@@cmdrflint9115 Thats the joke.. I've handled both and other than the movement, there is little between them in quality. Doxa need to up their game or at least stop getting their cases and bracelets sourced from the same area where the homage/copies are produced.
I agree completely. I'm not a fan of the color orange. The Aquamarine is my favorite colorway, here; it's a shame that, for whatever reason, Doxa went with the disappearing black hour hand against its very dark dial instead of having it match the minute hand - it's perfect if not for that boneheaded decision. Sigh.
Bought the black and yellow version. I understand what people are saying about the black hour hand. In person it doesn’t blend in like you would think. I would have preferred a yellow hour hand. But I’m still very happy with the watch.
I've been crushing on this exact model/color since I tried it on at Watches of Switzerland a couple months ago. I definitely need a Doxa in my collection. I just have to figure out if it will be his or I'll just pick up something a bit cheaper like a Sub 200. I am thinking of selling a couple of lesser worn watches to make this happen sooner, since I just bought another watch new.
Roman style numerals for hour markers. Creativity still exists. Imagine Seiko coming up with something different on a dial instead of just another name or model number for a new piece. Unlikely, but they certainly are creative when it comes to pricing.
Very eye catching piece for sure, love the sunray dial and the wave pattern. Not a fan of the beads of rice bracelet nor the skinny hour hand, but I get that is a Doxa thing.
Check out the movie three days of the Condor with Robert Redford 1975 on UA-cam about 54 minutes in. I finally able to catch the watch Robert Redford has it looks like a boxer sub 300 on the old leather straps we used to wear, and we used to snap the watches onto the strap, pretty cool
Nah, give me the classic orange any day. But I’m glad Doxa are trying something new, re-releasing the same watch over and over for 50yrs isn’t sustainable.
I understand that. Let’s all just be honest for a second as watch enthusiasts and agree that Omega SMP is basically synonymous with the wave dial. Any other watch I see with a wave dial kind of feels like they are riding Omega’s wave (no pun intended)
I feel like these got very little positive press to begin with. I don't remember the TGN guys even saying a word about them. I guess the reason is it is such a departure from the toolish nature of the originals. Still think I'd go with the 300T Caribbean over this but I am warming to these.
To me, domed sticking out casebacks are unbearable. I can't stand them, they are so unconfortable, it hurts my wrist after sometime and makes the watch wobbly like a mofo. I only buy slim watches with flat casebacks where the lugs start at the high of the caseback, makes it have lower centre of gravity, hugs the wrist perfectly and stays put, not wobbling from one side to the other.
@@cmdrflint9115 There's some that have flat backs. I have the Monta oceanking 3 and the Black Bay 54. extremely thin and flat backs. The problem is that they cost a ton of cash
Not a Doxa fan, but this Caribbean… stunning
This looks great! BTW, I just bought a watch from Exquisite Timepieces on your recommendation. A+!
this muted blue looks awesome
I would of liked to see the seestern sat on the table just slightly out of shot just for fun😂
The seestern copies are really poor quality, never support Chinese copies.

I like the blue, but on a Doxa sub, I prefer it when the minutes hand matches the hour hand in colour...

Beautiful Watch
I reviewed the yellow-accented version of this watch and 100% agree. The black hour hand was a design miss. Love the blue dial version!

The 300 Beta looks amazing especially the Carribean blue colour. I am very keen to get one!
Great looking watch which hasn't been featured on UA-cam much. Thanks for showing.
That Blue , Orange & White Color scheme is just KILLER 🔥🔥
Wow... been teetering on the edge of adding a Doxa to the collection and now that I see this I'm really struggling. It's a beauty!
I see a Doxa Sub, I click. That ceramic is perfect.
Love this watch. It’s an absolute pleasure to have on wrist
I love that minute hand! I have Doxa on my radar!
This line is cool.
Is the dial ceramic?
I really want a 300 of some sort but worried this is too similar to my Seamaster ceramic?
On the other colours, they messed up with the black hour hand. Crazy
Looks great!

The black on black hour hand is a diving flex. You're not supposed to care what hour it its because you're underwater.

Agreed
Nice addition to the stable, I have the regular 300t in Caribbean color.
Beautiful
It's a nice piece.

Dammit Rob! Every time I think I’ve decided which Doxa to own, you show us another model. 🤦♂️
Oh man. I been looking for a blue dial orange hand watch. Cushion case has also been on my horizon. Well I guess I know where my money is going next.

Doxa is the best ❤
Wave dial? They think they’re Omega now?
Omega doesn’t own wave or wave dials

Are caseback interchangeable?
How much is that Orange dial Doxa?

Sadly that’s like 95% of dive watches you can’t wear then.

The...weird "β" on the dial is the 2nd letter from the greek alphabet, same as "b" and it's pronounced vita...
