I get excited and then depressed every time I see you post a video. I love to watch these but the fact that these exist mean that something happened that you had to go out to.
I do not understand why cars were not passing the Engine especially when it was travelling in the center lane. Are drivers more curious there compared to my area?
B. Mills Oh great.. So on top of tending to whatever injuries (if any) you had to treat him for the medical emergency that parked him there in the first place.
Credz 4 the upload, but the use of sirens in the US is fucking ridiculous. What's the point of using sirens when traveling on the highway, with no cars ahead? Don't wanna seem rude, but it reminds me of this typical American way of doing things. Take as much place as possible, just because you can. As a Norwegian, we only use sirens when it's purposely at it's place.
In a lot of states, when we aren't using our lights & siren we are required to follow ALL of the normal traffic laws. However each state has different set of laws regulating emergency vehicle use. We do perform a lot of responses (code 1\2) where we will follow traffic laws, then use our lights & siren if we need to expedite through areas. Most of the responses you'll see on the internet will be code 3 (lights+Siren) from the beginning, because they are more interesting to watch & people like to upload them.
Primarily because it is required by state law, as stated above. Also, the highway that you are referring to is in fact a major roadway, not an interstate, in which we travel in excess of the posted speed limit. Therefore, it's always safer for both our citizens and responders to use the proper warning equipment when responding to high priority calls such as this. Thanks for watching.
It's all about state road laws. In my department if we don't have lights and sirens on we have to follow all these traffic laws which we can't when we are going to a call.
Dude kick ass footage brother.. You lay on that Q and Horn..

Where did this take place? The police car looks like Raleigh, NC Police, where I live. So I’m very curious to know where this happened.
Close to Brier Creek in Raleigh, NC
Prior to your arrival Police Should of been on scene prepairing to provide traffic control
How did this happen?
+Curtis Sylvester Jr. A medical emergency caused the driver to lose control and crash into the tree
