- Create your own custom phrases to start your favorite Flows. You can do this by setting up your routines on Google Home. These allow you to use any phrase you want to control your smart home. Making life just that little easier for us Homey users.
Alway's wanted to say "Hey Google, It's a little dark in here", and have Homey automagically open up your curtains, and turn on your lights? Well, it's possible with the improved integration between Homey and Google Home!

Google Routines FIX:
1. Check your assistant language settings
- Assistant Settings - Languages - (in my case) English (UK)
2. Set your devices region to match the main language preference
- iOS - Settings - General - Language & Region - Region (Set this to match your preferred language) - English UK
3. Re-install the Google Home App

Can you use this with advanced flows?
Help if i am wrong here, but when i have multiple (family) users in Google Home, they can not share routines, which means i would have to create every routine for every user, correct?
Hi, great video. I still don´t understand what to use to trigger a flow like "leaving home" in Homey App? What to write in "When"? The flow will be later chosen as favorite and synced with google and used within the Google Home App to trigger as you showed.
Hey Rozh, you can just use the 'This Flow Started' card. When > Add Card > Flows > This Flow started. That creates a Flow that can be manually triggered. :) Hope that helps.

Hello i’m interested in buying homey. I would like to know if i got homey do i still need the bridge for my philips hue lights? And i also got a ikea rollerblind will i need the ikea bridge to control it with homey?
Hey Alain, In the case of Philips Hue lights, it is recommended to use the Hue bridge for the best experience. For Ikea devices like the rollerblinds or lights, you will not need the Ikea bridge. Most other gateways / hubs will also no longer be required, Homey can connect directly with most brands & devices. For more info on the Ikea App for Homey check out: homey.app/a/com.ikea.tradfri/
Is this outdated? The favorite flows don't show up in the scenes section of Google Home. Thx for any suggestion.
Homey has been added to Google Home, all devices are synced, have added Favorite Flow to Homey but no scene opportunity appears in Google Home under Adjust home devices?
Hey Tommy, make sure to 'sync your devices' after you've selected your favorite Flows. This should make them available as adjustable scenes under 'Home Devices'. If that's still not working, please reach out to our customer support team via support.athom.com/
Great Video and thanks for sharing again. But for heaven's sake, do take note that your video WILL trigger our Google Assistants!! Just lower the volume on the wake word if you can't be bothered to do an edit.
Hey Benny, I added a quick warning at the beginning of the video to indicate that wake words are used. Muting / covering the wake words really distracts from the overall video, however I do get your point, and we will see if we can find an elegant way to avoid wake words.

@@homey no, its more distracting that you activate all of our speakers... mute the “hey” in “hey google” and write it on the screen... every other youtuber Can manage this, so Can you 😂
In addition to my last comment: Unfortunately it looks like it is better to not use the Google Home family function at all when Homey comes into play. It seems like conflicts/connectivity issues are happening in the background. When i do not use the Google Home family function and connect every user independently to Homey, everything works fine.

If only Google could choose particular Homey devices, because it always syncing everything. I use other services and do not want to duplicate devices in Google 🤔 that is why i am not using Homey with Homey
Why does a flow have to be a favorite to sync with Google? Wouldn't it be better if all flows were synchronized?
Hey Sebastian, many Homey users have lots (often 50+) of Flows. In order to streamline the integration, we use Favorite Flows as the Flows that are sync'd. Often 70%-80% of Flows are autonomous, it would not make sense to have these sync'd with Google (Eg. Remote control Flows, Energy Flows, Activity based Flows etc...)

Hey, you can now auto-translate captions to any language, including Dutch. Since the style of video is quite clear, the captions are pretty accurate 95%. :)

C'mon, why do we all - if we have a Google home - have to play a video, just cuz you said so? Edit the video so we can't hear "Hey Google", others can do that!
