For anyone on PC who misses games like this, there is the Sinden light gun.
I own one and think it's a good product, but with the following caveats:
The relative expense
Needs additional software to run
It's not plug-and-play (you need to set up the light gun correctly)
Puts a white border around your screen during gameplay (the sensor is actually just a webcam)
Other than that it really good. There's a model with recoil and an optional foot plate for games like Time Crisis. It's not so troublesome to set up (there are tons of guides) and it works with emulated games too. There's no added hardware (sensor bars, etc), just plug in via USB A and it works with all modern displays, including OLED.
I played all Time Crisis with the mouse and even then its still tons of fun 😅

This, Jurassic Park, and The House of the Dead were the only arcade games I ever really wanted to sink my tokens into (even though it was basically a dollar a credit at the time). Was so excited when it came to PS2 consoles

I used to play this all the time at the county fair when it was in town. The amount of quarters I pumped into this game was unsurpassed. Still looks as fun as it did back then, along with House of the Dead, CarnEvil, and others 😊

Me too. But eventually I became so good to the point I can finish it with 1 coin. Time Crisis 1 was harder and took me 2 coins to complete the game. Of course after spending so many to git gud 😂
I miss rail shooters like this lol these were fun games. House of the dead!!

I had this on PS2 with two Namco Guncons. Lightgun is the only way to play this turkey at a key point.
