NZs entire population is smaller than most international cities. Yet we have small groups of both middleclass white liberals and Māori trying to divide us into warring racist factions. All these small noisy groups noticeably have their hands out for lots of that capitalist generated cash. I thought skin colour, gender or sexual orientation wasn't meant to be a determination of intelligence or success but it sure scores highly on the perceived victimhood scoreboard.

A problem we have in ending all this bs is all the catering that has been done towards Maori has given them the impression it is a right of theirs to have special status, privileges, and consideration that other Kiwis don't have, so they feel the gov is removing something that they think is rightfully theirs, they have no understanding that it is not their rights being taken away, rather it is privileges being taken away, privileges they should never been given. That is why most of these radicals think there's a just cause, some of the leaders know the truth but don't care and keep filling the heads of others with nonsense for their own gain. All this to say, there will have to be blood spilled to finish this as they are ideologues, and nothing less will do it, it will be them who spill the first drop, and only then will they realize just how much they overreached,. @@jwatstom Dreams are free, Maori swore allegiance to the Crown, and made it sovereign, so it is in fact the other way around if the truth be known. AND that is exactly what Maori asked the crown for, sovereignty and the consequence of protection, because NZL had turned into the Hell Hole of the Pacific after the Maori started killing each other for 20 plus years in the musket wars, killing 20 000 of their own in a hell hole genocide. Only Maori have not upheld their part of the Treaty at all for the protection the crown gave them baring their arse to the Queen and not recognising sovereignty rests with the crown. The English are owed a huge apology from Maori for protecting them and making them the wealthiest people on earth in 1958, not to mention doubling their life expectancy, if the God honest truth be known cobber. Give a man a fish and he will not be hungry for a day, teach the man to fish and he will not be hungry ever. It is time the handouts and protection from the English Crown stopped, and Maori learned to pull their own weight in the world, or perhaps we will keep them weak by feeding them and making them dependent as they are now. Your call Maori. Your call. Have you got what it takes, or are you still struggling to invent the wheel, or the bow and arrow? Your call!
Maori leadership are the only ones breaching the Treaty, by rewriting it in favour of themselves, despite it's true goal of favouring all. I always find it interesting that certain types say the honor Maori and their mana then push a narrative that the chiefs of that time were dumb and fooled by the worldy euros, rather than agnologing the truth that they were not dumb and not fooled but rather made the taking over of nz by the crown a reality for their own benefit, something today's Maori still reap benefit. Talks of mis interpretation are none sense, there Was already a Maori dictionary in other country's by 1840, many spoke English and many euro spoke Maori, with many tribes. You an those like you should hop off your high horse and give the chiefs of old the mana they deserve for what they accomplised by giving up sovereignty. This who also claim that it is just whiteys opinion also know nothing about 1860 and the meeting to ratify the treaty by the chiefs, there own words speaking of the queen as sovereign over all other chiefs in nz. @@louiscarnachan3608 Maori asked the Crown for protection from the Hell Hole in the Pacific that they created for themselves, and ceded sovereignty to the Crown to get that protection, otherwise the Crown would not have provided the protection Maori were looking for. It is the second oldest game in town "Sure we will protect you, but we will also then control you". The oldest game in town is Prostitution, the two are closely linked of course. That is the principal of the Treaty. Now Maori want to change that by twisting the meaning, saying they never ceded sovereignty at all, when clearly, in black and white, they did. The protection was given and still is given by The Crown. Hence the Crown made Maori the wealthiest people on earth only 120 years after the Treaty was signed, doubled their life expectancy, gave every Maori the right to own land, gave every Maori the right to vote for its leadership, regularly, stopped Maori slavery, stopped polygamy and so on - never before in all of human history has so much been achieved for a group of people than what was achieved for Maori by The Crown, let alone in such a short time frame. As a indication of thanks Maori are now trying to steal the Country back for themselves by breaking the Treaty whilst exclaiming Honor The Treaty = a cunning attempt at Projection, which is accusing you of doing to them what they are actually doing to you = Narcissism = mental illness. Research it. Consequently, and because Maori ceded sovereignty, it is the Crown that decides who can be here NOT Maori, but the Crown. Is that easier to understand...? If not may I suggest "Rambling On My Mind" by Eric Clapton on Just One Night Double Album, an excellent version that should be relief. Another product of The Crown.

