Life at 3:14 is one of the best I've seen since those oldies but goodies!
Event Horizon at 6:32 is another oldie, but I love it!!
Pitch Black at 9:40 is really good too. It's like 7.1 on IMDB, which for a horror flick is like a 10. Definitely watch this!
Hellraiser at 11:28 is an acquired taste - either you like the Hellraiser franchise or you don't. Personally, I find them kind of funny and a bit creative. Give any of them a try?
Sunshine at 13:10 also has a 7.2 on IMDb. Starring Cillian Murphy - I could watch that man eat a ham sandwich for 2 hours - sexy! Good movie too!
Pandorium at 16:46 is pretty good! Almost a 7 on IMDb
Prometheus at 19:32 is a really good movie!! High ratings on IMDb. As part of ALIEN....You can't go wrong with his... it's AWESOME!
Europa Report at 24:15 is pretty good. It's what they find under that ice that's intriguing. 6.4 on IMDb. Maybe not the best, but worth a watch. Pretty scenery!
Apollo 18 at 25:45 was worth the watch, although only given a 5.2 on IMDb, it still makes one ponder if our government has been sending missions without our knowledge??
Riddick at 27:25 I found fun. I'm not a Vin Deisel fan, but this was a good role for him. 6.4 on IMDb, it's worth a watch!!
Jason X at 31:45 - OMG! How many of these movies can they make? A person running around in an ice hockey mask, killing everything.. snoozefest.. Cult following
ALIENS at 30:22 -*THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN THE ALIEN SAGA.... MUST WATCH!*
Dark City at 33:10 - probably the most UNIQUE sci-fi/horror movie I've ever seen. With IMDb rating of 7.6, I'd say this is a MUST see! Just strap on your 'strangeness' imagination!
Last Days of Mars at 37:39 - Personally, I liked it - finding life on their last days stationed there, although IMBb gives it a 5.5? I disagree. I think it's worth seeing... it's freaky!
Red Planet 44:28 - LOVED IT!! While not given the highest ratings on IMBb, this is the final movie I feel Val Kilmer was at this best! WATCH THIS!!
2001: A Space Odyssey at 56:10 - Is one of the BEST MOVIES YOU'LL EVER SEE IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE!! Having a massive cult following - this is a MUST watch! (IMDb 8.3)
_~ Don't forget the follow up film, "2010: The Year We Make Contact"_ Not in this video, but I'm not sure why not? It's more fun with HAL (the onboard AI).
The Dark Side of The Moon at 1:00:05 - Is just horrible, but I had to mention in order to talk about another movie:
_"Iron Sky" - A MUST SEE!!_ The NAZIs didn't lose, they just went to the dark side of the moon. Building up their troops, it's time for them to attack Earth now... funniest, creative, and odd movie I've ever seen. HUGE CULT following. And don't forget its sequel "Iron Sky: The Coming Race" another riot, if you're into weird/dark humor!!
_If I didn't list it, either I haven't seen it, or it's too horrible to even talk about (and at my age, I've seen about every sci-fi, space, horror film out there)!_

Some great stuff in here. LIFEFORCE is my absolute fave, and in my top ten movies of all time. I must disagree with your assertion that many critics considered it to be one of the most intelligent vampire films ever made. Critics hated the movie, almost unanimously. I can count the number of positive critical reviews literally on one hand. Audiences didn’t much care for it either, as it bombed. But they were all wrong. It’s Tobe Hooper’s finest film.

I am normally skeptical of these list videos, but you have definitely done your homework. I was also surprised that I have seen every one of the movies listed. Even more, I was glad to see both Creature and Forbidden World listed. Creature because I think I just like Klaus Kinski, and Forbidden World for its incredible use of music to heighten the perceived reality to the point of stirring deep emotion and is still listed as one of my favorite movies. The monster effects might be almost laughable at times, the gore and T&A gratuitous, and even the random flipping of switches, as if to pretend at being intelligent, makes one wonder if rehearsals were even done, but the stories offset the bad effects and deliver truly enjoyable movie experiences.

