Yes, he does sing "Diva Dance", the blue alien's song from The Fifth Element"! And, yes, for the movie, parts were computer-generated, as no human was supposed to be able to sing it. Dimash can and does! No computer needed! 🎶♥️

The song means a lot to Dimash for a couple of serious reasons. He discovered it as a result of the performance of the song by Gregory Lemarchal, a young, talented reality show contestant on a French TV series where he was required to sing, act and dance. Gregory had cystic fibrosis and only 25 percent of his lung capacity but went on to win the show. Shortly before his death while waiting for a lung transplant at the age of 23, Gregory sang this song live a couple of times in front of French audiences. This occurred in 2007 at a time when Dimash was coming into his own and looking for role models. Later, Dimash's friend, Denis Ten, an Olympic medalist in figure skating, was murdered at the age of 25 by a couple of guys stealing items off his car in Kazakhstan. I believe these incidents come to mind every time Dimash sings the song and is why it is performed so emotionally.
Yes, Denis was the first figure skater who danced on Dimash's SOS. Now there are more of them, including the Ave Maria song.
An additional note about the song. As was mentioned Lemarchal died of CF, a lung disease. There was a line in the song about losing your breath or having it taken away. In tribute to Lemarchal, Dimash had stopped singing that line of the song (that's at least one old version, where he does sing that line, 'The Slavic Bazar' version I believe, but meet versions it's always missing.)

Enjoy it. He defines his style as neoclassical crossover and says he is a tenor (from some earlier interviews I heard from him). He has been working on his instrument, the voice, since he was 5 and he is turning 29 in May. He says he practices at least 3 hrs a day and still with vocal teachers whenever possible. Yes, Dimash defies categorisation. He's unique. In a league of his own. He is shifting the boundaries of what we thought the human voice was capable of. It's also a mistake to try to correlate his skill level with his age. Dimash started formal vocal training at age 5 - so, at least 10 years before most others commence classical techniques. 😄👍

Dimash: the soundtrack " ACROSS ENDLESS DIMENSIONS" to the Italian sci-fi film "The Creators: The Past". A wonderful story. Composer and director Pierguseppe Zaya asked his assistants to find the best performer in the world for the final song for the film. The name of Dimash Kudaibergen was indicated in the search query. And the singer agreed to this proposal. Moreover, the author sent Dimash a demo version performed by three professional singers so that Dimash would understand what sound the director was trying to achieve. He has an old video floating around with the first half of that song but he sings it in a lower octave from the Opera Singer in the movie. The 2nd half of the song which was done by computer because it has the alien voice overlap itself, can't be done by any humans but Dimash do come so close! There's only a handful of opera singers who come as close also. The best version is his Bastau concert. ❤

The song for The Fifth Element was recorded specifically so that people would understand what an alien was singing, for this they inserted computer-synthesized parts of the song, some parts were recorded with the help of an opera singer. Where she couldn't sing, computer-synthesized pieces were inserted. So the director wanted to show that it was the alien who sang.

Thank you for the video and yes, you are just scratching the surface. You will be blown away by Olympico, he is a one-man opera on that one. Ave Maria, he sounds like an angel, and Ikanaide, he has breath control which leaves you breathless. If you are familiar with Lara Fabian, he does a cover of her songs. Adagio, unbelievable, and at the age of 22 at that time, and Mademoiselle Hyde. No words, just prepare to be continually amazed. I better stop here before I get carried away..but it's hard. Димаш спел Марию "Синей Девы" из фильма "5 " элемент" .... Впервые на конкурсе Сингер 2017. Но лучшая версия была исполнена на концерте Бастау Всего 1 минуту и 40 секунд абсолютного восторга!... Хотя в фильме ария создавалась электронным способом на основе голоса известной оперной певицы.
