And if it someday gets old and boring, somehow?
Well, I doubt I'd ever be able to truly quit the gimmick, given it just boils down to being a fun playstyle.
I really am just a nuisance lol

I love how Pacifist Spy forces the user to focus less on getting those kills and quickly dying afterwards, and instead on *messing with the enemy team's heads.* It doesn't show up on the leaderboards but can be a lethal distraction
honestly spy should just perform that role normally, he needs more gadgets to cause paranoia.

I personally play pacifist spy with the red tape recorder. The goal isn't to outright destroy the building, it's to get the engi paranoid beyond recognition. I also spam voice lines at the engi for extra paranoia.

I love that the thumbnail shows the spy directly above the entire universe, but titled with "still a nuisance" implying that he's universal but not a threat, so he's just a universal nuisance

Truly a masterpiece of gameplay.
To prevent stream sniping, you can hide your screen until youre in game (and/or the server is full) so people cant que right as you do
I think the only reason why the spy backstabb one shots everyone is: 1- he aims for the back of the neck, 2- he aims straight for the spine, 3- he somehow stabbs the victim heart by behind
You would have to either have super strong arms or you can perfectly guess where the right spot to backstab is, since butterknives have a VERY hard time going thru bone
I've always assumed he stabs them in-between the vertebrae. Like, if you stab someone in the neck, and sever the spine, they're basically paralyzed from the neck down. In reality, while this technically wouldn't kill them, it would incapacitate them, and being immobilized on a battlefield is a death sentence anyway. I think it only kills you instantly in-game, because playing as someone who just got stabbed like that is basically the equivalent to being ragdoll'd, which would be frustrating as hell.
I mean, if your character got stuck like that, you'd just want to respawn with all your health and ammo intact anyway, so the game expedites that process.
@@negativedumpster9778 It would take like 5-6 seconds to die (since there is no more blood flow and no more oxygen) and the human brain can only last for like 5-6 seconds before going dark (or dying)

I like to think that the reason the backstab one shots is because it hurts them directly but mentally as well because they were just betrayed by someone they trusted so it’s physical damage and EMOTIONAL damage
What about trickstabs? Or any backstab you do while undisguised.

I cannot wait until the point where this series has so many parts the titles loop all the way around from "pacifist spy troll's the multiverse" to just "pacifist spy troll's one man", or something stupid like "pacifist spy troll's a small rural community by the border to Canada"
Something just as fun is being undisguised and just creepily looming somewhere until someone sees you and you cloak out of sight. Done this as an Observer Spy recently and was pretty fun. Had a Demoman chase me for quite a while before my Cloak and Dagger cloak ran out in front of some players and I kill binded. I guess that's the thing about 'Pacifist Spy' is that trolling players into high paranoia is just fun. Even more if you manage to semi-reliably evade your hunters.
I feel like this would work better with one spy on cloak and dagger and another spy on dead ringer. The cloak and dagger spy does all the work and the dead ringer spy takes all the blame, rings and gets away. Reset.
This was literally me today during VSH gamemode.
i waited till my entire team dies, then i became visible, and won against saxton using RPS lol.

I think this would be even more evil with:
-Red tape recorder, for extended pain and paranoia
-You can shoot your L'tranger at enemies without having to killbind, but only one shot every 30 seconds. Just a random 4 damage from across the map to spook someone
As an engie main, this is both endlessly hilarious, and endlessly painful

Another fun way to play this style is finding a rotation of health/ammo spawns to target and then yoinking them out from under low enemies.
Burning scout? They watch the health and ammo poof in front of them. Etc etc. Since you can always pick up resources while disguised and through cloak

I tried this gimmick, you are freakishly good at movement, I suck at movement so I died a lot. If you just practiced stabbing, you could hypothetically be the best spy player to ever live.
