It's sharper than any double-edged sword. May God protect you and bless your obedience and commitment to purity.

Good for you brother! If I understand what you are talking about, then I have gone through the very same thing before. What I will say is this; you cannot do it alone. Listen to what C.S. Lewis says in Mere Christianity:
"We may, indeed, be sure that perfect chastity--like perfect charity--will not be attained by any merely human efforts. You must ask for God's help. Even when you have done so, it may seem to you for a long time that no help, or less help than you need, is being given. Never mind. After each failure, ask forgiveness, pick yourself up, and try again. Very often what God first helps us towards is not the virtue itself but just this power of always trying again... The only fatal thing is to sit down content with anything less than perfection."
Whether you also take your struggles to a close friend or family member is up to you, but definitely not a bad idea (even if it seems weird) and it helped me A LOT. God bless, and feel free to ask me anything here if you want to.

Truthfully just knowing that multiple people are in this fight is reassuring because WHEN someone my age gets delivered the understanding that if God did it for them, he can do it for me is a beautiful thing man. I pray we all can overcome temptation, it's hard, but it's not impossible with God❤

So if you don’t believe on the finished work of Christ and you add to the gospel by trying to keep all of Gods laws then Satan will blind your mind to the truth. How do we know we are Born again ? 1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. What does that mean ? 1 John 3: 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God Our spirit is born again and is saved when we believe on the finished work of Christ . The wages sin pays is death to the flesh but our spirit will receive a new sinless body .

I am 19 years old and my life is now for Christ and Christ only. To other young men reading this: It is a necessity in the current state of the world that we all come together to work for His will in this world. This evil dark world. Please can we be the light that it needs because by a man’s actions you shall know if he is good or evil. This world is in desperate need of Christ’s love and we are called to perpetuate that love with the Holy Spirit. The world is on the brink of destruction and a total breaking down. So please, not for me and not for yourself, but for Jesus Christ please let’s work for good and not evil.

Nothing wrong with being an athlete, nothing wrong to build a business, nothing wrong to have influence and power, nothing wrong to lift 405 in a deadlift if Christ is your Lord and you are doing for His glory, we have a big purpose, God lift kings like David, David praised the Lord the all time even when he sinned, he turn back to the Lord. Love the Lord with all your heart and all your soul with the all strength, we need those mens.

@@dude9318 Doing something for Gods glory is being obedient to Gods will in the situation and giving God all the credit. And having thanks giving. In the secular mindset its done for our glory ie to exalty or benefit ourselves. As for Gods glory it is to exalt God and to do it for him. Thats how I understand it.

Im raising a 13 year old boy, and I always ahare with him to remind him that his greatest pursuit in his life is to pursue christ likeness, to become a man of honor and integrity a man after Gods heart, to become a man mighty in God for God and his glory. I'm one, but unfortunately, I've only found men who are selfish, controlling, and/or wishy-washy; but I have faith that I will find a man who knows what he wants and will treat me in a Biblical way, like I will for him. To make a long story short do some research on hypergamy, marriage rates, divorce rates, birth rates, and look to social media to see the current sentiment from both sexes on the current dating market. When I first heard Paul Washer speak; only then did I realise that I wasn’t a Christian!!! May God have mercy on me for the way I lived prior to my eyes being opened by this man. I am now 73 years old and my strength has almost gone, like Pastor Washer I too have a body full of metal and in pain daily for years and years as I expect Pastor Washer experiences daily. I thank God that I found this man! And I thank God that he is exactly what I needed and I am convinced that all Christians should hear Paul Washer preach. He doesn’t begin with a joke or try to make the congregation like him, no, he speaks the truth and it set me free after years of believing I was saved and a Christian, he showed me how wrong I was! So, Pastor Washer, thank you from the bottom of my heart that you obeyed God and preach a no frills message! May God bless you and your family and keep you safe. I encourage all young men to workout and be physically strong. That is part of being a man if you are able bodied. I agree with most of what Paul said. But to discourage young men from working out is wrong.
If a young man joins the military, law enforcement, or becomes a fireman they will be forced to workout out in the training portions of that career field. A man should be physically strong to defend those whom he loves.

I agree young men should put themselves through some sort of physical exertion activity. But remember to remind them to humble themselves as Christ stated. Because vanity, pride, ego can start to creep in more… considering the culture and influence today. They are very much susceptible to that. So constantly denying themselves is essential.
Working out is not natural. This whole gym thing exists only for a decade. Learn to built a house , have a garden , carry water , walk instead of using a car that’s enough . No one needs to lift man made metal.

