- Car Chronicles: “The Misadventures of Daily Driving a 1979 Mitsubishi Lancer in 2023”
Presented by Kick-Start Coffee
The charming and bubbly Chenee Jimenez shares with us her misadventures with daily driving a 1970s car in 2023. Her lovely red 1979 A140 Mitsubishi Lancer was a surprise weekend buy, where the criteria of choosing what car to purchase was simple: it had to be older than 1980, rear wheel drive and must look super cute on her social media. It clearly was a wise choice, as not only has Chenee’s Lancer dominated her social media, it has even changed her career path in a positive way!

Thanks for sharing with us your red "hot dog" car!
Awww. You're super cuuuuute. Good job!💗💓
LOVE IT!!! These days, people are allowing everything to be taken over by the machine. The amount of gadgets and gizmos on current cars only adds to the cost, and is something I am not interested in using. As someone who grew up with rear-wheel drive cars, I do prefer them in dry conditions (but AWD or 4 x 4 for ordinary purposes as I live in an area where Winters are severe!). There's nothing like actually controlling the car rather than allowing it to control itself, or even you! Chenee Jimenez, enjoy that Lancer! I remember those sold new here in the USA as the Dodge Colt.
We used to own one back in the nineties a Yellow Lancer SL bar type coupe
NPF 138
Way cool. I'm in the US, one of my girlfriends in high school had one of the Chrysler Co. branded Lancers (a 1978 "Dodge Colt"). I remember opening the hood to do some regular maintenance, and seeing Mitsu markings all over the decals in the engine compartment. I laughed. Great little cars.
My very first car was a 78 2 door Lancer in 1978. Lots of memories with that car.
The first car is always the most memorable!
Was a super fun shoot with great company! Chenee and Albert were an absolute treat haha yay! 😋
Nice car. Back to it original form. Classical and priceless. One of the vintage car in Mitsubishi industry. More upload videos.
