Hastings | Vancouver's Very Own Skid Row

- Strolling around Downtown Vancouver, exploring. I decided to check out Chinatown. From there I found myself on Hastings. Vancouver's least popular tourist attraction. A slum if there ever was one.
I'm from Portland, Oregon USA but have been living in France for 15 years. Every time I go back to the Pacific Northwest the homelessness and drug problem just gets worse and worse. Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, and SF are all, sadly, bad. The whole area is beautiful. Just hang out in our forests and mountains next time. :)

If I knew where I was I probably would have turned back. But I was there with my camera so thought might as well keep it going. I haven't been to Philadelphia yet but heard parts are very rough. All these places are even worse now since the pandemic I believe. Cheers Levina 👍

@@levinawalsh2015 I just looked it up there. Wow. Hopefully we'll never see anything like that back home. I don't think we will. I thought it was just drug addiction but seems mental illness is the real issue which leads to the drugs in most cases. It is so sad
Think a lot of the shops in Chinatown are already out of business. 😢

vancouver is skid row, go see the real BC
I was short on time so couldn't see much. Will definitely get back out there and see what BC has to offer
