Its a sad song dedicated to his mother who past away. It’s a about how much he wishes she was still alive and wishes her eyes had never shut so he can stare into them. It’s sadder when you find out he wrong it all himself. He has been writing songs since he was a child. I cry, every time I hear this song.
I found an army💜
Same in here, makes me cry too
Y Rocio a su hijo
💯
You guys have stumbled upon a man who is greater than a legend, greater than an icon, he is the soul of my people. Hated on early on for his flamboyant ways, he turned a nation filled with machismo and arrogance to view him in a completely different way. Breaking walls and barriers, he tapped into Mexico soul with heartfelt lyrics and profound voice. This song was a dedication of eternal love to a mother who never accepted him and shunned him as a child. His heart so pure wanted nothing more than acceptance. If only he knew the amount of happiness and joy he brought “a Pueblo”, we are eternally grateful and beyond proud to say he is a Mexican a Idol.
SO TRUE! DE TODO CORAZÓN GRACIAS... MI GRAN RESPETO HACIA SUS BELLAS PALABRAS!
You naild it. More than a legend.
The BEST description I have ever read! Our Juan Gabriel will live forever in our hearts💕. I wish they actually understood the lyrics as they they were reacting though.
This is the song you sing at funerals to your love ones in hispanic/mexican culture just became tradition
Horrible y hermosa canción!

He is singing about when his mom died in Acapulco read that story 😢

This is real emotion, the song was composed for his mother who passed. She was not a good mother to him, but he loved her and tried his best with her. It’s a very, sad story.
Oh my goodness I never knew that, I thought she was a good mother.😮😢
also he found out his mother died while he was in Acapulco thats why his lyrics about the place
He wrote it for the nun who raised him at the orphanage where he was raised

Around 5:37 his lyrics are "el más triste recuerdo de Acapulco" which means the saddest memory of Acapulco. He's referring to his mother passing away and finding out about her death when he was on tour in Acapulco. It's such a sad song, the emotions he has are just so real and I love how the audience knows just how hard it is for him and sing part of the song for him.
He wrote this song about the passing of his mother. This song is very famous in Mexico and commonly recited when a loved one passes.
When he started he said that he wanted to dedicate this song to all of the mothers that were in attendance.
From 4:39 to about 5:50 in his video it’s Juan Gabriel COMPLETELY improvising those lyrics! Those are not in the original song, which again is proof of him being one of the greatest performers, lyricist and singers of ALL TIME and not just of Mexico!
There isn’t a Mexican in this world that doesn’t k ow and at least love one of his thousands of songs!
So heartfelt and deep…words that hit our very core! He is One of the Threads woven deep into Mexico’s soul! 💗
He's not in a character guys. He's singing from experience :')
The reason why his heart is broken and he interprets the song like that is because his mother died and he feels a lot of pain because together they suffered a lot as you cannot imagine when he was young, if they knew Spanish believe me they would be curled up crying wanting to go hug their relatives or remembering someone special, is the magic of this man
He looks up to the sky a lot because the song is about his mother who died, he wrote the song for her when she died. That's why he sings with that euphoria and it seems that he is going to cry
He actually wrote the original song for Rocio Dúrcal when her song drowned in Acapulco, this is a special arrangement for his mom though.

His pain is real, it be nice if you guys do another reacción after you get the translation or in another video make a comment about what you think after understanding that song better. Your audience will love you for that.
Actually the moment he continued singing after letting the audience since for him, he started improvising. He was no longer since the original lyrics. He is a master lyricist and the can improvise on the spot in a big show like that live. He was an amazing performer with natural stage presence.

This song means "eternel love" is dedicated to his mother who died. You can imagin the intensity of emotion. Respect to him.
To the guys in the video: He was not acting you fools! feel you were a bit unrespectful to a real artist, it feels some plasticity in this video. First and last I watch.
I recommend that you guys should look at the lyrics before listening to the songs. Even without knowing the lyrics you guys got emotional, imagine how many goosebumps you would have if you knew the lyrics. I love your reactions guys.

