This is such an awesome channel. Just starting to digest all of this. It’s a great car ride podcast to keep your mind learning about a very complex and interesting topic, especially when you have a very long daily commute. Thanks for all the hard work, Laszlo!
Ten years this has been hanging out there and only now does someone correct me. Thank you JMFT for that. I'm going to be re-recording this one and will re-release it with the correction. Once again, I thank you.
Dear Laszo,M Dear Laszo, M ,Zhong Yao died 230 AD, and the great general who deseased defending the Capital Chang’an during the attack was on june 312,this great general was a Sikong (Minister of work) ;my modest rechearches make me think of several Sikong of the western Jin ruling Family Sima, most of them were Sikongs : Sima yan prince of Wu d.311 ,Sima Mou prince of Gingling d .311,Sima Mo prnce of Nanyang d.311 ,the great general Wang Yan was not from the ruling family but was a Sikong and killed by Shi Le on 311 AD. And many others ,but all of them died before 312 AD. I have not find any Sikong died on 312 ,except Sima Zhi ate of born and death unknpwn ,but i think he was not sikong. Thank you
Another excellent podcast. May I ask how or where do you get such detailed historical data. Do you research Chinese archives and read old Chinese records? If so, you're incredibly skillful in Chinese.
Awsome! Thank you. General Wang Yan (Western Jin) was captured and killed by Shi Le during the disaster of YongJia (311). There was an other attack on June (312), (YongJia the sixth) on the Cpital Chang'an. As i can not read chinese, i can not do recherches, can you or somone tell the name of the great general deceased definding the Chang'an City during this attack ( June (312). Thank you
