- Due to renovations I've had to move my stash of kits to one place, so I thought it would make a great video to show my stash. Ill go thru them in a latter video but i know deep in my heart ill never have the time to build them all.. From Airfix Revell Tamiya Academy and Zvezda.. Cars Boats and Planes.. Plenty of model kits old and new in my stash!!
How many kits do you have in your stash? Let me know in the comments box below!

Two things in life that I have dreamed of. A library to myself & a pile of model kits just like yours to get lost in. Amazing collection & highly jealous. Be very interesting to hear how your selling off the ones you don't want. Will it be Ebay or private sales ?...
They will go on a friends ebay with the other 200 plus listed

SABLE - Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy lol
Yes.. I remember on James May Model Programme a chap saying that phrase..
I don't get it. I've built 50 just in the last year. 🤷
First kit I saw there - the old Fiat G55S - sits proudly on top of my stash of shame. It's been there for about 25 years! But I am going to build it, I really really will...
Haha.. Like my Gus Grisham Liberty Bell.. Its still got the sellophane on it..
Reminds me of my stash before a recent drastic clean-out, filled two black plastic bin liners and gave them to a local model shop to give away or make-me-am-offer, I believe they all went in two weeks. Keep the Rotodyne it'll go well with your Bristol Freighter you previewed recently. The Airfix Graf Spee I'd bin right now, I've made three of them and each time I've been very disappointed I've even made the Academy one which made me so angry I binned it, I even had the Premium Edition that I gave away in the clear-out, not that the Trumpeter one's much better. the best one is still the very old Aroura one that depicted as she was before her refit. Keep the Zvezda Motorcycle & side car, if it's anything like the German one, it's a beautiful little kit and for a push fit it's quite frankly amazing. I was so impressed that I went out and cleared the shops stock. Great for dioramas. Thanks for the video, and have fun. Seasons greetings form Cape Town. JtP.
That graf spree is part built from 2005.. never finished it sadly.. i ight have a crack at it again one day but for now its full of annoyance and poor fitment
Fairey Rotodynes are a pure Gerry Anderson design
That heller sherman was my first build and a recent "try again build" its fantastic
My stash is built but they take up more room. Thanks for showing yours 👍
My completed are boxed away... must get them out sometime
Nice collection Mos. Nice to get to know you better on Corrines life channel. Looking forward to learning more about your hobby.
Thanks for coming
I almost get more enjoyment out of buying kits than I do building them lol
Ooo An airbrush with trigger & I spy'd a Shuttle ;-) Do they need a new home
I was given it by a car sprayer to see if I could use it on modelling. I will try it out next year
Interesting the wide variety of subject and scales you have. As a lad, I did 1/72 scale across a number of subjects, but now a return to modelling in my sixties has seen me stick to 1/35 scale, mostly AFVs and similar military subjects with a few diaoramas.
I've never done a diorama.. one for my bucket list

Wow quite the haul. The Airfix MGB was the first kit I ever made about 10 years ago. I still have it although it no longer has all its wheels!
I want to build it soon.. I have a friend who is doing up a MGB and i would like it to look like his.. he has yet to decide on the colour as he didn't like the gold/yellow finish it has already
@@MOS6510Models nice! I made the Aoshima version as a replica of my uncle's car earlier this year.
I'm coming late to this one but, ahem, this reminds me of a certain stash I have in my loft - except mine is a tad larger. I don't want to say how many in case 'er indoors comes across this message ;) Suffice it to say I think it's best described using the S.A.B.L.E acronym - Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy!! I've had around 400 kits in stash, including a dozen of vacuum forming... From 3 years I've decided to keep only the ones I really want to build, reducing the stock to 200! This madness started almost 20 years ago, buying at Ebay, local sells and other sites, although I've started as a child in 1977; now it became something rational, buying wisely and eventually selling too. I have about 350 assembled kits, most 1/72 planes but a bunch of other subjects are included.
Thanks for sharing!

