“And as for High Jackman… we’re keeping him” 😂😂😂😂
"You think we're giving this back?" Lol
John Oliver was on point right from the start. Season 1 and season 2 👍
And then the next 8
The recipe needs no change 🔥
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🥳
It's funny he transitions from NSA to Australia..but never got around to mentioning how Australia is a puppet state for the US and we use Pine Gap to monitor half the planet and we even ousted a prime minister who wouldn't submit to the US haha it's insane
The earliest seasons are the best ones
the mouse shaped nuggets (one mouse) bit genuinely might be my favorite bit he’s ever done 😭
The response to Australia's PM "dogs gone" was the funniest thing I've seen in ages 🤣🤣
John Oliver has the best staff ever!
Americans thing they can break the laws of other countries with impunity and then get their knickers in a twist when called out. Typical. Typical Americans, typical dog owners.
I was sad this got so dark because when they showed just the first clip of the agriculture minister just saying that even though Depp was the sexiest man alive twice, the dogs should "bugger off back to the US" I thought that was hilarious. I didn't think he was being serious.
By the way, they should have gotten Kiefer Sutherland to read the text for the response with the 24 style countdown clock. xD
That voting system of sayin aye or no at the same time as everyone else is soooo fuckin flawed
I'd be screaming.
It's pre-counted upon party lines, any member is allowed to request a full count if they wish. But the outcome of these bills is usually known before the actual vote.
It's used for votes where they know exactly what will happen in advance.
OMFG, I’m dying at the Hemsworth, the Wiggles… you’re killing me.
If this is how Americans see Australian “culture” then it ain’t so bad😂
Add in a desire to square up with a kangaroo at any time & an (understandable) hatred of cane toads, and that’s exactly how I picture Australia. Please never change.
yeah - Tyson were lying and corrupt in the 90's too. their general counsel back then was sent to prison for his actions. I watched him tell an auditorium of college students that "Tyson doesn't raise chickens that pollute the environment." Well they don't raise chickens at alll, so that was true. I did call him out on that in front of the auditorium, was wonderful to be a 23 year-old student watching an esteemed professional stammer and stutter for a response.
anyone else just have their home page filled with these? 🤣
We are all full of moth balls
Yeah and I unsubscribed because of it
Love it
no because I customised my settings like an adult😂
Yup I had to unsubscribed to see my normal subs line.
Oh shit, a Silverchair reference! My 90’s grunge heart is so happy right now 🐸🩵🩵🩵
As an Aussie this was hysterical 😂
As an American, just wanted to let you know that MY first reaction was, "I'm not giving back my AC/DC albums."
I was crying laughing by the Kuala part. Now we know why Napoleon dynamite didn't get paid for his work at the chicken farm. "GHAAAAAAAD"
Womack won the republicant primary against Clint Penzo and is facing off against Caitlin Draper.
"Caitlin Draper is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a clinical focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder and eating disorders. In addition to a private practice, Draper is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Arkansas School of Social Work." Hope she wins.
The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 is 1012 pages long.... CTR F didn't find that exact line, but it's too long for me to go over for a little followup comment that almost no one will read to check for other malfeasance.
The Entourage movie got a 6.5 on IMDB.
the hero we don't deserve, but so desperately needed. thank you
I read your response. And, as a fellow "puts-way-too-much-effort-into-informative-comments-that-almost-no-one-reads" commenter on UA-cam, I thank you my brother[/sister].
John making us regret our personal life choices and former opinions, one season drop at a time
We really need a recap rewind episode, I need to know how the stories end! What happened at the vote? Are we still labeling them CF'ers?
That'd be an awesome internet special. Circle back and see how the 10 most important ongoing stories ended or where they're at.
Australia having strict quarantine rules hits differently now 6:13
Will be great to see the current status of all the issues Oliver has raised in his show over so many yeats!
John stoping himself when nearly pronouncing 'Carribean' the American way should get him a knighthood.
We don't all pronounce it this way 😅
He's already refused an OBE lmao
So many Jet and Savage Garden albums…
Show me on the doll where Australian music hurt you 😂
Let the record show the witness pointed to the dolls ears.
Everywhere
I STILL deeply appreciate
AC/DC , INXS, Midnight Oil, Nick Cave, Icehouse among others.. my ears are fine!!
