Thanks for the ideas, Oz! Be careful to pay attention to the voltages running from the Maths into the Mother-32. I've started (but not yet finished) a doc on CV specs for my gear - most of the M32 inputs like signals that are at most 5V. I think Maths channels 2 and 3 output 10V at max setting. From what I've heard, problems won't necessarily occur right away, but will occur over time. Friendly note from a (nervous) person who knows a little (not a lot yet :)) Maybe you already have this topic well in hand? If so, tips are welcome!
Thanks for posting this. I'm an extreme noob and I too would like to compile CV specs for my gear, but I'm having trouble finding some of these specs. For example, Mutable's Marbles outputs a maximum of +5 or -5 volts, but the manual says nothing about what it will accept as an input signal. Do I presume this means it will handle up to +10 unless otherwise stated. How do I determine the max voltage if the documentation doesn't say?
I just asked Moog's tech support, they said: "Its certainly better to be safe that sorry when patching the Mother 32 with other Eurorack modules. Most of the inputs and outputs of the M32 will safely accept a voltage range between -5 and +5 volts, with a maximum voltage tolerance of up to +8 volts. For signals higher than +8 volts, its best to attenuate them down to a safe voltage level before patching into the Mother 32."
I’m a little late to comment ;) But this is very helpful video. I’m new to eurorack, and have both the M32 and Maths. Maths has been pretty much sitting there...This has blown my mind...I’ll be checking this out ASAP.
Hey ! Nice vid ! Seems like you plugged the Warps from its input tho, that's probably why we couldn't hear any change when you were turning CH3's attenuverter.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Where is your audio output going from the M32? I'm new to modular and also just got my Mother32 and have just been using the audio out in the back into my interface but the signal seems weak. Any tips?
Super !
Hey I don’t see an octave plug on the mother-32, how do you control an external oscillator with the sequencer? I see the gate to control when it plays but not the octave to say how high or low to play it.
Nice demonstration! Good intro to Maths done with great choice of examples. But you need a more interesting sequence on the Mother 32. That one gets monotonous pretty quick.
Just got a MATHS as my first "real" module to use with my M32. Your video really helped me a lot to figure it out. Thanks!

omg I've just bought m32 and maths and now i read this.what can i do to avoid problems?? atenuverter?

"let's get crazy!" Indeed. Nice examples of what we can do with Maths + Warps. Thanks for sharing this! Gotta get a Maths...

Yeah, damn, the maths really makes any semi modular insanely cooler! Nice work, the video is awesome!
Thank you for the upload! I just got a Maths myself to go with my new eurorack and need some pointers on making patches with my Mother.
just ordered a mother 32! psyched to get started!

Let’s get crazy!
The mother 32 is such a beast!
one word for you....*ELEKTRON* the real beast!!!
DoodleKaboodle if its not a VL-1 then its no good. That the real beast.
no, TRUMP is the real beast.
Great video! Thanks
Let”s get crazyyy! :)
Woooo

Erik Hanson vca out
Ah of course, see it now. Much better, thank you !
Love this! Great video!!
Great video! Watch out for those cables! :)
?
Great thanks Oz! Is that the Roland cases mounting your modules? If so, would be grateful to hear your thoughts on them .. cheers ;-)
Davey Earp very cool and solid racks....strong power....u can go for it!
Good to hear, thanks for your help and keep up the good work ;-)
Please figure out a way to shoot the video looking straight at the modules. The patching is not visible on the MATHS. Tx

jcrois ki repond jamais..

Dannytalk just work on one octave range, set on the mother.
Maybe the keyboard output?
Bring on part 2!
when you trigger the maths while its cycling the cycling is overriding the trigger. just thought that may be helpful to you..
I've seen Maths with black panels in some photos, does anyone know where I can get a black colored Maths?
i think that it is only sold with the Black and Gold Share System, not individually.

Like !!!
Both companies in the same city lol
nice

minun musiikkia Löytyy Facebookista.
Where'd you get that case?
Elvis Hopper Roland SYR
what's that tiny module in between maths and the mother? is it a mixer?
Doepfer double sample n hold ;)
+iscariah71 Thanks!
At least half of the fun of watching this video is hearing your bubbly narrative with your accent.
Stephen James tank u maaaaaan
@@iscariah71 Certainly, old fruit.
its unbelievable crap what you did with this very interesting and powerful equipment.
not sure you really did that equipment justice
MUUG xD
question is not do i need a maths but, do i need two?
Leon Trimble no
some days i think i do
well... it was a rhetorical question.
at 4 min mark he shuts up
