Wanli emepor turn away from governing because of the succession crisis(国本之争) absence from daily briefing was his way of protest against the bureaucrat that try to force him to name his first son as crown prince, Wanli emepor still very active during his 3 great military campaign
The Wanli emepor is bascially the Nikocado Avacado of the Ming dynasty。
I had to go lookup who Nicocado was, I see the resemblance but why else is Wanli the Ming's version of N.A.?
@@ChinaHistoryPodcast Nikocado use to be a very freindly and fun UA-camr and mukbanger. But now, he just crys about his body and sometimes goes rage mode in his videos. The same is also said for the Wanli emperor because he use to be this leader that pays a lot of attention to his minsters but then also goes into rage and quits his duty. Plus, Nikocado Avacado has transformed from skinney to obese because of his diet changes and same too for the wanli emperor but maybe not from skinney.
@@ChinaHistoryPodcast Oh yeah, do you know any Chinese emperors that are ripped?
