Surf Perch Fishing at Morro Strand State Park

Caught some huge and good-sized surfperch at Morro Strand State Park. Also, went and ate at Umi Sushi & Sake Restaurant. The food was delicious.

You fished high tide or does tide not matter?

I always fish on high tide. You have more chances catching them on high tide.

I have 3 different brands: Shimano, Okuma and GRX and they are all 8' 6."

Not too far, just right behind the waves.

Can you cannot keep pregnant fish

Yes, you can keep them but we usaully release the pregnant ones so that there can be future generations of perch.
