I had to subscribe ! Your demos serve Kyle and anyone who looks for a killer grinding tight high gain tone ! Just looking for the right cab and right speakers other than KSRs cause they are not available where I live. I'm after the same tone you got here ! Cheers !
Oh man! The Ultra Lead is one of my favorite amps ever! I regret selling mine. I will have another someday. But yeah, the two together could rule third word countries.
Love your channel man. It’s basically become an amp buying guide for me. I’ve been thinking about an Ares lately, but recently found a deal on a 50 watt Peters Halo/Vega/FSM. I know you used to run Peters a while back. How would you compare them to this Ares, if that’s even a fair comparison. Thanks for the killer content!
spy590 I appreciate the kind words brother! The Peters are really good amps. Ultimately the KSR stuff is voiced slightly meaner from what I’ve experienced. Not by much but enough for me to say so. If you can get a good deal on the Vega/FSM then go for it. I owned both of those channel designs and they are really good. The Peters build quality is also top notch. If you are looking for all out brutal then go KSR.
TheSubmanCometh Thanks for the info, bro! I’m leaning KSR-the idea of a somewhat compact single channel design seems appealing compared to the multi-channels I already have. All the voicing options are just gravy! Maybe I’ll check out the newer Peters channel designs when I’m ready to go for another 3 channel switcher.
spy590 no problem! Yeah, you really can’t go wrong with any of the KSR. I’ve owned all of them but the Artemis and the Juno. My Juno is almost done though! 😂
On a serious note. Most of Kyle’s creations do sound good at lower volumes. I just have the luxury of playing at band volume all the time. So I abuse my ears whenever I can.
MEMYSELFNUTUBE thank you! My settings are fairly extreme. Gain 2 o’clock. Treble 1 o’clock. Middle 2:30. Bass 3:00. Top 2:30. Bottom 3:00. Fat switch up. Voice down. Bright down. This amp doesn’t fall apart at those settings. KSR makes a bad ass amp for sure!
Ulf Särnblom thank you for the kind words! I feel the KSR stuff is more versatile. You can get a tone of different tones from them. The KSR amps sound more open in the mids verse Diezel. I hate to say more organic but I will. 😁 The Diezels tend to be more compressed but I don’t mind that at all. Both companies make great amps but at the end of the day I prefer KSR. 50-100w? I prefer 100w. They just have more of a punch to the chest in my opinion.
@@TheSubmanCometh Thanks for the reply man, I can relate to what you mean about the Diezels. I've come to a fork in the road, where I have to choose between the Diezel Einstein with a KSR Ceres or to just get an Orthos. And I'm struggling a bit, it's expensive to import amps from the US to me in Sweden, so it's quite expensive. But I'm soooo GASing for a KSR!

My favorite speakers right now are an X pattern of Celestion Redbacks and Celestion 75w Creambacks. That has been my favorite combo for some time now.
Shit that roars! I have an Ares with 6550s. Monstrously dark but clear. Killer video and riffage!
Mean as hell!! I think it will be great KSR and Fryette UL run together. I want to try someday :)

Dam that playing. Just killer
Thank you Brother!
What string gauge and tuning do you play in?

TheSubmanCometh Looking forward to that Juno video!
spy590 I’ll be sure to do one! 😂
Brutal!
Can you get a decent bedroom tone out of this? Rather, is it hard to get it to be quiet?
I’ve heard you can but I have never tried. 😂
@@TheSubmanCometh do you happen to know what DB level you're playing at in this clip? Or what you usually play it at?

@@TheSubmanCometh got it!
@@mattwilliamsonguitar Nice!!!
How would you compare this amp to something like a soldano hot rod?
Thomas Stankiewicz Hey Thomas, it’s really close but this amp sounds more modern and has more options. I do love Soldano tone though!
Which one you prefer Ares vs Gemini? And why if possible.
Ares, orthos, and Gemini have the same preamp section. Ares has the least options and the Gemini has the most.
Badassnessity! What are your settings on that fire breathing menace?

Is this Master 1 or 2? So sick
Erik Truss thanks bro! It was master 2
Same settings for your Gemini?
TheSubmanCometh what transformer is in this KSR?
The S Geez!
Rooster 7six 50 watts of wholesome goodness brother. 🤘💀🤘
Hey man, great stuff!
How would you compare the KSR to the Diezel?
Is the 50W vs the 100W very noticeable?

Ulf Särnblom hahaha! Too many great amps to choose from!
No boost ??
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Nope, no boost just straight in.
