Aww you dog wanted some love from his dad, he don’t care if you’re working or not, unconditional love no matter what. Killer baritone Kyle, I think you need to bring that one out more often, sounds so good with the Juno amp, love those chrome pickup covers too. Hope you’re doing great Kyle. I’m happy to always watch a video from you when I get home from work every day. Thank you Kyle
You ran into the same thing I did with mine. An overdrive doesn’t really do much for the KSR stuff. I don’t think they need it honestly but I thought maybe it was just my amp. Glad to see I’m not the only one . Killer amp though. Really takes low tuning like a champ too
Good to see you mixing up your content coverage and recording setting. I’m sure it’ll keep things more exciting in the long run not just for you but for viewers as well.
One thing I can say is that this amp has a pretty unique voice...it sounds like they managed to get the vibe of a Plexi and a Mesa together. I like it! I hope they either send me one to review or they make a plugin that I can try!
This definitely one of the videos I have been waiting for from you Kyle. I saw a video I think from ksr you tube channel about the Juno and I was like woah 😮.
Bright switch should always be on except possibly in the Clip mode where it can get too Fortin-y in the mids. Leave the Top around 3:00 and Bottom around 12:00. Cut the mids back a little below 12:00 and boost it slightly just to get the bottom tighter. Play it through a Mesa 4x12.
Love my KSR Orthos 100 MKII with 6550s, it's aggressive as fuck and that feel switch is the key to fine tuning your high gain tones. I mostly play seven strings, and it pairs really well with low tunings.
498T and 490R pickups are very flubby on their own so they are not helping the flub. I also find the Les Paul studio in general to be a very low mid heavy guitar with a fair bit of flub. I have a Bonamassa Gold top studio and its very low mid heavy and has the vowel cocked wah sound on the low mids .
Sooooo.. You got back the Peavey XXL?!?!! I was thinking of selling mine the other day but plugged it in tonight and now it's never leaving the studio. Killer demo btw!
I've a/b'd the Juno against an Ares and the Juno stayed. The thing with the Juno is that you have to crank the presence all the way to get that high end bite. If you turn it back even a bit, it gets annoyingly dark and muffled.
Did you ever "get along with this" amp. Man, Im just not getting the tones I heard on the web. It doesnt take ODs well, and mine doesnt simply have the gain I thought it would. Ive never heard a bad word about KSR amps, but man, im disappointed in my purchase. Im paying to have it sent back to KSR to have it gone through.
I never really dug ksr amps. Had a Orthos 2 and it just sounded really bland to me. But another band that I played with their guitars uses one and he sounds killer with it.
Not getting the sound you want? Just beat on it like the Fonz. Aaaaay! No, don't beat on your new amplifier. That low end though, whew Idk about this one. Much better when you switched guitars. The clang is definitely there. \m/

I just cracked for no reason when the dog showed up.
Lower tuned guitar was it man! 100%

Sounds good, looking forward to the full video on it.
KSR amps have their own unique character and voicing. I really like 'em.
The reversed pickup selector on the LP studio messes with my OCD, Oh and also "Go to hell Kyle"!! (love ya)

That baritone sounded sick!

I would also add using a Creamback M Creamback H mix for speakers seems to tighten these amps up and gives them more low end and low mid Clarity .

Awesome. There aren’t enough videos on ksr amps.
Could you do a vid on the Colossus? That'd be much appreciated.
KSR! If you get a chance to try out an Orion it would be excellent to hear your take
More demos like this please with initial reactions.
Dig these videos a lot

I noticed you said it sounded thick with the Les Paul but I did notice one thing you have the toggle switch in the up position….
some one didn't watch the whole viidddeeeooooo
*5 seconds of silence* “I don’t know if you guys heard…” actually no I did not

I had to do the same with the presence when I owned the Gemini.
Gotta play with the feel knobs my dude!
I think it rips… especially with the espada
Decent it reminds me of VHT pitbull gain.
The Juno is definitely on the drier side of the gain spectrum similar to the pitbulls
You beat me to that amp
You on the neck pup>?

It would be hilarious if I actually bought this same exact amp since I bought it used.
Why I am just finding out there’s a second channel😢

You have to really give it the volume then it wakes up
Wow. Does KSR know how to make a bad product?! It’s like everything he releases just completely slaps.
Dont ever get married, shes gonna sell all your shit to make room for a sectional and chase lounge...while your at work...
It's punchy AF
Dry and a bit lifeless like other KSR amps. They have a funny high mid hump that just sounds weird
