade to a looper with better drums. I only use a looper for a practice tool. I just have no need to use it in a live situation. I do not understand what happened to BOSS as I have had a lot of their gear with no issues. The RC 500 is a disaster. I am still looking to replace the Jam Man. Just something simple that works with better drums to learn from.
I too tried the RC500. It just had too many glitches which led me to try something else. For 2 years now I've been using the boomerang 3 for live performance, the workflow is so co much better and it integrates with drum machines via midi perfectly. Many use the beatbuddy, I use the alesis SR-16. It provides me with everything I need, after 300 performances it has never glitched or let me down in any situation.
I had the SR-16 for like 20 years. I did change out the volume pot. was easy as I mess around with electronics. Fantastic drum machine. I gave it to my wifes son and got a Boss DR-880. I love it. I ended up getting the RC-10R looper. Works for my needs. I just make rythm loops to practice soloing over in the studio.
Ethics much? No? Some people would sell out their best friend for some free gear and not care how many people they mislead with some poorly done presentations. Show us all you doing a gig with this looper. Shouldn't be a problem since you love it so much over those ever so problematic other pedals from brand x....Yeah right Ben!
Boss Rc 600 buttons are awful. After 6months of use some don't work right and this is crucial for a LOOPER just saying BOSS....
So probably over $1000 with the midi foot switch. No thank you. Good pitch though

NOW & in the future come to realize that some of us Musicians DESIRE to REMAIN being just that‼️🤨..NOT focusing so much on TECH but MUSICIANSHIP‼️These things are convenient but the time it takes to use it,..you could have simply recorded in a / your studio by just playing an Instrument!! You might as well use your D.A.W Studio & like software !! Geez!! f-_-!) Once tuned in to mic woofing it’s impossible to grasp the words due to distraction. The mind wanders to, if this guy can’t relate to what is and what isn’t annoying audibly how can they talk about making music. Stuff like that.
