    Chrissy just keeps getting better and better. I am more impressed with her now than I was the first time I seen her , and I was as impressed then as I have ever been with ANY living soul.

    I really enjoyed it. It'd almost like a modern ''Rock'' vibe to it, without losing any of it's traditional values. Esp like the pianist. Fantastic talent all round

    Agree with catamaraner about the drums. But great playing, especially enjoyed the tenor banjo, who's playing?

      I suspet it was Darren McMullen on the Banjo; he's a multi-instrumentalist, and is often switching instruments at (for example) Coig concerts.

    Am I the only person bothered by the fact that they're tapping their feet on the upbeats?

    • @yeshuasfriend

      +powerval Yo, almost all classic rock & roll and other genres of #whiteFolksMusic has the beat on the one. As someone who crosses genres all the time, I've had mad troubles trying to teach white dudes to dance on the downbeat for jazz, soul, R&B, hiphop, cajun, et cetera. So, no, I am not at all bothered.
      In fact, I am more bothered by your very, very silly question.

    • @valthejazzymetalhead
      @valthejazzymetalhead 8 років тому +2

      +Kate OLeary wow ok let me just try to remember what I was thinking 8 months ago...
      Oh right! To me, tapping/clapping/&c on the upbeat is the easy way out with this kind of music, where there is a more intuitive emphasis on the upbeat. I was just (jokingly) irked that these people were doing it while I'm over here training myself to mainly feel the downbeat while still playing naturally.
      Operative word here being "jokingly," I might add. It doesn't really matter, as they're obviously executing the music excellently.

    • @Francoismatte888
      @Francoismatte888 6 років тому +2

      There's simply a lag... the image and the music is not in sync. They're actually tapping on the beat.

    Lose the modern drum set and especially the cymbals... would be so much better to hear that original version. Sorry I know this is the preferred concert sound now, but ... it's just so "produced" by the time the cymbals are tgrough crashing and pipes skirling... poor guitarist didn't have a chance.

    A wonderful performance and you sure picked some great accompanists!
