Today we're gonna build the easiest IRON farm that exists in the game which gives a lot of iron! I hope you guys enjoy it!
Welcome to this EASY IRON FARM tutorial in Minecraft 1.20! In this step-by-step guide, you'll learn how to construct a highly efficient Iron farm that allows you to quickly gather tons of iron from iron golems in Minecraft. You can build this in minecraft Survival!

Couple of tips for this farm
- golems may spawn on caves so just check what's under the farm and put buttons/strings/slabs/pathblocks to spawnproof the cave
- villagers outside the farm can spawn golems through gossiping, either get rid of the villagers or kill the iron golems that spawn
- if golems don't spawn, just put blocks on the "feet" of the bed and let the villagers sleep, remove the blocks when all villagers already slept on their beds and golems should start spawning.
- when making multiple iron farms, make sure that the villagers from your 1st iron farm are 16 blocks away from the iron golem spawning chamber of the 2nd iron farm, and vice versa.
- you can use other job site blocks (such as blast furnace, smoker, smithing table and fletching table), as long as it has a flat surface on top.
- you can suffocate the golem by putting blocks and pathblocks/buttons on top if you still don't have lava.
- use lightning rods to protect the villagers from thunder
- put "bottom" slabs around the killing chamber to stop villagers from swimming in the lava, make sure it's non-flammable.
- a lot of people ask "can you build this in bedrock?". Unfortunately no, the feature scaring the villagers to spawn iron golems is only exclusive for java edition.

@@efn9700 make sure all of the villagers slept. Try putting dirt on top of the feet of the beds to let them sleep then remove the dirt after

I didn't do this build but flattening the Dirt really helped and the Iron Golem spawned at the right spot, thank you

I paved my village area with rows of stairs blocks; they also can't spawn on those. I tried slabs but it completely destroyed the pathfinding of my villagers, while stairs did not.

How did u get it work when I get a zombie in the boat he just burns when I sleep. When the building looks like his or fully covered. It won’t spawn a golem
@@boeshull475 The boat needs to be directly below the slab, such that the zombie is directly under the wooden slab and won't burn. Try following what the video did and align the boat in front of the bed. Hope this helps!
@@boeshull475if you properly follow the video there should be 0 issues present, if you want extra protection for the zombie simply build a big ceiling overhead.

This is so easy and it spawned a golem immediately, just like in your video. Im impressed.
You can even have it near your other villagers. I have some villagers for trading nearby (outside the 7 block radius) and they dont intervene with the farm.

For those who are wondering:
1. The farm size is 19x19 blocks.
2. 2:16 you need to place the hopper in the middle and NOT in the corner so that iron golems won't stuck inside dirt blocks.
3. Not sure, but this farm gives more than 330 iron per hour.

The hopper is in the middle and doesn't allow the golem to touch dirt blocks, I'm not sure what you are getting at.

Slabs let light through that killed my zombie so I used path dirt instead, also used two trapdoor to break up their line of sight with the zombie so they constantly get scared, also name tagged him

Simple, fast and legitimate. This is the best iron farm out of all others on youtube. Excellent for a beginner survival world with minimum resources needed :D
NOTE: If your villager keeps dying, then put a trapdoor on the block partitioning between the zombie and villager.

Do I need to be in a village or can I do this somewhere else?
It's actually better to do it far outside the village, because when panicking, villagers sense nearby iron golems and won't spawn anymore if there is one alive within like 30 blocks.

Yes you can but you have to make the villager boxes at least 20 blocks away so 2 golems can spawn at the time. If you build it too close and golem spawn the other villagers will detect him and they will not spawn any golem until the detected one is dead. (I hope it is understandable English is my second language)

I built the farm and it worked perfectly for a couple of hours but now its stopped working, just like all the other iron farms. I'm playing on Java, 1.20.4.
Golems may spawn underground (caves under villagers)
Therefore, villagers detected golems nearby(y+-7) and stopped functioning.
Same, it was like I went really far away and it stopped working after I came back. No caves around I have checked with spectator mode.
I’m having the exact same issue!
I copied the world, viewed it in spectator mode and looked underground. I couldn’t find the golem but it started working again in the copied world, opened the original and the farm works again there too!
See my comment above for some tips on golems and the village center. The farm needs to be in or very near to the village center to work properly. Golems spawn in the village center on blocks that have spaces above them. Not on paths, blocks with flowers or other objects on it, etc. Put a 3x3 square of dirt next to the kill pit and clear (put down paths) at least 10 blocks from the kill pit in all directions assuming you have the farm in the village center or near to it.

I have a fix for the farm. the farm will only work for about 20 min normally because the game will detect if any of the villagers have slept in the beds in the last 20 mins. Since the zombie is constantly scaring them in the regular design the cant sleep. what you have to do is move the slabs with buttons on top and the zombie two blocks back. After that you have to put trapdoors with buttons on top where the slabs were before you moved them. this should fix the farm.

The farm works for about 20~30 minutes then the villagers stop sleeping since they are constantly in a panicked state. The zombie also needs to be moved slightly back from the beds as their increased range lets them hit the villagers if the boat is flush with the beds. Some slabs above the back of the room with the zombie with buttons on them will ensure it doesn't burn in the day. Anyone found a good design tweak for 1.20 to make it still work?
It works fine for me, the villagers do sleep for half a second even while panicked idk why but that seem to count for the "slept in the last 20 minutes" criteria, i'm using this for 4 irl days and still working (i've spent much more than 20 min on the game in these 4 days)
I found making a roof over the zombie worked, you can move it back a little.
@@desprometidoSee my post above for a bunch of tips about golems, villages, and this iron farm. This farm works if positioned properly in a village and you have enough villagers. More villagers = more golems = more iron. Once I got mine constructed and adjusted by adding more villagers and moving the villager center I got more than 400 iron in a relatively short period. Now I have more iron than I can use at the moment.

How do you place the lava? It does not let me place it on the sign.
If you're on pc press shift and then place but if you're on mobile press the Crouch and then place it.

If the golems were spawning, and then stopped, try replacing the zombie it worked with me.

So what am I doing wrong? I put the villagers in, I made the exact replica, but as soon as I put the zombie in the boat he's able to reach the villagers and kill them, while they try to attempt to sleep
Back the zombie up a bit, it seems something changed in 1.20 and I had to do the same thing.
