- In this week's video, I'm breaking down the different types of NATURAL LIGHT in landscape photography, and how to use them to your advantage. I will focus on the 5 types of natural light you need to understand to master to make your photography stand out - of course, accompanied by lots of examples. It's super important to know the different types of light in order to use them to your advantage and to help you plan a location. I will go through side light, backlight (my favorite!), front light, diffused light and top light (broad daylight). I guarantee you, there's a technique for any type of light, and once you master them, you will be able to make banger shots in any given light or weather situation.

This is helpful info Christian-- I have issues when trying to video myself outdoors- it is tricky for sure !
Thanks bro! When filming outside, you definitely don't want to be in direct sunlight. Try to find a shady spot and make sure that your background is never brighter than your face. Bringing a small ringlight or some other portable light source, will help a long way! The cheaper the camera, the worse it will handle very bright scenarios outside , in the middle of the day...
