I'm not a mmd creator but watching this video made me realise how MUCH work and efforts u put in a single video😭😭 thank you so muchh for all the efforts and masterpieces u have made😭😭💕💕
NOTE! I already said this at the beginning, this tutorial might be hard to understand if you have 0 experience with MMD. So please explore the application first before ya’ll ask me how to do basic stuffs 🥲 I apologize for editing, grammar or spelling errors if there are any hahahuhu I added timestamps so just jump to parts you want to see hahaha also my knowledge is limited so I may be wrong in some parts here hehe forgive me 😵💫🙏 April 2022: I updated description box, please check before asking thank you~
Nice explanation of the graph even if u don't think it's the best it's better than nothing, many if not most just shows you what shape you should make the graph as if it's like a lucky symbol or something 😅
I’ve watched the tutorial even if I’m not familiar with animation at all because I genuinely love your content 🥺 I admire you so much and I’m so grateful for all the videos you put out! I’m a big chilumi stan and you have no idea how much I love your videos ♥️ can’t wait to follow you in this journey and see your future progress ♥️
I use Blender after about 8 years of MMD. Even then, i'll still find a use out of this. Always great to see how ppl learn how to animate stuff. Thanks for sharing!!
As a person who knows nothing about animation, this video showed me how much effort, time, and work you put into the smallest details and into a video as a whole. Thank you SO MUCH for all the adorable and amazing content that you make.💕
Jaizy sensei! Thank you so much ☺👍, and for people who start and learn animation, good luck! Just step by step (don't rush) and you will used to it, practice makes perfect 👍
Btw for the physics part, you can do the manual animation trick on on/off mode as well, when you want to turn off your model's physics select all -> physics OFF. this makes the physics bones animateable! After the hard part is done you can select them and press physics on again to turn physics on
I’ve tried so many 3d animation softwares including blender, and then I found MMD and oh my gosh it’s so much more easy. Thank you for your amazing tutorial , keep up the good work ! 🫶
you were the one who the inspired me to download and make my first mmd video earlier this year!!! Thank you for providing us with crumbs and always making my bad days better with your uploads! Hope you have a lovely year, dear!
I've been wanting to get into MMD for a bit since I learned that's where a lot of my favorite dances are made and it feels like an extension of the posing I already do. This video was wonderful and you were adorable even if you think you're cringe :3
oh, so the "blocking" term they called is actually called Straight Ahead Action and Pose to Pose in animation terminologies(one of the principles in animation). I've been an animator for more than 10yrs but I'm new to this software so your steps were very great. I'm using toon boom harmony to animate the series I'm working on right now so I've never animated 3D before. Using curves really helps the animation to be smooth. That's called ease-in and ease-out. The S curve practically just combines the ease in and ease out principle.
thank you so much for these tips they definitely help🙏ive been using mmd for about 8-9 years (yea im old🥲); its still amazing how animators put life into things that don't move on their own, if that makes sense lol
I'm glad it helped hehehe and I know what you mean ☺️ that's what I love about animating hehe makes me admire animators a lot 🥺💖 also, I've been in mmd that long as well if I didn't stop 6 years ago 😅 me old as well xD
Wow, watching this made me realize that mmd making is a very complex process and it really take so much time and effort. Just wow! Goodluck to all mmd makers out there! Stay strong!!!
Thank you so much for making this video! I know tutorials can be quite hard to make, especially when you just animate for fun. I use a different program but a lot of these tips still apply and help a lot so thank you! Wished I knew some of these things before animating my first Genshin animation xD But as you said, animating is a learning process ^-^ (Also love your voice!!)
it's inspiring! thank you for giving the tips (especially the background. it's so creative) Also you are so amazing at making animations! I wish I could make smooth animations like you :D
Jaizy when I first discovered you, I was just getting startedand it was so real I thought you'd taken the scenes out of the play. You're really working hard, and this video is very useful
I just watching you edit it and Im already so tired 😭 this is very very hard for me but thank you for every effort that you make these videos to me I always love your childelumine videos 🥺❤️
Bruh downloading that is already complicated in my POV but ACTUALLY USING looks way more complicated. It makes me greatful to all these amazing people who took the time to make a tutorial.