@@MOS6510Models I gave up to the vacs too... I've built a resin for a friend and really don't want to do it again... 😄
A stash of 150 ? I'm 63 and my stash of unmade kits is well over 1,000. Plus I've got numerous Scalextric cars to build and repair, not forgetting my collection of Hornby Trains to repair as well as the carriages, goods wagons, buildings and figures to construct and paint for my layout. I've got no idea what 'boredom' is !
Thats amazing.. there is 220 up in storage that ive listed for sale.. but 1000 is amazing
My wife saw the extent of my stash last week. Suffice to say she said she won’t be buying me a kit for Christmas😭
Socks it is then.
That's why I never got married. Lol. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My partner has given up on complaining😅😴, even though half the garage and half the house are filled with kits etc... 😵💫😂

Only 150, that's peanuts. Not quite certain how many it is, but around 400 here I think.
I over did it and lost interest about 12 years ago. Just getting going again at the age
of 79. Several big Vacforms, oh dear they take several years if done with added detail
I might run out of time - will sell some soon.
I was a serious exhibitor once, taken models to exhibitions in France, Belgium and Germany.
A great hobby.
I do have another 250 up for sale in my warehouse.. but it would be great if you did a you tube video on your models you have shown at shows..

@@MOS6510Models As you'll have seen most of my UA-cam content is model railway stuff which obviously lends itself to video due to the movement factor. I'm useless with video editing and how can you do a teaching/showing thread with still photos. I'm a member of britmodeller and have the odd thread there showing stills of construction. At the moment it's a rare 1990's Ukrainian Mainstay A50/IL-76 1/72 vacuum formed kit ......If I can finish it, it's a challenge.
Never done to get viewings, but I'm up over 300 subscribers now. I'll link in, but static models on mine ?????
You missed the vintage Airfix Walrus!
I didn't know i had it!! shocking I Know
wow,nice stash
Nice to see the Airfix Fouga magister.. Have a soft spot for the Fouga.
One for the vintage classic range?

dont ever get rid of them!! give them to people who want to build them. its nice to look into your stash and find gems you dont remember buying and have been out of production for 30/40+years!!! oooold matchbox, frog, lindber, amt, esci and ever starfix!!!

I had the same problem.Trouble is, I get bored and start yet another kit. Then I found I had over 60 kits, half of which were in various stages of build.
I'd sell some , but end up replacing them with kits "I was actually going to finish building" - despite swearing to myself that I just would not buy any more.
Bit the bullet one day. Emptied the loft. Put all the kits on the patio and photographed them. I was determined to be brutal. Pull off the plaster in one go, as it were.Sold them as 4 separate lots.Made some cash - but ultimately lost a fortune !
Fast forward a couple of years. I've now got a shed. It's filled with new and half built kits.
It's some sort of mental dis-order. Like those hoarders you see on tv.
I can imagine my friend.. i don't really have a suggestion except try to finish one then the next one then the next one...

That's an almost insignificant stash, I must have around 50 times that easily, if you look at the volume...😉😂🤪.I do 1:35 and 1:32 and some 1:350 ships, so the boxes can be lot larger (e.g.Leopold, Atomic Annie) I never got the 1:35 Dora gun though, because A. it was a bit expensive🤑, B. it's 2 meters long when built... I do have a 1:72 one which is obviously half the size...
Hahaha.. My point was i dont think ill ever build them all.. :)
@@MOS6510Models Nor will I...🥲
I envy you. FANTASTIC COLLECTION👍👍
Thanks! thats only half of it too lol

hi mate,, this is what we are having done to the ceiling.. ua-cam.com/video/7SpEjIuSQn8/v-deo.html
Try storing them in 'piles' or a box of cars, another of Aircraft, another of Vehicles etc - a lot easier to see what you have then. Select what you want to work on then sell off the remainder. Easy.
I have to agree.. I need to thin it out.. Maybe get rid of some of the spitfires too lol