It’s called “ETERNAL LOVE”, because it’s dedicated to a deceased loved one. In this case, it’s his mom.
🎶You are the sadness in my eyes
That weep in silence for your love
I look at myself in the mirror and see my face
The time I've suffered because of your goodbye
I force my thought to forget you
Because I'm always thinking of yesterday
I'd rather be sleeping than awake
Because of how much it hurts that you are not here
How I wish, ay*, that you lived,
That your little eyes had never had to close,
And to be looking at them
Eternal love, and unforgettable
Sooner or later I will be with you
To continue loving each other
I have suffered so much due to your absence
Since that day up to today, I'm not happy
And even though tranquil is my conscience
I know that I could have done more for you
Dark solitude I am living,
The same solitude of your grave
You are the love of which I have
The saddest memory in Acapulco
Juan gabriel is the greatest spanish speaking singer/artist of all time. Around this time in the video, he was around his prime. During this time he was doing 4-6 hour long shows, which is why his already raspy voice was more noticible in this video
i have him in my top 5 mexican singers
Easy number 1 for all he’s done
Yea i may sometimes prefer to listen to other artist or genres, but we should all recognize that no other artist have done more for Spanish-speaking music than Juan Gabriel

If only you understand the words. This is a song about his mom who has died. He is a treasure in all of Latin America. Highly respected
There is no character, it's him in raw form singing about his mother's death.
He's dedicating a song to his mother who past and while she was alive he didn't have the opportunity to do more for his mother and he mentions that although she's gone he will always have internal love for her. He wrote or write all his songs. She abandoned him when he was a child because she was unable to care for him !. Although no matter what she's everything to him. This made me cried like a baby.
'I am living a dark loneliness, the same loneliness that I find in your grave"...100% dedicated to his mom who passed away.
He made this song for his mom. There's not one Mexican that doesn't cry with this song.
I truly recommend you look up the translation for this song . It will have an effect in your lives and value more your love ones.

Juan Gabriel is definitely a legend, his voice, his style, his songs are all so iconic in Mexican culture. You're right about him being charasmatic, his stage presence was everything.
Saludos!!!!

Im late on this video but its kind of upsetting how little justice you gave this song and performance. If you would've bothered to even look up the lyrics, you wouldve been in tears like every other reactor or person watching this.
This song was written for his mother, his mom passed before this concert, i would recommend to read the lyrics, it will hit you 10 times harder
It willl never hit the same unless you know spanish b.c when u translate it loses some of the rythm and meaning
I was fortunate to see him in concert at least two times. Men and women of all ages. Eventhough we had seats, everyone was up and dancing, singing with him. Always respectful and a showman. He was known to sing was after the show was over. It was his gift to all the people. About 5 years before he passed away he got together with many singers of all genres and procured duos so he left a legacy for many of the younger people. They made a series of his life which talked about his sad childhood and success. He passed away shortly after the last episode. Rip never another like Juan Gabriel.
eternal love, a song that he dedicates to his mother who died
This is a song he wrote about his mother's death. His emotion on that stage is real. This is a song that Mexicans and many others throughout the world sing at funerals and to loved ones who have passed.
The lyrics of this song (Endless Love) talk about how love survives death and the sadness of his life since his loved one passed ... this song was dedicated to his deceased mom, and all the loneliness he felt since she was gone...
He wrote this song among thousands... he was a very talented and proflific artist, he composed wonderfully and his voice was also great.
Juan Gabriel had a difficult childhood. His mother abandoned him and he wrote this song for her. This song isn't just a performance but it's a cry to his mom, he's not just acting but he's actually really crying to his mom.
OMG Justin! Juan Gabriel is a legend! This song always makes me cry because he sings it with so much emotion. Thank you for watching his video!
I kind of remember meeting him once when I was a little girl. My mom won tickets to see him perform around the Texas Panhandle. Plus I got to take a picture with him.
Juan Gabriel dedicated this song to his mother and it is very sentimental, it is one of the few singers who touch your soul and make you cry, greetings :)
Eternal love. He wrote this song for his mother after she passed away.
If you two could understand spanish, you would be crying 20 seconds in 😂
Juan Gabriel was one of the most famous and powerful singers, songwriter and actor around the globe! He was known for his flamboyant style. He broke barriers within the Latin music market! Widely considered one of the best and most prolific Mexican composers and singers of all time, he has been called a pop icon. Thousands and thousands of people would comento his concerts! He was a superstar like many other Mexican singers.
He sang to his mom that passed away and that is real. He compossed that song to his mom
Amazing . My mom can’t play this song because it reminds her of my brother. It’s such a powerful emotional song. Rest In Peace brother.
A deeply moving song dedicated to all mothers especially those that are no longer with us...his emotion is rooted in the eternal love of his mother whom he lost. A very powerful song and knowing the background makes it that much more moving.
He wrote this song when he lost his mother. He put so much emotion into performing this.
You need to know Juan Gabriel's history. The youngest of 10, his mother abandoned him, putting him in a boarding school. This song is about her. This concert was one of three performed at Teatro de Bellas Artes, and he donated all monies to the symphony. Juan Gabriel was the most prolific song writer and "gave" songs to different performers.
If you only knew what he was singing about you wouldn't be sitting there laughing you would actually be crying it's a very deep and emotional song about his mother's passing
Can’t blame them? They dont understand the language.. but even then they are admiring his voice.
@@Jessnutz87 but it doesn’t take long to google the lyrics in English. But then again, they are giving us a raw reaction without knowing the language. The emotions of this song and the emotions of juanga breaks language barriers
@@Jessnutz87 if they want to make content about stuff from another language I feel like it’s only right they put in that effort it’s only right and respectful…