I’m really glad CSL saw this. I hear too many of these guys saying to be a man is to “stop playing video games and to get out there and do something!” Completely missing the actual essence of childish things.
@@joshuashepard583 yea, on the other hand, men these days(myself included) don't need as much help with tapping into their inner child as they do maturing. There are ebbs and waves in the culture and we are at a point where childishness is considered a virtue. I believe that the maturity is what purifies and causes the inner child to reflect God. For your inner child to die is a tragedy and for your inner child to run wild is a tragedy. Every man has a parent child relationship within themselves. For each, one is easier than the other. If I can't sit down and play a game with family, laughing and joking around free from self consciousness, I have killed the inner child. If I can't put entertainment aside to serve God, my family, and others, I have let the inner child abuse itself. Personally, I have more trouble with the second one. And when I fail in that way and let guilt creep in, even the former suffers. I had a mentor who would tell me to think only about work during work so that when work was over I could stop thinking about it. A lack of balance is torture.
Agree. Maybe it’s a part of why this guy always looks so miserable. He connects with only a part of Jesus: the man of many sorrows well aquatinted with grief as if that defines the whole aim of a man.

17 I trust in the Lord i have doubts sometimes and it scares me sometimes thoughts like, “you’re not truly saved.” But I know these aren’t my thoughts I know the Lord knows my heart I believe and I try to obey him and seek him if I fail (i will) I get back up always get back up read his word ask him to help my faith grow and to seek him more, I hope I never lose sight of the Lord I don’t want that at all even if I doubt I know the Lord is with me always even if I can’t feel him sometimes I do get scared I do fear but I know it’s the devil in my ear trying to get me to steer from the Lord I will not! You have the privilege of seeking God from a young age, use it wisely. Make a commitment like studying the Bible daily, then gradually increase the time you spend reading the Bible. You'll soon find yourself stronger than ever. The most important time to study the word is in the morning, it'll be easy to resist temptation during the day
Putting to the flesh to death is a daily process that only you can do and it starts with taking EVERY THOUGHT captive to the obedience of Christ. Think about that for a moment. It means that you need to deal with EVERY thought that's contrary to the Bible. That and "dying daily in the flesh" is what will ultimately renew your mind and lessen your struggle. There's a reason God's grace INCTREASES as sin INCREAES and it's to allow Christians to renew their minds and learn how to put to death (daily) the desires of the flesh. For me what helped the most was reading Romans 6 and 8 at LEAST once daily and studying those 2 chapters. It's for good reason that Paul said, "I die daily."

Heb4:15 AMP "For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin."
I recommend you do this every single day and it will change your life. Get a copy of 'God's Creative Power Gift Collection by Charles Capps'. Bookmark all of the sections where there are paraphrased scripture and confess them out loud daily. If you can't get the collection, you can get second hand individual copies cheap.
Not many 14 year olds in history have had to fight the temptations you do today. I wouldn’t have done well with a smart phone at your age. I got rid of mine for a time and it helped a lot.
Also, if I could give myself advice at that age it would be to be very careful who I am friends with.
We men live in the world where everyone devalues men. Stay on track, work hard, put your faith in Jesus, and together we will see His grace. Stay strong my fellow men!
We need men who praise and live for God, but they should also be soldiers and warriors with great physical strenght and might.
26 years old and I've completely pulled out of society. I quit my last job about a year and a half ago because I was done being treated like I was incapable and unworthy and ignorant. I live at home with my parents and watch streams and youtube and play video games and help around the house and so on every day. we live in a failed society yet no one can see that because they all care only about themselves and are caught up in trying to impress everyone with their "accomplishments" and superficial possessions and so on. it seems like no one has a soul anymore not to mention a heart. no one takes me seriously because i have no desire to sell my character like a car salesmen and wear my faults on my sleeve instead of trying to conceal them. i cant get hired anywhere because I'm a white straight male with minimal work place experience in what i want to do and when i get side entry level jobs i cant retain them because either my anxiety disorder is conflated with incompetence or I'm viewed as too competent and a threat to the manager's job. there seems to be no place in this superficial society for someone like me and honestly I'm indifferent at this point because when you let it eat you up you either have a job and hate your life or you are unemployed and see yourself as a loser for not having a job. it is a vicious cycle that never ends and consumes and forces you to submit to it but also makes your soul sick.

Dude, I am 21, no work experience, live with my parents and just got an entry level remote job, there's literally no excuse, you can do it too. Being a bum won't necessarily solve anything. Besides if you got stuff you want to buy whose gonna buy it for you? I know that much. It's really not that hard at all, just try.
@@Asrajzz64 i get it you think you know it all because you are young and what not. I suggest to you to never take a break from working or you'll find yourself to be undesirable like me. You'll come to find out that employers would rather hire a young person with no experience than a 26 year old with plenty but no financial responsibilities. They will pick the person who has a kid or wife and what not even if they are incompetent. For example i applied for a job where my homie works for a metal casting rework grinding position. Perfectly qualified but i was denied the job and the dude they hired eventually got fired because he was incompetent and they are in the same boat as before. Understaffed and unable to hire and retain people because they themselves are incompetent and cannot discern who is right or not for the job and this is happening everywhere. Trust me I've tried enough to have given up. Im currently contemplating a fast food job at this point because no one else gives a shit about me. I tested for a 145 IQ 5 years ago yet can't get any mid level job that requires 100IQ. I wear my faults on my sleeve and people are afraid of that. They want someone who lies and sells their character like a junk car salesman.