The intro is such a jam, great video btw
Glad you like it!
very cool stash sir
Thank you my friend.. Time to slim it down though
So you seeling them?😊
Can't have too many spitfire's from the elegant MK1 to beast of the mk21 they are fine looking birds(aircraft)
I've got over 150 Spitfires in various scales but mostly in 1/48 from the Prototype to the Mk.24/Seafire 47 plus the post war Spiteful and Seafang. I've also got the S6B Schnieder Trophy plane and the earlier 'failure' the Supermarine Type 334, the gull wing aircraft with the RR Goshawk engine.
I have to agree.. the choice is outstanding too.. plenty of versions for each mark from all manufacturers..
Nice collection bro
Thank you so much 😀
I have a slight bit of dicipline.. I get to 7 in the stash and build till I have 0
Can I have some of your Discipline please ?? Would make my wife very happy.. Problem is it takes 40 hours to build a kit and only 2 mins to buy one online or in a shop lol..

Nice stash - I wish I has half of what you had, You shouldn't keep them in the attic though. Moisture in the attic can make the plastic brittle.

I see airfix walrus over there .
Yes I must unbox it as a review and a future airfix vintage classic??
I have about 150 plus in the stash, all aircraft, which is about 100 more than the missus thinks.... I intend making all of them.
Haha.. It started as a small collection, but since i put a lock on the attic door she hasnt been up
You’re just as addicted as me 😂 but yes, you’re right that the Mistercraft Pzl37 is not great. I still think you should build it though 😂
I think thats why i just left it in the stash hahah
Maybe build the Airfix MiG-17
Its a great model..
Nice collection sir. I wanted a new Vulcan for Christmas as I only started building this year to help me and I love it but the wife said I have 3 other models in my loft stash so no chance. I think I would fear for my life if I had that many.😱😱😱😂😂😂

Isnt a attic very warm ?.
What does it do to styrene and decal sheets ?
Not really as yet as we need to foam between the rafters.. That said it moisture you need to be careful with with plastic and decals.. hence the condenser in the attic

I was given a sticker many years ago which said "He who dies with the most kits, wins...."... Not sure exactly what I will win but I am confident I am going to be the winner... Nearly 50 years of hoarding (and I do mean hoarding) means I have no idea how many of what I have nor where precisely it is but its something like 200+++ bankers boxes of around 10+ kits per box, almost exclusively 1/72 aircraft stashed in a very large, very unfloored, very difficult to get into, very difficult to move around in when I do succeed in getting up there, ...attic.. Do the maths.
I think I was 40 when I realised I had more kits accumulated than years left to build them in... a rather sobering event, I recall. Happily I soon got over it and began to seriously increase the stash after paying my mortgage off early and seemingly having nothing else to do with the money I used to give to Northern Rock each month 😆.
I'm currently having a stair fitted to the loft (rather than the dodgy fold-up ladder I currently use to take my life in my hands to scale vertically into the attic with at the moment) so I can more easily get up there. Also having it properly floored so I can better move around and get at the individual boxes which are perched hither and thither.
Since my recent retirement my wife has got me cataloguing, indexing & numbering the boxes (35 done so far on an Excel spreadsheet). There are two purposes behind this: 1. I'll know what I actually have where it is in the attic so when I see one on Ebay, I don't think "I know I have this somewhere.... but its easier to buy another one than go looking for it nup in that death-trap of an attic ..." and 2. so she can more easily market and sell the lot when I finally kick it (not for a long time yet, I hope. Happily I never has a sick day in 40 years and now I am retired, I am and planning to enjoy that state of health for another 40) and disappear over the horizon on a first class cruise paid for by my stash of models, decals, PE, resin and books ...... 🤣🤣🤣. Somehow she feels she in entitled to this cruise for putting up with me and my hobby for 32 years....
When you pass 1,000 kits in the stash, that's the time to take off the L Plates and call yourself a stash owner (or, more accurately, a sad git as my wife has just remarked whilst reading over my shoulder...😂😂😂).
what a wonderful story, thanks for sharing. I hope you can at least build a tenth of your stash, you have plenty of years to do it.. Have a fantastic chrismas and a blessed new year.. Enjoy your cruise, i would love to go on a cruise again but we tend to fly to destinations and go exploring