Mexican classic singers are known for their power, passion, belting and emotion. This is what made their songs and memory so iconic and why still till today, us mexicans sing and listen to their songs, and we will pass them on to our children

Thank you for putting all this time and effort translating this song, it’s really my ultimate favourite song of all time. Gracias
This song is very memorable for all Mexicans because it speaks of eternal love for a mother who has already died. It's like a hymn to our mother.
He wrote this song for his mom who died in Acapulco México
Please more respect in Memory of one of the best singer from México
He is singing to his mom who had passed away. This is a song you sing to your loved ones who have passed away. It talks about eternal love , that sooner or later they will meet again to keep loving each other.
I like that you didn't put subtitles. Let the emotion transcend the language. Loved this reaction!
The chorus translates to: How much I would love that you’re still alive, that your eyes have never ever closed and still looking... eternal love and unforgettable, sooner or later I will be with you to keep loving us in the eternal love.
This song is like an anthem to those who have lost someone (he lost his mother)... not necessarily the most upbeat song out there but very emotional and meaningful...
It's both a love and heartbreak song. He dedicated this song to his mother who passed away while he was on tour. He wishes he had seen his mother's eyes before they eternally closed.
Nothing like ‘eternal love’ for his mother wishing he could have done more for her. Love Juanga.
He wrote that song for his mom who passed away. Every time he sings it, he remembers his mom. RIP Juan Grabiel

