I liked what Daniel said about changing the narrative of the woman being the more spiritual and praying one in the family got me snapping my fingers. This is what I’ve been saying for the longest time. Most men tend to look for a woman who can pray or will pray for them but are they willing or ready to prophesy, pray and speak spirit-filled words into the life of their partner?. God help us all.
As a matter of fact, the man is supposed to lead in all aspects including the spiritual aspect. As men, we have to understand that we must first have a solid spiritual level before we even look for partners because we're going to be in control of the ship(the family) and we need of course we need a helper. If the leader isn't more spiritual, the ship will sink!

I made my celibacy decision in jss3 after a social studies class when we were thought abstinence. The teacher explained the spiritual implications of having multiple sex partners and since the, God has been helping me to keep myself till now. Its over 15 years now and God is still faithful

It's funny how I was talking to some guys two days ago about the type of man I want (being celibate and all that good stuffs) and they were saying it's impossible, that it's already in their blood to be sexually active
I tried my best to convince them but to no avail
They even told me my mindset will change after sometime or when I travel abroad
But I know men like that exist and I'm patiently waiting on God for one❤️
Because they are not truly men of God.

One thing I’ve learnt is that while in the waiting room for anything, like anything at all, while making a prayer of request over and over again, and it seems God isn’t responding like u want, you change the direction of communication with God
Instead of prayer of request, turn it into a thanksgiving. I so much believe that if at a point in life, some things aren’t working out they way we want, I believe God is preparing for us something better. So what we should do it turn that request into a thanksgiving, pray about it once or twice, Let him be aware of it and then carry on with thanksgiving, Just wake up every morning and say, “God I thank bcus of this, I’m grateful because this is working out for my good” and stuff like that. Just thought to share ❤🥰😍

100% what Daniel is saying @13:17. I believe that part of womens' gripe with submission is because they're choosing men who aren't leaders. Let him lead himself in the area of discipline. If in dating, he's struggling to make a decision and stand by it, why would that change after marriage?

Fact is, the more Godly people in this UA-cam space, the Godlier the content will be. It's refreshing to see people with transformed minds talk these issues out. We need more of these.
In summary, God wants even better things that we want for ourselves but an unrenewed mind/not fully yielded heart can hinder us from accessing these blessings and if you are sure you're on track, remember that "all (even the seemingly unpleasant) things work together for good to them that love the lord & are called according to his purposes".

Thank you for this. As a man, I've had similar experiences and societal expectations. And I can relate to the temptations that come once you are in a committed Christian relationship. We fall but we rise. I've been wrestling with the idea of being a priest and leading both I and my potential partner in Christ. It definitely comes with more responsibility, in that I am responsible if I lead a daughter of God astray. Can we have the guys talk about how they prepared for that?

@@JoshuaRotimi the circle of friends I have is not the issue, they are actually very decent God centred individuals. My issue is finding that person who has made a decision to stay celibate. Even in church not so many people can say they are waiting. Yes they might tick all the boxes and then this factor disqualifies them

I love this video so much, I was blessed by watching it. But I have a question and I feel most videos on celibacy hasn’t really touched deep on this question. My question is this, how do we handle sexual urges while on the celibacy journey, a lot of people will say I’m a celibate I’ve been on the journey for 3 years and counting but behinds close door they are addicts to masturbation, they are addicted in watching video from inappropriate sites. So how do you fight this urges because they will definitely come .
1. Know your triggers
2. Set boundaries
3. Have an accountability partner/community
4. Let your mind be filled with thoughts that are on Kingdom building.

I have been battling this celibacy issue lately, I almost felt like I will just give up sometime like or force issues someday to get a guy to get married to. I've been meeting 'church guys' who do not have chills asking for s3x and its been kinda tough. I decided to equip myself and build myself in Christ for now but in my heart I felt I wasn't gonna get a man who can abstain. Watching these men here confidently talking about it. Like my hope is rekindled. Like thank you so much

Saw this video as a recommendation and super grateful :) Love how Uzoma/Daniel mentioned the talk in the church towards singles that it will "just come" or that "they have to figure something out for God to bless them/there is something wrong" and how that can be hurtful, but rather more sensitive ways to address and work through that season directly with the Lord and let him do a beautiful sanctifying work through that single season that continues into a Godly relationship/marriage. Also loved the honest dialogue regarding men and their walks regarding purity! Overall, so good bringing practical points to spiritual truths!

Yess it's really possible. It used to be a prayer request of mine and God granted me, my current boyfriend who doesn't drink at all. Yes it's very possible no matter how rare it may seem ❤️

I think a better term to use is chastity, instead of celibacy. Celibacy is for those living a religious life, like priests, monks, reverend sisters, nuns etc. They dedicate their lives to God and take a vow of celibacy, meaning no sexual activity for the rest of their lives. Chastity is a virtue for those who aren't looking to live religious lives, but want to maintain sexual purity, that is they refrain from any unlawful sexual activity. This means that chastity applies not just to singles but also to married couples. Great video btw.
This video came at the right time. I spoke to two guys about celibacy and the reply I got from them was shocking. They both said they will cheat on their girlfriend, bcos to them intimacy is deep and they can’t do without it.

The most important thing to do while waiting is focus on hearing God clearly… God loves us, the Holy Spirit is always available to talk to you and direct you. If you can hear him, you would know the purpose of the wait. Hearing the holy spirit will take you through everything in life. Be content with only God, all things will follow.
My sister is 39 and is celibate she is sweet but not married now... I am 25 and celibate not married also... and like Daniel we grew up with our mother telling us not to play with our body... my sister doesn't let it get to her. My boyfriend is Daniel, and he is sexually active and yes he has been celibate with me for 4years by he isn't sooo close to God, but he is trying to be better