It's good that you recognized 2001 : A Space Odyssey as a horror. The USS Discovery sequence from the first fly-by of the Discovery to Bowman shutting down HAL and listening to the broadcast transmission "still a total mystery" is THE textbook horror/monster claustrophobic chase sequence movie and could be edited into its own standalone film. Coupled with the other greatest horror monster of all time, aside from HAL, is The Monolith. The Monolith is scarier and more omniscient than Pazuzu in The Exorcist and the Alien combined, complete with the beautiful hellish choir accompaniment that surpasses both of those other monsters. 2001 also has the BEST ape creatures ever put to cinema AND the BEST Lovecraftian extradimensional maw EVER put to cinema. The 4 best monsters EVER in what the director Stanley Kubrick himself called a Science-Fiction Comedy Horror. How about that? And all in 1968!!

I know that the script has some ....inadequate elements and it's supposedly intelligent characters behaving in ridiculous ways here and there. That said, I'm fairly confident that Prometheus exists amongst my favourite films ever made. I can't say how many times I've watched the film. I find it existentially horrifying! Dying on a planet light years away from home is absolutely terrifying to me!! It has glorious, beautiful cinematography and is acted perfectly - particularly the 2 leads. I love this film and I was very disappointed by it's sequel, Alien: Covenant. Prometheus was ponderous and cerebral (for me) whereas Alien: Covenant was little more than a dumb action film. It was a mistake. However, I still genuinely look forward to another entry in this series - the Alien franchise is one of the most mind-bending, suspenseful series I've had the pleasure to watch! I love it!!
    1. Alien
    2. Prometheus
    3. Aliens
    4. Alien Resurrection
    5. Alien: Covenant
    6. Alien 3 (which remains a hot pile of shit blown out of the hilariously massive corn wagon that Blac Chyna had attached to where her ass used to be....)
I don't consider the Alien/Predator films to be part of the "Alien" franchise though many would disagree. I actually don't think I've seen either one of those 2 films. And it'll stay that way I reckon.

Big nope on this list, omitted many classics for contemporary twaddle starring morons which equal bad comedies and not thrillers or horrors.

Doom Annihilation is one of the absolute worst movies ever made. How do you put this on a top movie list aside from the most awful movies ever made? Seriously.

Lesson learned. Appreciate and fix earth. Build space stations and escape vessels as last resort. Have ROBOTS AND DRONES DO THE EXPLORATION AND HEAVY LIFTING.

...and as great an effort you people put into this video, I do need to correct you on one point - James Cameron did not really direct "Galaxy of Terror" - It was directed by Bruce Clark. Cameron did however work on the film in the capacity of Production Design and 2nd Unit Director - I would believe that Roger Corman really was the spark that inspired the flame which is James Cameron today. His entire catalogue is unique and well-regarded as it should be.

Some of these description: WAY TOO MUCH info given.
Like Prospect, most of the movie is given away in your description. Only two key events happen after your description ends.
Suggestion: Talk WAY LESS about the films and show more of them instead.
Example description (for Prospect): "A prospecting father and daughter get stranded on a hostile world when their ship malfunctions. Will they be able to survive on this alien world and make it home?"
That's all of a description you really need right? We still want to enjoy the film. Not being snarky. Just trying to help. Thanks for this list and good luck.

Inseminoid has that classic giant monster rape scene. It is totally gratuitous and not necessary to the plot.
I heard that it was added by sleazy movie execs who wanted a more 'tangible' impregnation scene. Or was it in Planet Terror. I recommend it if you are Japanese or into tentacle hentai.

Dark Side of the Moon is a strange one. I fell alseep watching it. My ex-girlfriend (who remained awake) told me it had a "full on X-rated scene" [sic]. I watched it later to see this raunchy scene (and I wanted to see the rest of the movie). Man, what a let down. The one female character makes lots of lusty faces, touches herself and barely shows a booby. This is a good religious themed Sci fi flicks. It may be a unofficial sequel to Prince of Darkness.

Life Force has so much female frontal nudity it probably should have been rated NC-17. The villainess chick is pretty much nude throughout the movie.
The movie feels like a Doctor Who episode when the Doctor was adventuring on another planet.
This should be confused with the NES game 'Life Force' by Konami. I did that as a kid.