My father would always play this song after my grandmother passed away i tear up everytime i hear it miss you grandma❤
He is a leyend. Huge in latin america. The best singer of all latin america. My favorite. Juan Gabriel...
"Juan Gabriel", is Definately in a class of "All time Best in Music", in terms of performances, iconic and influential performers, along with the likes of "Elvis" only, different genre. Whats more, a step above in talent, because "Juan Gabriel" wrote and composed nearly all, if not, all of his music. And let me tell you, not just any music, intended on being of "B Side" quality. He had so so many hits throughout his career, that he had plenty more, to Boost other performers to the moon. TRULY a gift to the world in so many ways. A shame, only The Latin world knows of him.
Un placer verlos reaccionar a cantantes mexicanos, reacción a.."ABRAZAME MUY FUERTE"..de Juan Gabriel.gracias!!
Juan Gabriel wrote this song to his mother who passed away. He wrote this song to her because he came out of the closet and she didn’t accept him and mistreated him all his life and through everything he still loved his mother. This song will make you cry if you speak Spanish because his lyrics are so powerful and meaningful. He wrote this song with everything he had all his emotions and heart. He loved his mother after everything she did to him.
Awesome!!! 😍 Juan Gabriel was so unique! Thanks for reacting to this. The lyrics are very sad...it’s about love and death, the memories and how you wish the one who died was still alive. 😭😭😭 Amor Eterno means Eternal Love.
Juan Gabriel is one of the best voices and writers in Mexican history. His story is quite tragic though since his best works (including this one) were the results of sad moments in his life. Therefore, his producers were known to influence tragedies in his life so he could continue writing epic songs. @Justin Burke, you were spot on that this was a love song. But, it's about a love one that hasmpassed away. What's most notable is that the audience is captivated in complete silence, most likely in remembrance of those that have passed on. Mexican's love Karaoke and the fact that you couldn't hear a single soul singing along is reflection of Juan Gabriels masterful performance.
It’s a heart felt song to his mother who passed so when we mexicans here it hits hard always Mexico 🇲🇽
He was in Acapulco when his mother passed away he couldn't go and mourn. he had to perform and he nailed it. This song has so much depth since his mother never accepted him in part do to his sexuality.
React to hasta que te conocí of Juan Gabriel this song is amazing.
It's from to the same concert ♡♡♡♡
I've seen him in person and this man would give it his all in every song and every concert. So this song was actually written to his mother that passed away. and he would sing this song towards the end of the concert and was raspy and also here he had done tons of concerts. he started when he was in his 20's and here he's in his like 40's. This song meant so much to him.
It’s a song that talks about loosing someone you loved, to be specific your parents... it’s a really beautiful song that hits so hard, and this singer, the only I can say is that he is a Mexican legend and all his musical themes are amazing
He is singing about his mother's death, it's refreshing to find you two on youtube listening to Mexico's greatest singers, keep it up guys!

Mexican music is thee most beautiful and powerful; simply special.
Be blessed, brother and sister in spirit.
Rocío Durcal is another great one. She sings this same song with her touch. She was a Spaniard, but Mexico fully embraced her. Jose Jose's "El Triste" is mesmorizing as well
When his mother passed and wrote this song he didn't have the will to perform this song so he passed it on to Rocio Durcal who origianlly started performing it, it wasn't until later he started finally to perform it. You guys should do a react on her version its as passionate. Her version is the one usually played at funerals as a Mexican tradition.
Thanks and God Bless you for reaction to this great Mexican Artist. This Song he write remember his mom.
You hit the nail right on the head, he’s is a great story teller. I had the privilege to see him perform live 16 times. ❤️ Mexicos hero!
Thank you guys great reaction!!! JuanGa was very charismatic and a great performer! He also wrote lots of songs more than a thousand I believe.
I'm Spanish speaker and this is my first time hearing this song and performance. Magnificent! Thank you!
Thanks for your reaction to the big leyend 💜. This song is about the loss of a loved one, he wrote it when his mother died. It is a very sad song, they usually dedicate it when someone in your family dies. When they react to songs in Spanish, I recommend that they read the lyrics first or put a video with subtitles.

Heartbreak 💔 song, heartbroken 'cause singing it to his late mom. Written by him for his mom after she passed away. He's heartbroken. 💔
This song was dedicated to his mother that passed away. In the passed she abandoned him but in time they found each other again and they started to get to know each other but then she died. And his sadness is real.
I’m Mexican American and don’t speak or understand Spanish but the performance made me tear up a little he sang beautiful
I don't think people realize what this song means to so many people. So many people break down in years when hearing this song. It's played at funerals to remember those who have passed away.
Yes, years man this keeps the years rolling down my face⏳⏳⏳
If you ever perform and the audience just sings your song. That's when you know you made it.
