We often say someone was "born to be" something and I feel like it's an overused expression but there are people who are really like that. Taka was really born to be a singer.
I think this interview of Taka was the best ever. You asked such pertinent questions and even some fun ones and it really helped that you really know about One OK Rock. Some interviewers know nothing about them and it shows but you obviously really admire them and so it made this interview really special. The funniest part was when Taka said he was afraid of heights and could climb quickly but had to think about slowly coming down. I have seen videos of him in high places and knew he was afraid of heights so I guess he just got carried away. You also asked more interesting questions and I loved hearing Taka's answers. I just watched the MV for Dystopia and it was so awesome that I think One OK Rock is on its way to even greater fame. Thank you for this interview. I have to watch it again.

I was so happy you did because it shows that you actually know your interviewee and their music, and really recognize how amazing and underrrated his covers were. Name-dropping the Adele/Journey covers, c'mon now! Many outside of the loyal OOR fans doesn't even know about the covers, I'm glad you brought it up.
I never jumped so fast into an interview, and it almost felt so short 45 mins never went by so quickly. I love it when Taka decides to do more interviews now. I am such a sucker for their content outside of their music 😂. ONE OK ROCK is a huge part of my life, and Taka is so inspirational as a human being. It’s funny how full-circle life can be sometimes. You talked about Chester, Linkin Park and the tribute show. It’s crazy that Colin Brittain had produced the one ok rock album the year one ok rock was gonna open for Linkin Park and now he’s the new drummer. Emily had asked to be part of the tribute show as well.. there’s just so much serendipity. On a seperate note, I don’t always love when people bring up Chester but you always do it in a very classy way that stays respectful!

Taka has a beautiful soul. I was at the Kia Forum this year and it was my first One Ok Rock concert, won't be my last. Him and his younger brother Hiroki have helped me through depression with their music and I have a special connection to the two bands. Thank you Taka for being amazing. 🥹 Touching moment when Taka talked about Chester B. of LP and what happened in 2017. I was the one who got excited about LP tour with OOR as an opening band in 2017. Then the tragedy turned my world upside down. I've been dealing with my depression for 7 years. It's good to hear about how he copes with his mental health. I wish he feels better every day, always surrounded by supportive, inspiring, and caring people who love him as he is. 🤍
Taka is such a versatile singer his voice can do anything he sets himself to do. He’s such a huge inspiration. I myself working on my singing voice and he’s one of the reasons why I picked it up again. But since I got pregnant with my son and now my second one on the way it’s been hard to keep practicing and juggling parenthood and hobbies lol
We always see celebs in interviews and just treat it par for the course , but seeing taka receive his flowers is everything , I’ve never rooted for someone and been so happy to see them succeed as much as taka , so humble and genuine and thankful to be able to bring his band to the peak . I’m constantly recalling takas conversations with his lable , where 10 years ago he talks of succeeding in the west and them telling him it’s not going to happen , Japan and it’s music won’t succeed , taka responding with ‘that’s your fucking limit , not mine ‘ and look at them now . And should he ever play Wembley stadium im there

I think One Ok Rock often appears on Japanese TV, One Ok Rock is very popular in my country, Indonesia I really like One Ok Rock but I only know a little about One Ok Rock (〒﹏〒)
I generally prefer the Japanese version of their songs/albums. That's why I didn't notice until now that the international version of "Luxury Diseage" only contains 13 songs instead of 15. So fans: listen to the Japanese version! It's twice as worth it!
One of the best interviews out there with Taka! 💗 Wish the whole band was with him as well. You can really feel the passion coming out from this interview so I enjoyed listening to their conversation about their newest songs and their sold-out arena tour in the West. Wow what a great interview, I really enjoyed watching it! Thank you so much for your thoughtful questions - I nodded non-stop in concurrence whenever you asked a question, you're such a good host! They say a foreign accent is a sign of bravery, and that's what I see in him all the time. There're so many things I wanna comment on from this interview (like a cover album oh yes please make it happen!), but it may end up becoming an essay, so I'll just round up my feelings and say that - the band came a long way; they worked hard and have made (and will continue to make) great music - but definitely they received a lot of help and kindness from the friends and people they met in America (and the world) who believed in them, and as a fan it makes me both happy and grateful to see that ❤️ Thank you again Allison for giving us a glimpse into Taka's world :)

Takaは子供の頃、大手アイドル事務所に所属していた時期があります。
デビューして程なく退所したのですが、退所者を業界から干す悪名高い事務所だったので、TV出演は諦めていたのだと思います。
Taka本人は強がってますが、実質的には出られない状況だったと言うことです。
そういった権力やメディアへの反発力もワンオクを強くさせてると思います。
因みに昨年その事務所が崩壊したことでTVに出やすくなりましたが、ワンオクは自力で地位を築いてきたわけですし、TVの影響力が弱まってる今、出る必要性も弱まってます。

I generally prefer the Japanese version of their songs/albums. That's why I didn't notice until now that the international version of "Luxury Diseage" only contains 13 songs instead of 15. So fans: listen to the Japanese version! It's twice as worth it!

One of the best interviews out there with Taka! 💗 Wish the whole band was with him as well. You can really feel the passion coming out from this interview so I enjoyed listening to their conversation about their newest songs and their sold-out arena tour in the West. It’s actually about time for the greatest longstanding rock bands out there like ONE OK ROCK to have more platform like this where everyone can enjoy discussions about music we love, so I’m really glad that this interview happened! 🎉

They say a foreign accent is a sign of bravery, and that's what I see in him all the time.
There're so many things I wanna comment on from this interview (like a cover album oh yes please make it happen!), but it may end up becoming an essay, so I'll just round up my feelings and say that - the band came a long way; they worked hard and have made (and will continue to make) great music - but definitely they received a lot of help and kindness from the friends and people they met in America (and the world) who believed in them, and as a fan it makes me both happy and grateful to see that ❤️

He's def one of my top 3 Japanese vocalists. I love when he did karaoke of Higedan Pretender. He sounded amazing and it didn't seem like he was trying.
