No one in the world forgot these dragons after watching it. I was a small kid watching every video of yours, impressed and even tried to make one your way (failed dramatically). Thank you for all of your work, it’s still amazing to watch. Stay healthy.
Thank you for this very nice comment Kim! I am really flattered that you would take the time to write such a sweet message. I was in a slump for a while during the pandemic. But a comment like this is just what I needed to start a new project. I hope you stay well too. Take care.
Dan
I just like you Kim, it was very emotional for when I found this dragon once again
So proud of you and the foundation! Your dragon is amazing as always. I hope you raise tons of money for this horrible cancer.
R MARTIN
Thank you R Martin! I always appreciate your nice comments. I very much hope this campaign is successful.
Dan
I just bought two of your books. You are an inspiration to me: taking an under-appreciated art form and showing what can be done.
Thank you Jaylawe! Hope you have some fun!
Dan
Hey Mr. Dan! This is an AWESOME piece as well as you creating it for an AWESOME cause! I had an aunt to battle and fight with cancer but overcame it's ugliness and she is going strong in her life walk! Bless you Mr. Dan the Man:)) Hope all is well with you!
The Madison Crew
Hey Madisons! Hope all is well with you all too! Everyone I know has been touched by this terrible disease. Hopefully we are on the edge of winning.
Nice to hear from you!
Dan
Thanks, yes sir we're good. Ain't it the truth, I pray we will be there and soon! When I can I definitely will be helping in this cause. And as always it's good hearing from you. Take care!
I'm a pancreatic cancer survivor (3 yrs now!) and hope you do really well! I'm now living in Costa Rica (better for my recovery and more affordable on my social security) so have chosen not to enter so others have a better chance to win!
YAS I CAN IT

Dan
Thank you Dan,
I have trawled through you site and tutorials. I have learn a huge amount. Will invest in your books though. I keep wanting to ask questions so can I have links to your blogs.
I am more of a hands on learner so classes are always easier for me.
Su Eld-Weaver
Yes, I agree. Classes are always more motivating. But I don't offer them any more because the people that want them are all over the planet. There is never a critical mass in one place. Still, give it try. You'll be surprised how easy it is.
Good luck!
Dan
Would you mind doing one of the skyrim dragons at some point please when u have time as your work is spectacular 😀
Stacey Colder
Hello Stacy. I love the Skyrim dragons. I will do one at some point, I promise.
Dan
Hello, your work is amazing. Are you planning some kind of tutorial for begginers - how to make dragon like this one? Thanks for your time and amazing work.
yes great idea!!

Petr Stuchlý
Glad you like this! Thanks for the comment.
Dan
Na that's it I'm subscribing to this channel! I am simply blown away by this amazing work 👍
Good evening! I really like your works. Can I ask You a few details? Tell me please what you are gluing pieces of papier mache? Masking tape? And how are you at cutting papier mache (for example in the dragon's eggs) inside paper remains? You make an egg without form? Without clay or layout? Initially only glued the paper?
I am waiting for your reply.
+Наташа Котова
Somehow I missed this comment. Sorry. I put the pieces together with masking tape. When the mache dries on the eggs I cut them open and pull out the wads of paper leaving only the shell. I use a serrated knife to cut.
Dan
can you please make a video on how to make thr paper mache because mine never works
JD Hughes glue flour and water?

diabolicallink
Now I understand. That's funny. Thank you!
Dan
GourmetPaperMache I once did paper mache in art class. I made a.... fox.... It was just a box with ears, a tail and carved in eyes, nose and mouth XP. It was the third time for me that I did paper machete and it really wasn't that bad! Eh it was was a box that was SUPPOSED to be a fox but it looked like a cat.... WELL ANYWAYS you are a really talented person! I wish I had your talent! I know I will get to were you are if I keep me passion for art. Grande come Sempre ! Bravo !
Grazie mille come sempre! Apprezzo molto il tuo supporto.
I wish I was talented enough to make one like you did.
It's really much more about practice than talent. If you look at my website I have many many pages with photos of projects they made using my books and videos and instructions in my blog. They made great dragons, many on their first attempt. Just give it a try. I think you would love it. Thank you for watching and taking the time to write.
One of the best dragons you've made so far :o
Creeper Lamoureux
Thank you very much Creeper! I was trying to match the logo of the Foundation.
Dan
GourmetPaperMache Oh so that's why it looks so amazing, or maybe it's just because it looks like a real dragon. x)
Creeper Lamoureux
You are very kind.
Thank you again
GourmetPaperMache No problem
New subscriber over here, I came across this channel when I was on another subscribed channel and they were showing how to make a dragon skull (small). I saw one of your videos and I had to click on it. I'm really glad I did, I ended up watching like 10 of the videos and just amazed, I was like I want one of those dragons lol. They are amazing, you are so talented and your work is incredible. I love all the detail and the ancient looking finish you do. It would be so awesome to do a project like this with you.

I’m 7 years old and I’m your fan. One day I’ll learn how to make an awesome dragon like you. I got my aunt to write this message because I’ve yet to learn how to write long sentences
Hello Syed (and aunt). I am very happy you like my dragons! Thank you for the nice comment! When you start making dragons just let me know if you have questions. I'll be happy to help!
Dan
what effort you had put in making this only god knows because he made us
Actually I do know how much effort went into this since I made it. These are a bit labor intensive, but worth the effort I think. Thanks for watching!
Congrats, your job (art) is amazing! Parabéns, seu trabalho (arte) é incrível!
Thank you very much!
You are so talented
You are very kind. Thank you again!

