This is why the scripture tell us to always know our reward is in heaven, and God who sees what will do will reward us in open when the time come. Everything he was doing was for people to see so that's why you felt bitter. And also your heart was set to the fact that God is the one to reward you, you wanted the applaud of men so you were angry