Barnaby Joyce = Kristi Noem
@@USCTrojan2013 😨😱🤮
Hahaha Peter Garrett from Midnight Oil became an elected Member of Parliament.
And you DARED knock Silverchair…. You beast!!!!!!
You're the best John, brilliant 😂👍❤️😍🤩
I'm taking severe issue with the rip on Midnight Oil. But I'm also laughing in tears.
John should have commited to go fully Benjamin Buttons by releasing one old episode every week.
Love it. ❤
"The No seem to have it."
Is that how voting really goes down for those discussions?
Because that's appalling and very concerning.
Most Parliaments/Congress' do voice votes by default. The Chair (in the case of the UK, the Speaker) will base the result of what he thinks the result is. If the result is disputed, the Speaker will call for a division.
In the United States, it works a similar way, except that before the Speaker of the House of Representatives, will normally hear a privileged motion to call for the full recorded vote of the matter. Additionally, final passage of any bill (before the House and Senate) by virtue of the Constitution, MUST be a recorded Aye/Nay vote.
You damn right we're keeping Hugh Jackman
what happened with the whole chicken situation? I want an update on this.
Same with everything else the companies still hold all the power while the farmers are getting screwed over even though without them we wouldn't be getting the chickens at the grocery storew
Well, the relationship between poultry companies and chicken farmers hasn't changed much in regards to their pay, however in said meeting about the Agricultural Appropriations Bill, the rider that prevented the USDA from enforcing protective rules for Poultry Farmers was not added. This means that Last Week Tonight may have actually changed or at least influenced US policymaking for the better, a somwhat rare occurrence nowadays.
Crazy this is almost a decade old...
Yeah, Tortoiseman Mitch looks just about three centuries old only
Thank you. I thought John looks especially young and fit, not to mention in great form.
John completely missed the oportunity to say: "The main ingredient in KFC chicken is not cruelty, it's poultry."
I love when they call out politicians for repeating bs. We need that now more than ever.
This episode is why I now have my own chickens!
The crazy Dakota governor lady must’ve been really inspired by Australia’s agriculture minister.
The narrator for all the videos like the Australia one is always so dang good. "Yipee g'day motherfuckers" was perfect
Knowing those dogs only got into Aus because of Amber is especially funny considering she accidentally inspired this great segment.
You apologize to that bear, sir.
Lets be fair, KFC doesn't even contain chicken so there is no chicken cruelty there!
Good old Mich needs the book thrown at him or would that be the old security law?
OMG that’s Genie from the Ducktales movie!!!!!!
Jose Mourinho's uncle runs FIFA lol
Wild to discover that all these years ago John made a joke about my biggest fetish lmao
Chickens?
Hugh Jackman?
Sean Connery?
Hairless bears?
Keep guessing guys, you’ll get it eventually!
Was that Leo McGarry as Womack???
I like Kyle, he vaguely reminds me of alan sugar's temper.
It was 160 BILLION chickens. Not million.
If Greg gets a strike 4, I think the roommate is more upset its only been 4 times.
I wish Last Week Tonight had also covered the Barnaby's Bench story.
19:30 Some of those Hens look like Roosters
John oliver speaking truth
Ah, gems
Turkey, it's a bird of paradise kept in a snowland box. It belongs in the tropics, it's an Emu.
Cargills West Virginia.

But what will cultures human meat taste like! SOYLENT GREEN LETS GOOOOOOOO
Sexually attracted to chicken 😂😂😂😂
I love that John despises Johnny Depp for some reason.
A chicken is just a snake with feathers...
Tyson, Mt Joy PA (Egg factory)
That’s hilarious j had some lobster tonight, and it tasted like chicken at the dinner table 😂
Joyce was right. You yanks can keep your rabid pets at home. We don’t have rabies here.
Also.. love the show
How dare you lump Chris Hemsworth in with Russell Crowe
#GoVegan already!!!
Barnaby Joyce, meet Kristi Noem.
If you have the inclination I encourage you to look into the rules in your area and get your own chickens. They are walking garbage disposals and the eggs you get are 1000 times better than any store bought egg. We got 4 last year we have less than half an acre and they have plenty of room. They are definitely worth having. I live inmichigan so even if you live where it gets cold lots of breeds do very well in cold weather. We don't even use supplemental heat in the winter. Just protect them from the wind and they stay warm. There was a study that said if like 1 in 3 people got there own chickens the egg industry would collapse.
