She needs to STOP clumping the nasty cheap off brand plastic with TUPPERWARE, IT IS NOT THE SAME and gives the brand a bad name, don't believe everything you see on the internet 😒

"Tupperware brand or ...piece of plastic that falls under the generic Tupperware umbrella" - in terms of BPA the concerns are valid either way

Please stop calling off-brands Tupperware.!! Tupperware brand is extraordinary quality and does NOT contain unsafe chemicals like lead, etc. You’re repeating an urban myth. Tupperware had a few items containing BPAs in the 90s and they were acrylic serving pieces you wouldn’t microwave in and were discontinued in 2010. Even old Tupperware is still safe because it never contained BPAs.

"Tupperware brand or ...piece of plastic that falls under the generic Tupperware umbrella" and Tupperware ITSELF (the actual brand) states that it didn't NIX BPA until 2010! Read their FAQs please :)

I’m sure the person who posted means well but oh my God… Now I have the worst headache. Who has time to figure all this out? I’m feeling overwhelmed just by listening.

Reading the comments... growing up we called our containers tupperware even if they were not truly tupperware. Kinda like calling a tissue a kleenex... it might not be a true kleenex but you still know what people mean. Sorry to the tupperware fans out there but my mom didn't go to the parties to get the brand name polypropylene containers we just used what we had and called it tupperware.

Thank you so much for this! Likewise, I grew up calling all plastic containers tupperware (just like tissue / Kleenex) and know many others do too, so we didn't mean to cause any confusion for folks.
