Some good fun. That place seems to breed excels like rabbits. What was the cause of your brakes binding up last time. Ever done a track guide for Sandown? Going there in a few weeks, last time the clutch didn't like the high 9000 plus rpm and exploded.
Sadly, I don't have a in depth guide to sandown, it's not too complex of a circuit. But, I do have some recent in-car footage that may be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/bn7a7QAJaig/v-deo.html I have another video that describes the brake issue here: ua-cam.com/video/P8kEatUWFtU/v-deo.html
That thing is fast! Can't wait to go out on my first track day with my NBFL (even if it's just a na 1.6 with sticky semislicks on that I'll never be able to bring up to temperature lol)
Hey Matt, great track, was my first time there, the car loved it for most of the day until the gearbox started to get rather angry with 4th gear late in the arvo.
@@Bbeavis don't now about amateur but maybe something to think about it really helps the car balance under brakes will stop the over steer into corners
Was expecting an end-credits scene with some of those "unpleasant photos" 🤣 Serious question, is it typical of your local track day organizations to allow open passing like that?
Ive been contemplating getting a 3.3 final drive for my turbo build. Do you find youre always shifting very often since redline comes very very fast in boost?
My car runs a 3.6 diff, and mazda 6 spd. The gearing is mostly OK in my opinion, albeit 1st and 2nd are rarely used. I don't have enough power to exceed the possible speed of 6th gear, so a 3.3 would make for longer ratios, but probably a slower car.
@@Bbeavis thanks for responding and I totally understand what you mean. Maybe for a bigger track with longer straights it would make sense but like you mentioned if you're not getting to the top of 6th there's not much point.
Hey Red Rocket, this car doesn't meet the rules/specs for any specific race class. I only really drive sprint events as it's purely a fun toy for me, I don't have the time and funds to commit to a proper race category.
This test day made for a nice variety of cars, but also a broad range of speeds, so it certainly was a little harder than usual to get a quiet lap to myself.
Great video as always, I do fear for your synchro's/gears with that shifter though!
Hey Mark, I agree, it's getting really bad lately.
This is awesome!
You're awesome.
Man this thing performs well on track. Video never does justice for speed in cars. But this thing looks fast even on video😂 keep up the great work
Thank you YataJoris, really appreciate it.
love the g meter (air freshener) lol

Thank you Drew :-)
All hail the algorithm
Perhaps in my dreams would the algorithm care for my type of videos.

Getting out there is all that matters, hope you enjoy! What tires are you running?
Thank you Erik, good luck with your first track day - I'm sure it'll go great!
Damn dude, you are trucking!
What are your alignment settings?
Thank you, about normal alignment for a car of this config, 3.5deg/2deg camber front/rear, not much toe front or rear.
How did she go at The Bend?
Hey Matt, great track, was my first time there, the car loved it for most of the day until the gearbox started to get rather angry with 4th gear late in the arvo.
Ah great stuff mate. Pity she was unhappy there. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for her if you return.
Great videos by the way. 👌
great vid just one question why do you not heel and toe on the down shift it looked to really upset the balance of the car a couple of times
Amateur driver.

Seemingly fast she is! What are your feelings about the gurney flap?
Thank you. The gurney flap is only a small change, not something I can properly feel a difference, but I still like it regardless.

Test and tune day is much more like a race practice meeting than a track day.
@@marksvideochannel3592 That's a kind way of saying absolute free for all
FFS, I sell a bloke a camera and get this sort of criticism.
Said "unpleasant photos" were not safe for UA-cam.

What is the track timing system you use?
Racechrono Android App. The gps is a little unreliable at the moment, so the data was a little bit erratic.
Thanks.
Have you ever run this thing in a Vic state category?

Car and driver so fast, do you ever get a lap without traffic? Annoying NC losing it in front of you ❓
This test day made for a nice variety of cars, but also a broad range of speeds, so it certainly was a little harder than usual to get a quiet lap to myself.
