This was VERY helpful. You explained it beautifully (I tried a few times with other tutorials and didn't get it). Your suggestion using the "grid" on my cutting board is a WONDERFUL tool. Thank you!
I’m so glad you found it helpful! 😊 It’s great to hear that the explanation clicked for you this time. Using the grid on your cutting board really does make a difference! Thanks so much for your kind words-I really appreciate it! ❤️ If you haven’t already, please subscribe-I’m on my way to 100k! 🌟
I loved the tip on how to find the right side, how many times have I not known! Also, all my life I thought the binding was like bias tape and had to be cut on the bias. So glad to find out diffetently!
Hey Everyone, I would love it if you would join me for my UA-cam Premiers's today starting at 5 pm ET, it really is a lot of fun watching them with you all! If you are enjoying my course, please do me a favor and like my videos, and even better leave a comment - it is very much appreciated!
It depends how big your quilt is. If you are doing my five week free learn to quilt course, I say in the video. Otherwise use a quilting calculator like QuiltingCalc.

Glad it was helpful Jenny! You can do binding on the bias, but for most quilts it is not necessary, it is more for scolloped edges ❤

How do you know how many stripes to cut?
It depends how big your quilt is. If you are doing my five week free learn to quilt course, I say in the video. Otherwise use a quilting calculator like QuiltingCalc.
how wide is your fabric?
It’s the width of fabric. So around 42” wide.
