I’m starting field hockey pretty soon, and I’m like soooo nervous. I’ve never really played before but I know the basics. I just hate stepping out of comfort zone and trying new things lol
Im a freshman and Im on the team our first scrimmage is monday and we dont have enough players for jv so I’m stuck going up against really good varsity players im so nervous
Elodie Parsons most of the time for us it was on turf, but some schools we would have to play on grass because they didn’t have turf fields. And yes it’s definitely harder to play on the grass!
wait...you guys play on astroturf?!?!? my school could barely afford to redo the grass this summer so we move most of the games to a turf complex an hour away and its not astro though :(
@@elodiepsns that must be really nice. our closest astro is 2 hours away at University of Delaware. but the worst part is that our football team gets a million dollar locker room and they aren't that good while our field hockey team has won 5 state championships in a row with a 65 game win streak and we have a shed and grass field

also idk about your school but for tryouts we have to run 2 miles so make sure youre ready to do that as well
honestly, i just signed up & got all the equipment then started my practices & after 3 weeks came the games.
