Just the title alone, Caucasian sounds offensive especially if you consider it’s in Russia, it’s a dual mountain, it has dark origins, and african Americans have the same abuse going on. I am a millennial who went to high school in northern Michigan in the year 2000 and we had 700 people in my graduating class. I think maybe five of them were black. We lived in a community that did except a lot of migrants to work in the Cherry orchards so we did have a very large Hispanic community and we also had a reservation nearby so there were quite a few natives. Our school Top notch funding. And lo and behold we had an entire group of boys who were on the football team who would put American flags and Confederate flags on the back of their trucks and parade around the school. I happened today a Hispanic man for 2 years and the stuff they said to me.... I grew up in a racist town. A town that used to celebrate diversity in a very hilarious way because a lot of the people in town were absolutely against diversity and would literally throw fits because the idea of our town being known as a welcoming place that accepts all ideology is very threatening to them

I dont know i went to a small country school and was in class with 9 other kids all white, theres probably 2 black kids, 9 or 10 other kids including myself who are native but everyone else was white, pretty shitty school, but im saying all this to say sometimes it has to do with location, Government funding, how the staff and administrators choose to spend the funds. Its not black and white all the time (no pun intended)

I would have preferred going to a local school with peers from my all Hispanic neighborhood. There was no benefit to going to a school with racist students of every race, ethnicity and socioeconomic level. Good intentions but hard pass!

It isn't so much a race issue as a financial one; although racism does/has affected income. Kids are sent to schools based on where they live; and taxes pay for schools. Poorer areas are going to have poorer schools. Since people of color are much more likely to be poor, and thus live in poorer neighborhoods, their kids wind up in poor schools. Even if you divert money to poorer schools (good luck), you can't force teachers to teach there. The fact is that good teachers don't want to work in those districts. One, because the pay is less; and two, because poor kids have more behavior issues. So unless we want to institute a draft (like sports) for teachers, and contract them so they cannot quit, much of the problem doesn't get solved.
I went to district 51 schools in Colorado my entire life and did not learn anything around them or for them or from them , it was really only a few teachers which may god rest ones souls and may the others live happily I had literally forced my school to make me work with their it technician because I was already smart enough to repair computers at the age of 15 , yet we had no technology or resources for me to use any of that information or knowledge to anything so I shut down and got depressed and did nothing even more commonly Will covid-19 come around and I felt like I needed to actually start working And my school gave me a laptop to try to work on school stuff Well.. I ended up being completely removed from district 51 systems completely and I'm now trespassed from thier properties I was trying to turn in my work but they wouldn't turn in because the internet from my household was not good And now I'm having to go fight to get a GED while uneducated Yet im also working on a entire interplanetary capable ship prototype Where the f*** am I supposed to go how the f*** am I supposed to get my education? I'm sorry, but that "show me the good kid show me the bad kid" test is absolutely rigged. By ordering the children in a gradient it is subtly implied that the kids are pre-ordered by levels of goodness, and that the extremes are opposites. Since the girl is most likely to choose a the kid that resembles her as a "good" kid, i.e. one extreme of the scale, she is pretty much led to choose the other extreme as the "bad" kid. It's a bit manipulative and disingenuous, even if it's meant to be in service of a noble cause.
John couldn't be more wrong here. In Jacksonville, I went to private catholic schools for my 6th-10th grade years, which were nearly free of blacks. In the recession, my dad took a pay cut and public school was it for me for my final 2 years of high school. Change was to be anticipated, but my God, the difference was appalling. There were entire classes I had that were little more than daycare for 16-year-olds. Zero instruction for weeks and weeks. I started leaving school in my car and going home last period every other day after taking roll. I ended up with a B & C in that class. Was never there. Teacher was oblivious to this. Black students were in so many cases uninstructive. Being loud, obnoxious, ruining the chance for teachers to instruct or for others to learn. They had a denigrating affect on everyone across the board. Some relief I found in my one AP class, but this was little consolation. Test scores from before segregation to now paint a similar picture. Whilst black test scores are up by a small amount, white student test scores are way down. Big time. For what its worth, funding was by no means the issue. If anything, the public schools got more money per student than the Private schools did. It would have been unthinkable for the catholic schools to have full-fledged automotive programs (which were seldomly used but equipped for comprehensive automotive repairs including auto body). For 13% of the population to have improved their test scores by a small amount for the majority of the population's children to have taken a significant decline in their test scores does not seem like a wise idea. People say that experiencing other races is important.... that it prevents racism. For myself it did the exact opposite. Being surrounded by large numbers of these people made me see them for what they are. Enjoy your day everybody ~
The racial bias test taken by the little girl was ironically itself biased. When the person asked her to point to the good child, she pointed to the racially ambiguous child in the middle. However when the person asked her to point to the bad child, she pointed to the black one. This doesn't mean that she has a bias against black people, stories throughout human history have used a dark colors to refer to things that are bad, humans are naturally afraid of the dark because bad things come out at night such as tigers and bears. This is basic evolutionary psychology, it's why almost every horror novel starts out with "a dark and stormy night." I would've liked the person to ask the girl why she viewed dark as being bad, I'm positive that her answer would've had nothing to do with race. She didn't even refer to the child on the right as black, she referred to the child as "dark." Also, the pictures on the right weren't even representative of actual black people since no one's skin is literally jet black as shown in the picture. Even the darkest black people are in fact dark brown.

Black students were in so many cases uninstructive. Being loud, obnoxious, ruining the chance for teachers to instruct or for others to learn. They had a denigrating affect on everyone across the board. Some relief I found in my one AP class, but this was little consolation. Test scores from before segregation to now paint a similar picture. Whilst black test scores are up by a small amount, white student test scores are way down. Big time. For what its worth, funding was by no means the issue. If anything, the public schools got more money per student than the Private schools did. It would have been unthinkable for the catholic schools to have full-fledged automotive programs (which were seldomly used but equipped for comprehensive automotive repairs including auto body). For 13% of the population to have improved their test scores by a small amount for the majority of the population's children to have taken a significant decline in their test scores does not seem like a wise idea. People say that experiencing other races is important.... that it prevents racism. For myself it did the exact opposite. Being surrounded by large numbers of these people made me see them for what they are. Enjoy your day everybody ~

The racial bias test taken by the little girl was ironically itself biased. When the person asked her to point to the good child, she pointed to the racially ambiguous child in the middle. However when the person asked her to point to the bad child, she pointed to the black one.
This doesn't mean that she has a bias against black people, stories throughout human history have used a dark colors to refer to things that are bad, humans are naturally afraid of the dark because bad things come out at night such as tigers and bears. This is basic evolutionary psychology, it's why almost every horror novel starts out with "a dark and stormy night."
I would've liked the person to ask the girl why she viewed dark as being bad, I'm positive that her answer would've had nothing to do with race. She didn't even refer to the child on the right as black, she referred to the child as "dark."
Also, the pictures on the right weren't even representative of actual black people since no one's skin is literally jet black as shown in the picture. Even the darkest black people are in fact dark brown.