I can't buy another chicken
Don't act surprised when you hear people from the Bible Belt with a southern drawl get pummeled by restrictions based on MONEY. That's all that matters down there.
Not enough commercials
talk about value.
this content drop should make internet history.
peace!
\o/
I could’ve lived a long and happy life having never seen a lizard being barbecued for lame reality t.v., a raccoon who clearly died in anguish being held in a plastic bag, a pile of alligators awaiting slaughter, or some poor dead armadillo being butchered in its protective shell. Do yourselves a favor and skip from 12:06 to 12:21.
Even more glad to be a vegetarian after watching this...
Apparently chicken tastes like everything else.
human is like travelling but many believe gods image
Everything doesn't *really* taste like chicken, it's our neurological perception. We taste with out brains. If you eat chicken a lot, especially since childhood, your brain associates similarly textured meats to taste this way.
It'a like when you hear a sound consistently then you think you are hearing it when you aren't.
This is a really good segment 😃 and I'm going to keep this prices of poultry and meat is skyrocketing everything went crazy as soon as Biden gave everybody a raise so that they could live a little bit better and it is the large produce and food corporations to put a cap on what they can charge there used to be a thing called fair market value I wonder what happened to that rule because if it was fair market value the prices would not be this high and we need to stick together and band together make a stand so that this stops this is unbelievable what the corporations are doing 😡
We all here on the Season 2 Tour?
In all fairness most Australians dislike Barnaby Joyce and Midnight Oil is a bit of a joke. You would have given us back Chris Hemmsworth? You wanna rethink that one now?
Not even John Oliver can make me feel bad for people in the profession of animal cruelty
The Australian government was being a lot more reasonable than I remembered. I had somehow misremembered it as the government wanting to kill the dogs, without giving him a chance to get them out of the country. Frankly, they were being compassionate.
Ngl the throat cancer victim in the audience is having the time of their life XD
27:28
Is the koala ok?

This is the bullet Indian farmers just dogged. God help Americans.
has anything actually changed in the last 9 years??
make worms taste like chicken then jammy
alligator does not taste like chicken
I'm only getting commercials every five minutes. This is unacceptable, I should have commercials every three minutes 😢
Man I am happy I only eat free range chickens, and not these factory farm abominations
These are ollllddd as hell 😂
You like chickens?
Watch Cooties.
Rabbit is the greenest meat. Greener than vegan life.
Sounds like farmers need to Unionize.
Happy to see Marcy Kaptur! Unfortunately, one of the few good politicians in Ohio
Chixn fukr!!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
Gonna tuck into my left over chicken bbq drum sticks while watching this me thinks!
*Social Mathematics* “Running From the Devil”
Firstly, there is not one kind of humanity any more than there is one kind of animal. For the sake of argument we shall break down humanity into four basic characteristics.
There are four basic variables in the people of America (or in the world for that matter).
1. There are action addicts.
2. There are work-a-holics.
3. There are those interested in their clarity, truth, and definitions.
4. There are those who make it back home and become mental health patients. These in turn become again one of the three above.
The reason for the layout in America is largely political. If everyone disconnected the media and lived at home there would be nothing but violence or war. This is the only real difference be civil nations and those in turmoil. There are streets, cars, architecture, and electronics, all with the intent of keeping you people busy and away from home and reality. Whether political leaders based civil planning and media based on a similar equation is unknown but certainly possible. In previous equations the work-a-holics would always fail because they had nowhere to go. You can change around the variables for any agenda you like. The political agenda should be general peace and prosperity, right? You can apply these four characteristics to learning and information, sure. You can’t just eliminate action addicts because prosperity would essentially fail. Finagling a political and informational key is not easy, but posting provides the possibility through pneumatic analysis. Juggling these variables gives a massive insight into today's political landscape that reveals its inherent flaws and could provide for a more rational political viewpoint in the future.
Note* Essentially modern politics tried to eliminate the third variable entirely and have a slave camp run by psychopaths.
Hi, comment bots!
Good luck.
Haha haha
crowd so annoying
I got half way through the video before realizing this was season 2...
WTF!!
