WOW girl, you aren't messing about with your savings 💷 I bought a new build house and I used my ISA bonus to pay for a chunk of the solicitors fees. I also got a deal with my mortgage broker who had a £1000 incentive which i threw at moving costs etc. Houses are expennnnnnsive. But it will be so worth it to have your own place and to be on the property market at such a young age, best thing me and my partner did. Great video xo

New sub here❤ I bought a brand-new house in December of last year. For the deposit, we could only put down 5%. I'm unsure what the criteria were, but we bought and dealt directly with the builder. Because we were first-time buyers and bought an eco-friendly house, the government helped us with an additional 5%, which brought the total deposit to £25,000. The solicitor cost around £1,800, and the mortgage advisor only charged us £350. In our case, we decided to pay for the flooring separately (which was a big mistake), and that added an extra £3,500 plus some additional documents that cost extra. Regarding moving furniture/staff, we paid £260, which was in Oxford. I know prices vary from region to region. Altogether, it came to around £20,000. I hope this helps. Solicitors fees are in region of £2500-£4500 depending on what type of property and how much you need to use them.
Surveyors £800-£1500 depending on property.
We spent around £2000 on a sofa, £1500 on new bed, £4000 on appliances etc.
carpets around £700 per room
Decorating my dad did it but you would be looking around £150 a day rate plus materials for decorating.
ahhh amazing, thank you i will keep this all in mind!!! i've defo under budgeted though, that's a a lot more expensive than i thought 😂 maybe i'll stay at home haha!! xx
