He wheelied my kx for about a mile up the road in netherburn where his pal lived ,I got a run in the famous 555 Subaru Impreza with the best rally driver ever lived through the backroads down the Clyde side … every hair on my body stands today even thinking about it.. thanks colin R.I.P.🏴

Colin has the most amazing father, he still continues his sons legacy, you can see the pain in his eyes deep down losing his son and grandson, knowing there won't be another mcrae to carry on racing and carrying on the legacy, if colin and his son were still here im sure the little one would be racing just like his father, never forgotten my friend 💙
Mcrae was Blocks driving hero, he's said it several times. RIP both of them. And if anyone with eyes watches Block taking his cars to the limit, you can see the inspiration. The biggest shame is that they never got to do any organised film shoot together, a Mcrae X Block Khana event would be unbelievable!

Im not at all interested in Motor Racing in general, but watching Colin in the late 90s as a kid was a different league. Ive always found those Ken Block driving-around-an-airfield things to be a bit gimmicky tbh, looking back at the variety of challenges, surfaces, terrains etc Rally drivers face. Colin and Richard Burns made rallying a mainstream TV sport in the UK when they were around, its so so sad that they're both no longer with us.
That era, with those two and the sainz, Tommi's, I was absolutely obsessed with rallying. Nowadays, it's just not the same. No individuality, with vehicles also. You'd have a 206 flying through the forest followed by a Skoda Saloon. Now they are all small hatchbacks

I marshalled on the RAC Rally for 20 years (1979-2000) I remember a lot of great drivers from that time including Colin. The Vauxhall Nova in the garage was it, the same car as driven by Allister McRae on the Tour Of Cornwall Rally? He was staying in the Caravan next to ours. He had trouble with the gearbox and stripped it down outside the caravan. I was co-driver for the Martony Auto Services Rover Metro 1.4 Gti. We finished the rally, but with no 2nd gear as we hit a pothole on an Airfield stage and it stripped all of the Syncro teeth of the side of the gear. Colin McRae and Richard Burns are sadly missed by me and my Ralliying friends of the Stort Vally Auto Club. Martin. (Thailand) Aged 65.

Played CM Rally 3, 2005 and Dirt 3(I know, not really a CM game but still, fun even with its issues). What a man! And what a father! Jimmy supported him. Jimmy was a great parent.

Why would anyone put ken block in a video about the legend Colin McRae. Any eget can spin a 4wd car round in circles but to master weight transfer throttle and braking control and the amazing technique colin had is whole different story.

And I own a Colin McRae game, so that got me watching this video until I stopped there to notice that! That's so cool... an inconceivable coincidence... with Nintendo... and Colin McRae... in one video... And it was interesting to see how Colin was trying to beat Carlos throughout the championship in order to take home the champion title for Britain. Interesting documentary!
possible theory is its because Nintendo and PlayStation where in a bidding war for the game in mid 90s. could have come out on the 64 instead. 3d games took much longer to be made then as they where still working out the programing the original colin mcrae game could have been in development for 5 years.
Colin Mcrae rally and first wheel for PC since elemetary school. That was part of my childhood. I still love racing games and simulators, but these days I have VR and 900° wheel with stick shifter. Thanks to that, I know how much focus it actually takes. Before I could not make professional time in Dirt rally, but I can now with manual setup, and it is great fun, but also demading and tracks like Finish jumps just makes you respect real rally drivers.

Next pass on the stage the car was all taped up .from that moment I was bitten by the ralling bug. We where so lucky to have such a legend in British ralling. Then we had another british legend in Richard Burns . It was a fantastic eara in British rallinging .both my hero's and both so missed