+Miriam Cueva
Thank you Miriam!
Amazing yet again. I think it is wonderful the give away. I don't have the cancer that you are raising for, but being a cancer patient who is inoperable I find it so amazing when people like yourself do what you do to help those who are ill. You are an amazing artist and yes, an amazing soul as well. God bless. There is a special place in heaven for people like you!!
denverkat276
Well, you are very kind. Thank you for your remarks. I wish you all the best too!

*slowly lifts up sign saying "will work for dragons"*
funny!
I absolutely love your work! Recently saw one of your videos and immediately fell in love. Also..Eggs on toast with coffee over it...#SoMuchWin...in general your introductory video is just awesome all together. Thank you so much for inspiring such a new passion and desire to learn a new medium. I just ordered both of your how to books...Can't wait to get started!! Can't thank you enough!

Hello Gela. Thanks for the nice note! I'm happy that you find this interesting. I think you will enjoy this medium.
Good luck. Let me know if you ever have any questions.
Dan
Very, very. very, very cool!!!!!
Paper_Dragon
Thanks Paper Dragon! Hope all is well with you.
Dan
Next one, add St. Michael slaying the dragon.
Hey! Really enjoy the art, incredible how every detail comes together. I like working with my hands to create, this type of mache art would be a great hobbie. What do you use for scales and details? The white strip stuff. Anyway great video man!
Chuckie Hernandez
Thanks Chuckie. I use cloth (bed sheets) dipped in white glue for details. I call the process "cloth mache".
Dan
You are so Awesome -- Sauce !! Smooches. I normally do not like dragons, but I am drawn to your work and it's carefulness and detailed accuracy, color blending. We need vid from you on just blending and creating colors. And of course who could not luv luv your dad's fav breakfast. I'm sure he was a hoot. You have so much talent and artisticness. Would it be rude to ask if you could consider producing a how to on a fearsome but friendly looking swan in Paper mache ? i'd luv to c what your rendition would be..You know huge wings and claws but soft beautiful face ??? Thanks for just being you !!!!
+Mercedes Freeman
You are very sweet Mercedes. Thank you for this very nice note! I just do art because it feeds me the right way (if you know what I mean). I do love pulling things out of thin air. I'm sure that's true of every artist on the planet. That's an interesting idea about the swan. Who knows. Maybe.
Thanks again. Take care
Dan
I love your creative so much
Thank you very much!
Felicitaciones!!! que impresionante!!
Congratulations! Awesome!!!
Diseños Artesanales
Thank you Disenos Artesanales! You are very kind.
Dan
Hiii I've been binge watching all of these and am obsessed !!! Love your work. I am planning to try it out soon! I would like to know though, is there an alternative to cloth ? (Like can I use white paper) also is in necessary to use newspaper? Once again, love your work 😊
Very happy you the work Elise. Thanks. You can use anything you want as a "skin". I use cloth because it makes the project very strong and allows for detail that is hard to get with just paper. Good luck!
Woooooooow!!!! Congratulations!!!
wow that is amazing! i guess if your an artist any material will do.
You are very kind. Thank you!
My father-in-law has been showing me your videos and he loves your work. Would love to win this and give it to him!
Rudy Obst
Good luck Rudy! Maybe you will be the lucky one!
Dan
Very nice you sure do have talent!👍✏
Thank you Lorely! You are very kind.
HE MAN YOUR WORK IS JUST AWESOME.
CAN YOU TELL ME HOW DID YOU MADE THE TEATH?
*Teeth
This is soooooooo cool
OMAGAH ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME!
HOW DID YOU DO THAT?! ITS AWESOME !
It is just practice. Just start and keep making things. Thanks for the nice comment!
@@Gourmetpapermache No Problem! ^^ I will start to recycling tomorrow !
Yet again another brilliant piece of artwork! Just wanted to ask, how does one make scales? Like the ones used on your double dragon? These art pieces never cease to surprise!
Luke Frampton
Thank you Luke! I fold cloth that has been dipped in white glue for the scales. For the double dragons they are just folded into polygons.
Take care
Dan
Oh, thankyou very much. Great art as always!
Amazing work!!! I Love it!!! I like to know what`s the material do you use to make the horns. Thanks!!!
Perfect job!! Congratulations!! What do you use to do the eyes?? They are really great!
F-J Entretenimento
Thank you. I use taxidermy eyes. In this case I bought "blanks" and painted them myself.
Dan
I think as a tip, the colors were great, but the black washing wasn't really necessary and it kinda turned the project to a more dark-toned color.
But else than that it was great!
Hope to see your next one soon!
spinocroc123
Without the blackwashing much of the detail gets lost. Thanks for the note.
that's an amazing model. Now you should create casts of them and replicate them in silicon so that kids can enjoy squishy moving versions of them.
+Cpt.AirWolf
Thanks Cpt Air Wolf. I have investigated casting methods for years. There just isn't a technique that would capture these sculptures. Between the size and the detail, it would be almost impossible. But thanks for taking the time to write.
Dan
you're welcome man. It's so rare to find real artisans in our busy society that tends to want to create everything virtually instead. I always like to take the time to thank you guys for keeping real art alive!
+Cpt.AirWolf
Well you are very kind. I see that you are in the military? Thank you for your service.
Wow! It's amazing! I love your dragons! Haja I need your book and then I try do make one too! ^^
blackshaytan
Glad you like this blackshaytan. Yes, give it a try.

That was amazing....
