This is the secret of knowing God through reading remember what God commanded Joshua to read day and night Joshua 1:8-9 psalm 1:2 if it was nowadays Christians we can say and answer God why telling me this because am mature already tell me other things to do.meditate over that. God didn't tell Joshua other things and does not mean Joshua didn't know the important of reading bcz already he was a minister before, he didn't came minister after Moses died.dear brother and sisters there is power in reading in spirit pray to God to give you the spirit of understanding when reading don't read like novel books you will get nothing.,sometimes it seems like is useless, but when you stop reading you will become useless.this secret even the devil know it that's why he uses the strategic to tie believers not reading the word of God but busy on social media,watching things that will lead them to destruction