Second this point. I'm an orchestra and piano instructor. I teach 5th through 12th graders. The music of video games is what got me to study music at the conservatory level. And I still play video games as I throughly enjoy the music and I get ideas for it when it comes to composing. Mostly the single player JRPG genre. And I'm active in my church and I'm a cross country coach. I'm very much independent, live below my means, and have zero debt. I'm just as much of a man as Paul Washer, but I don't live my life on his terms. God can use anyone, at any point in their lives whether a child or elderly, for his purposes.
If you're addicted to gaming, then it's a problem. Any kind of screens, for that matter. It used to be the news was something you would watch for 30 minutes in the evening and that was it.
I don't think the message is "Christians should never play video games", but if you're spending more than an hour a day playing with screens, that's a red flag.

Even IF women are more immature than men, we (the Men) still need to grow up and be manly in the character of God. Men are leaders, we are the ones who look after the women and protect them. Its more important that the men grow up and mature first. And you know what, i think if men start to be men nationally then women will, by the grace of our God, become womanly women.
I think it tears young men in half when people tell them to grow up but doesn't tell them how or shows them how by example, there's no condition or grooming boys to be men, some people just expect to happen naturally while at the same people like most single mothers steer them in the opposite direction with their behavior and the nonsensical ideas and advice they feed young men. That's what makes me believe that there is no such thing as a bad student/child there's a bad teacher/parent. Especially when some parents expect teachers to do all the teaching and the parenting when a lot of teachers will neglect the rotten apples being raised by toxic neglectful parents and the parents will lie out their asses and swear it's not them and claim they're doing their best which is the farthest from the true because single mother know how to lie and put on an act at will

And I'm getting sick of older men telling younger men they need a kick in the pants. I’m hoping next Sunday he did the same sermon directed towards women. Today 1 in 3 women have an std, are riddled with debt on head meds. It’s true we need men but it also says it’s not good for man to be alone and to be fruitful and multiply. If pastors are too cowardly to call out womens sin well you’ll get more of what your getting which is no reason to man up whether you like it or not. That being said I do agree that you need to get right with God regardless of the opposite sex and live in truth.

Seems like a bad take, usually I enjoy Paul Washer but Jesus said to convert and become like little children in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. He didn’t say become like men. Shaming some dude for playing a video game or any games for that matters seems incorrect. Many men play games, live life, and have the joy of Christ in their hearts. I play video games and Christ knows I’d gladly die for Him today in this hour. I help and love my neighbors whether they live next door or are homeless. Setting your heart on Christ should mean you’ll love your enemies, love your neighbors. Bible tells you the point over and over in Job 28:28 and Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 and even Jesus says if you love him and were his friend you’d follow the commandments.
I dunno “men” instead of growing up maybe grow down so you can believe like a little child and have joy and friendship in your hearts grow down to be like a little child so you’ll buy that homeless person you see daily a new pair of shoes, a belt and a meal. Take it a step further and befriend the homeless person and give them your phone number and help them get to medical appointments. I’d rather stay like a little child and do my best to continue hearing the gospel than become some “man” ready to be eaten by a lion as we know the devil is as a roaring lion waiting to devour.

As a man of God who not only plays games but also helps those who are emotionally hurt and someone who cannot go in the work Force who is disabled I use video games to help bring people to God whether it's streaming playing with others or just sharing the gospel or just explaining more about the Bible this whole demonizing of video games is annoying I'm not going to lie there are some games that are questionable such as rated R games which I myself used to play in the past which I don't anymore but I do not let video games control my life I used to not take my faith seriously before but now I am ever since I lost my ex-fiance because she broke up with me you can say what is a man all you want but it's funny to me that no one sticks up for the people who are disabled who are the young men who can't really work like normal men as long as I'm doing the work of God whether it's playing games and sharing the gospel we're helping my mother do anything that's in the house I've been like this for 25 years going on 26 if you were to ask me what is a man a man is someone who's willing to follow God cherish his family and at the same time do what he can to help. Before men go into missions, they need to be men in their own households. How many Christian men won't even led their own families? It forces you to the idea of being calm in stressful fights, taking the time to not rush into anything and treating every enemy with focus, it not something you can idly play. And I think that really good in a modern game. As opposed to something that just has flashy lights.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. And what is good about the Lord? His ways, among other things. Are we given the Son but not His ways? Who told you the Lord is so lacking in His gift? I say much of this to rebuke myself. I fall into habitual sin. Is not the cutting off of sin a work? And is it not a gift? And is it not a promise? "He is just and faithful to cleanse us of all unrighteousness"
