I used to visit Knowle regularly when I was a teenager. This is a beautiful presentation of the house (though Knowle is just ‘Knowle’, never having the title of house or palace, etc.,). While I was watching it all came back to me (I am now 78). Unfortunately, the video, although gorgeous, is not able to catch the amazing atmosphere of the place. It seems to me that it has been refurbished since I saw it. Thank heavens for UA-cam, and thank you for posting this video. It makes me happy……
Thank you for sharing, what a grand and beautiful home , steeped in incredible history. I felt like i was actually there, taking in the whole experience.
You are an amazing video artist ….the music was perfect to accompany this gorgeous sumptuous palace and piece of history……thank you for taking us along …..
The tourists can have the show rooms. I'd want to spend a month in the unused attic and cellar rooms studying and repairing them. Walls do talk and I love listening to them.
The sheer volume of fantastic pieces and architectural ornament is impressive, but it's important to remember they were accumulated over centuries. So many beautiful old houses (and their collections) have been damaged or destroyed by fire; we are fortunate to be able to see them still. In the days before photography, only the wealthy could afford portraits. They are an amazing record of those who lived before us. Thank you for the excellent tour.
Superb slide show! What gorgeous views. I had to stop it frequently to enjoy a longer look at many of the photos - those 3 elaborate brick chimneys (?), the gargoyle on a bannister, the lovely deer and the sad little tree with protective wiring around it, the majestic portrait galleries - just so much to look at! How did I not see this before?
This video is brilliant. For someone who is disabled, as I am, and unable to travel anymore it is as if I was actually at the property. Has this video maker filmed any more that I could watch?
I think you will have to search for National Trust and then find individual properties. Derek Boyes is a film-maker and probably did this as a piece of commercial work (whereas his other work is more his own creations). It is beautifully done isn't it - when you visit you often can't get so close or see the level of detail. I like Memory Seekers on YT - they visit so many interesting places - I found them by chance.
Amazing place but just a bit overpowering - I think I see why Sackville-West lived in the Tower. Congratulations on keeping the place going and the superb video.
Went here in 1976 & 1977. Beautiful, just as I remembered.
What a stunning piece of filming. A captivating glimpse into a sumptuous World of artistry and history. Thanks you for sharing this beautiful home.
Stunning film ❤
Thanku for a fine video of Knole’s showrooms. I’ve travelled 12000 plus miles more than once & now - finally - I’ve seen inside! Beautiful! 😊
How beautifully filmed and presented , and of an incredible place.
Very many thanks, that was fantastic!
I love this piece of music. It fits perfet for the house.

Just an incredible display of riches, a true treasure for the public to see.

It is a vast treasure house. Have only been once - must go again.
A bit dark for my taste but very interesting with history galore. Kudos to the film-maker, beautifully done!