There are more Maoris here now than there were before colonialisation. Surely that is enough to keep the language alive if they can be bothered. They don't need us.
4:38 I attended the Hui-a-motu, it wasn't for Tainui to get other iwi onto their side and endorse them. It was a gathering of ideas and positions, even opposing ideas and positions. Some said their main focus was on cleaning their own backyard first. Some even voiced their hatred for the gang culture that Māori have taken up. Some voiced their iwi or hapu's focus was to maintain their Te Reo, no mater who was in government. Don't assume it was only just a conglomerate of people who hate the government. Some even questioned why did it take this coalition to bring Māori together. I even think the Act Party should take credit for doing that.

@@MercmadVery astute observation... extremism will not bode well for average or grass roots Maori.
The thing I want gone is the tax payers paying for Maoris perceived issues when it involves lawyers, everyone else has to fund their own.
What makes you think taxpayers are paying for this.Maori are worth 70 billion dollars. Maori are paying for it themselves.
As long as Maori pick up the bill for all this stuff, including the never ending court cases, more power to their elbow. It's when their activities are funded by the majority mandate they kick against, I become unhappy.
If Maori lose the court cases, then absolutely they should have to foot the bill - as this is the usual process. If they win, then unfortunately to some the side that loses will have to pay.
@giovannisheh2270 I agree, as long as these are cases bought in the courts of law we all have to use. If they are outside the mainstream and exclusive, I don't agree that the general tax payer should be liable.
Of course Maori are paying for it. Ppfftt
Because nobody really cares about this weekend to be honest let's have a vote on this and our tax payers money being spent on this weekend rubbish
Its not coming out of tax payers money ......did you say that about that stupid flag vote the gov had wasting $56 million? That could of gone to all of our childrens schools or something useful for this country
Hi nobody. What makes you think tax payers are paying for it
I remember when there was the argument that some Maori didn't want the Maori language used in the main stream. Cause they had to live up to the high mana of Maori. A clear path has to be made on how change will be made to suit all NZ if change is to happen. It's funny how they are fighting the up hill battle in theses times..... They do
Needs to be remembered that all the Iwi groups operate their various businesses and commercial property assets under the umbrella of charities, meaning they pay no tax.
I've read that the tribal entities pay 17.5% income tax, whereas business tax is 28%, so they've got a race based privilege. Ok for a while but it should revert to 28%.
most if not all are using charity status to pay no tax@@rod-contracts1616

This has been coming for 40 years and it's the first time they've been seriously confronted. Stay staunch Shane!
Lots of litigation $$$ for politically exposed lawyers & elite, in other countries, these types go to jail or have endless tax audits for AML issues.
Absolutely disgusting behavior from maori and the maori party
New Zealand is a tiny country with a small number of Maori as part of the population. However politics levels out their desires in favour of the majority of people vote for.
@@pgreen8531 No. You can't generalize the term Māori like that. there are plenty of people who are both Māori and New Zealanders.

Maori have to remember they are barely 11% of the population which they say will push for the continual extensive use of Te Reo .... what they have to realise is that the majority of our 5 million citizens of NZ have voted overwhelming for change and are prepared to push back on Maori to see that this does not happen. We demand our democracy and demand to be one equal people with equal rights. The country cannot afford to indulge the activist gravy trains of Maori any longer. Te Reo has cost the country many billions of dollars that could have well been used for the betterment OF ALL OUR SERVICES for all our people...e.g. up grading and sorting out hospitals, improving medical facilities, education facilities... right across the board to improving the road networks to get the country moving again - So much revenue has been swallowed up by the over indulgence of Te Reo which is only relevant to such a tiny percentage of the country....and now we have to have a government which governs for all citizens of NZ and not just the tiny, bullying and vicious, activist groups. They shade under the tree of the majority they seek to cut down.
Yes how many Maori achieve
You lot have got away with not knowing anything for sometime now but the free ride is up, best you educate yourself on true documented history (by both sides) or continue to expose yourself as ignorant and not worthy of attention. @@jwatstom
@@paulmeersa7162try make one point because you’re not making sense. It’s just rambling.
Maori have their own TV channels and radio stations that non Te Reo speakers cannot understand so why do they want the bloody news and programs on the general english TV and radio to be smattered with the Reo, shut up moaning listen to your own stations

This treaty up roar was a well orchestrated plan by Tūheitia, Tuku and Te Pāti Māori. TPM never had the full backing of our people in the election and the results proved that and Luxon ruled them out with a coalition. So with Te Pāti Māori in opposition with no seat at the top table they knew if they used Seymours treaty principles bill as bait they'd be able to trigger and manipulate our people to go against the government and boost there party support while doing it, this is nothing but a divide and conquer strategy.
