      Poland is investing in its infrastructure and yet Germans will still look down on the country and spit while having to fax health insurance forms between offices. It's crazy 😂😂

      @jhrggh- Well said👍💯👍. I am Asian living in Germany. I am planning to leave after living here for almost 8 years. Germans love to look down on Polish people and also other ethnic groups. Germany still uses fax machines which is a big joke. Germans have a superior attitude but they can't see that their country is far behind when compared to other countries. I love Poland and how safe, efficient and educated people are. Polish people speak English very well and are also friendly.

    I live in Frankfurt and we have a lot of the same issues you said about Berlin. Lots of aggressive people on drugs on the streets and it is worse now after Covid. Everything is dirtier and the U-Bahn is now in disrepair. The German mentality? Just complain about the problems and never fix anything. The German mentality needs a change, now. I was at the Bürgeramt to apply for a passport and the person working at the desk was basically SHOUTING at me to complete the last page only. I give her the application and say there is nothing to fill on the last page and she starts berating me, yelling until she turns the application over and then turns very quiet. It turns out SHE forgot to include the last page 😂😂. I decided after that I was going to leave after finishing my degree because nothing will get fixed, especially after this year's election. Safe travels and all the best you explorer!

    • @jhrggh
      @jhrggh 4 дні тому

      @@24wallachian Personal opinion: I am not a political scientist but I have a lot of thoughts about the election. Merz has shown himself as someone without principles focused solely on getting himself to be Chancellor and willing to disregard everything in order to get there. Especially with the most recent vote on the Bundestag motion, he is willing to use AfD support for his own gains and it will only be a matter of time before a CDU/CSU and AfD coalition. Meanwhile the common people will struggle even more and be squeezed by the cronyism a new CDU/CSU government will bring, made worse by AfD scorched earth policies.

      Everything is worse because of the foreigners coming in. After a certain point, it is nearly impossible to fix things. German mentality is not the problem. Certain people have to be kicked out of Germany.

    Berlin is not like the rest of Germany. It's going downhill for about 10 years now. "Talahons" are a problem in general but Berlin and Frankfurt have become really bad. You definitely missed the real Germany when you've never been outside of Berlin. I find the title of the video very misleading because "I'm just an explorer" is not really the answer to "Why is everyone leaving Germany?". What bothers me the most is the job market and the low salaries.

      I lived in Berlin for 4 years, Hamburg for 6 months, Munich for 5 months, Frankfurt for 1 year, Düsseldorf for 5 months... German, the food, the dirt, the boredom, aggressive people and bad doctors are everywhere, believe me. You work half the year, so you pay for the Syrians and Ukrainians, their apartments and their food and everything... I speak German so well that they think I'm German, and yet I have no friends, as foreigners know! You wait for an appo with a doctor like 3 months and they're bad & incompetent... The quality of the appartments is shit!! Germany is communism and a paradise for lasy poor people

    You made my day talking about the winter from your perspective 😂😂 - "horrible winter blues" indeed! I also want to stay inside all the time, and I see these German families out for walks with their kids and dogs in the miserable cold and ask myself how they do it??? I'm from Hamburg, but lived all over the world, mostly in warmer countries, for half my life. Now I've been based back here for ten years, and every winter I tell myself "this is is the last time, not doing this again next year" but then something happens, a job or a pandemic or a relationship, and I end up stuck for most of the winter :-/ Have not yet given up hope that I'll manage to make it out in time next year!

    Can you get more into detail on how you managed to get the tech job in Berlin? How important were your acquired German skills? My boyfriend is of Ghanaian (but with UK citizenship) and has a BA degree in Computer Science, 20 years experience of running his own IT company and currently studying for a Cyber Security MA degree. So far the application / interview experiences for tech positions have been frustrating some traumatic, so he stopped applying for now. The bureaucracy also drives us crazy. Despite all his skills it should be much easier. We'd really need some advice. He's not ready to move here before he hasnt secured a job. Thanks. Oh yeah and Berlin is also the grumpiness capital of Germany. Good on you for moving to a hopefully more positive place. I suggest Portugal. XD

    • @carmenamaka
      @carmenamaka 4 дні тому

      Does he have a work permit? That’s where it starts if he doesn’t live in Germany and his address on his application won’t be a German residential address.
      Tho I know some Nigerians in Tech working for German companies from Nigeria but they are not employed, it’s freelance work. So basically German companies can’t really employ you as an employer before you live here - too many regulations have to be met.
      Also when doing remote work, almost no company will employ you and allow you working from outside of the EU because of cybersecurity and bureaucratic reasons. Even if you live in the UK, you would have a hard time getting employed by a German company. Maybe this is something you need to keep in mind why it doesn’t work. Getting a job in tech is not difficult here but you need to be already living in this country.

    • @carmenamaka

      @ I criticize the term “unskilled”, as she did in the video by the way (bravo!). I come from the industry. A restaurant can manage for days without a chef, but only a few hours without a dishwasher.
      Do you have any idea how much product knowledge a waiter needs to have? Wines alone! I'm talking about professional establishments.
      The jobs are underestimated and devalued.

      There is no way you can ever, EVER compare the German bureaucracy to the United States, UK or any other western countries. I was born in Germany, went to college in the UK and I have been living in the US for 12 years. The bureaucracy in the US is a breeze compared to the German one. Everytime I have an appointment with the German embassy I get anxiety cause I know they will ask for a trillion things for one simple thing.