Thank you for making such entertaining content with clips we wont see in the main plot of genshin. I always watch fan made art form with passion, as I cannot fathom but try to comprehend the amount of effort that goes into the final piece. So its not a clip which will just get comments about the situation shown, but with praise of your hardwork put into it ❤
UR VOICE IS SO MUCH PRETTIER THAN THE VOICE OVER 😭 but thank you so much lmao, i really wanted to become an animator growing up and i guess nows the chance. thanks so much
I have 0 animating experience beforehand and don't even have MMD yet but I got so in love with your animation that I'm just itching to learn! So I was pleasantly surprised that your explanation was very easy to understand! It was so useful and I cant wait to apply it! Thanks, Jaizy!
very helpful! as a young mmd user, this helped me a lot and learned more about how to use interpolation curves! so far i have been learning for now 2 weeks and i have been making progress now lately! by doing simple animations like hand waving and expressions! i did have some inconvenience a long the way.. but hey! im managing it!
alskjdlaksj I normally don't put that much effort, unless needed, but for the sake of the tutorial 🤣 don't wanna embarrass myself with a half-assed simple arm animation T^T
I just found your channel yet I'm already hooked to your content. Love your vibe. Very helpful for those of us who wants to learn how to animate with MMD.
I actually learnt everything you said in just a couple of minutes xd I'M GLAD! MY ANIMATIONS FINALLY LOOK SMOOTH! Next is just animating the eyes and adding the music, as well as learning camera movements and a few more stuff. u.u I understood the Interpolation Curve faster because I used to animate in my phone and Alight Motion has that. :3 (It was tricky at first though)
WOW! 🤯😳 Thanks to this tutorial I learned a lot of new things. This is the first time I've heard about the interpilation curve, but thanks to your video, I now know how it works🤩✨ Thank you so much for this video!!🤗 ✨
I'm more impressed by your way of teaching than the video .... Btw thanks for help, will start making these videos for my Genshin characters and also for stories that I make❤❤
THIS IS AMAZINGGGGG,,, omg im in love with your chanel now!! Just watched a bunch of your other animations and theyre so smooth and natural!! I love it!
Thank you so much!! You deserve a lot of subscribers, I became a ChiLumi fan because of your animations and this tutorial inspired me to try animating too. ♡
Lol I actually didn't realize that I used to watch your vocaloid mmd videos back when vocaloid was the hype. So that's why I find your videos a bit familiar. Time really flies fast.
This is a wonderful video! Your animations are sooo pretty! I recently picked up MMD to animate music videos for the vocaloid songs I write! This is super helpful.
Just wanted to see what MMD was about before I jump back into Blender and learn to animate properly. Hopefully I can apply some of your animation concepts there!
I have used MMD for a few years and only ever animated like 3 times from scratch, I still don't understand the interpolation curve but I want to make dances. As of now I only make pictures because animation frustrates me and my own models are always not good enough to showcase in animation. I have a high end computer now and I did try making a dance a few months ago but gave up, I am going to try animation again. Thank you for the tutorial. I will keep rewatching until I understand.
Frustration is part of learning ^^ Trust me, this cost me a ton of head scratches, screaming and mental breakdowns because I couldn't understand or couldn't animate better, the way I want it to and just entirely believed I'm stupid HAHA but trust the process ^^ have patience for yourself because you're still learning (even if you're no longer a beginner as well) Good luck!
i thank 9 year old me for making me learn the basics of mmd and thank you for this amazing tutorial! all that's left is to actually make an animation T^T

I’m glad to hear that hehe ☺️☺️ I also dropped it before for similar reasons 🥴 Genshin as well as other mmd creators in the community just really pushed me through my limits and motivated me to study more 🤣🤣
Interpolation curves for easier for those to understand who have some experience with After Effects and make graphic motions amv stuff. It was easy for me 😁
The Interpolation curve tutorial helped me remade my motion which is from the Regular Show Goodbye kiss scene . Added also with the we are the champions ending . Although it still has a lot of improvement but to me it looks fine but in the future , I'll be serious in doing smooth animations from now on
